Try this - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
Take it to an Apple Store for evaluation.

Hey, so i got a second generation iPod touch this morning and it was working fine until i tried to put headphones in it. The head phones wouldn't fit so I took them out. Now the speakers wont work (and I have the volume up and everything) and my music is freezing. The rest of my itouch is slower than before but it still works. I recieved an iPad mini as gift this past spring (2013). I tried to upate my iPad to the new iOS 7.0.4 software. It seemed work fine, but when it reboted it got stuck on the connect to itunes screen. I've connected my iPad to itunes and it does not recognize it. When I connected my iPhone 5s to itunes it recognized it immediately. Will apple replace my ipad if the connect to itunes screen doesn't go away?

The iPad doesn't need to be replaced.
FORCE IPAD INTO RECOVERY MODE
1. Turn off iPad
2. Turn on computer and launch iTune (make sure you have the latest version of iTune)
3. Plug USB cable into computer's USB port
4. Hold Home button down and plug the other end of cable into docking port. Do not release button until you see picture of iTune and plug (very important)
5. Release Home button.
ON COMPUTER
6. iTune has detected iPad in recovery mode. You must restore this iPad before it can be used with iTune.
7. Select "Restore iPad"...
Note: Data will be lost

Not unless you've got accidental damage cover on it with Apple and I don't think that's even covered with Applecare - if you have that then check with them directly.
Otherwise you may need to see if you can claim for it under your house contents insurance.

If you moved them to your iPad then they will have been removed from your Mac. If they are no longer in the iPad's Videos app following the update then you will need to try contacting iTunes support and see if they will let you re-download them : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page

Usually takes about 15 - 20 Seconds... ( But can take Longer...)

Check your settings in System Preferences>Sound. If that does not help, perform a PRAM reset.

No Japanese carrier provides unlocking services. Therefore, your phone must have been hacked to unlock it. That hack was removed when you updated the software. You need to be a legitimately unlocked phone.

There is only one speaker, what looks like another speaker is actually a microphone. All iPhones only have one speaker down by the dock connector.

Are they selected under System Preferences>Sound? Or do you see something such as "Digital Output" listed instead of "Internal Speakers"?
It may be that your digital out switch is 'stuck.' This usually happens after using headphones and you can usually see a red light coming from the audio out port. You can 'fix' this by plugging and unplugging a headphone jack repeatedly until the switch is reset.
