Will Apple replace the headphone jack?

The headphone jack on my ipod classic work, but also doesn't work. I can still play music and listen to my music fine, but the headphone jack isn't working like it did a few months ago.

If your phone is still under warranty, Apple will service your phone for free.
Did you check the headphone port for any kind of debris or lint?
Did you already try another set of headphones? Are you suing the headphones that came with the phone?
Is the headphone jack plugged in fully into the headphone port?

Will apple replace the L shape MagSafe Adapter? The pins are sticking causing my late 2011 macbook not to receive charge.

Yes, Apple will replace it if you are still under warranty. Otherwise, as in my case, you will have to buy a new one.
I purchased my MacBook Air July of 2011.  Approximately four months later the adapter stopped working. I brought my MacBook and the adapter to the Genius bar. The adapter was replaced because it was under warranty. To make sure the problem was not something I did as I didn’t want to duplicate, I inquired and was told some adapters just have problems.  After two weeks, I noticed the rubber coating to the wire bunched up on the L end that connects to the MacBook Air on the replacement adapter. I returned to the store and was assured that my concern was unwarranted and that since the adapter was working fine I was fine and that if it stopped working I could just return it. On 11/22/12 it was not getting power. I returned to the store. After being asked where I returned the adapter when I originally had the problem (same store) I was informed that the replacement adapter was only covered for three months, to be happy it lasted as long as it did, and I would need to buy a new one for $61. However, the store didn’t have the adapter I needed and could buy the 60W adapter for $79. I was told I could go up, just not down. Before leaving, however, I asked if I was doing something wrong with the adapter and how long the new one was covered for. He inspected the nonworking adapter, pointed at the where the wire connects to the base and said no, usually people have their cords pulled from here but yours looks fine. On the plus side, the rubber coating around the wire of the new adapter appears thicker with no chance of sliding and bunching up. Glad Apple fixed this issue.

  • I currently smashed my screen on my iphone 5 and I have repair warranty but I don't have the receipt, will apple replace the phone on the spot?

I currently smashed my screen on my iphone 5 and I have repair warranty but I don't have the receipt, will apple replace the phone on the spot? or do they send it away and repair it?
I bought the phone on ebay and it has no insurance or anything. but it has repair warranty until august.
Im located in Melbourne - Victoria - Australia if that helps.

    Hi CleanAus.
My tip is to go to the nearest Apple Store and make a appointment with one Genius Bar agent.
Of course, they will not replace the phone for you but they will repair it if you pay for it.
The warranty does not apply on cracked screens, caused by the user.

  • Can i just have apple replace the earphone jack on my ipod classic 160gb; nothing else?

I really don't want to spend $150 on replacing a 10-20 dollar part. I just want them to replace the part, nothing else.

Apple doesn't actually repair iPod, but does an out of warranty exchange of it for a refurbished model of the same generation and capacity.
So if you want just the headphone jack fixed, you'll need to find a third party iPod repair service. Google "iPod headphone jack repair" and you should get a number of results to work with.

  • Will apple replace my headphones with new ones?

hi iv had my headphones for almost 1 year now..
the rubber has came off the headphones and the sound quality has faded
    will apple replace these?
i still have the box and receipt

Apple will only not replace them if they have been damaged through misuse or an accident. If they have been used properly they are warranted to work for one year. If they failed at 11 months and 29 days it does not matter that they've been "well loved and well used", they are supposed to last for one full year. Unless they purchase AppleCare then it is two years.

By all means, take them in and see what they say. I could be quite mistaken.
    deggie--
    AppleCare states:
Your Plan covers defects for the Applebranded product(s) listed in your Planʼs Certificate or Proof of Coverage document (“Plan Confirmation”) and the accessories that are contained in the product(s) original packaging (“Covered Equipment”),
(ii) Under APP for iPod, Apple will provide technical support for the Covered Equipment, iPod OS
and software applications that are pre-installed with the Covered Equipment (both referred to as
"iPod Software") and connectivity issues between the Covered Equipment and a supported
computer, meaning a computer that meets the Covered Equipmentʼs connectivity specifications and
runs an operating system that is supported by the Covered Equipment. Apple will provide support
for the then-current version of the iPod Software, and the prior supported Major Release.
Also--I never said that they shouldn't take them back--just to not be surprised if they were not replaced. They may well be, and as stated above, +I could be quite mistaken.+
I am also presuming that these are not the stock earbuds that come with iPods, but a set of headphones that may not be stock issue. (They may not even be Apple-brand.) If these are the Apple in-ear headphones with remote that one buys as a standalone purchase, then they should be replaced if under a year. If these are the Dr. Dre sets...who knows? I am working with the information I got from the original poster.
I guess I've worked too much retail, and have seen too many worst-case scenarios. I'd rather see them get replaced (and be incorrect) than to say yes, they'll be replaced no questions asked--and find out later they weren't.
Still--a year warranty should be a year warranty....

  • Will Apple replace my headphones? Please help!

2 months ago I bought an iPhone 4. The headphones that came with it have sadly stopped working. The right earbud doesn't work and same with the remote (buttons). The headphones are the Apple Headphones with Mic and Remote. Will Apple replace it for free and how can I do that? There is no apple store near me, so would I do it through mail, or what? Can someone explain the process? Thanks!

Go to the store from where you bought them, and they should handle it.
Other vise, call Apple Customer Service.
But yes, you should get them replaced.

  • I have just replaced the headphone jack, volume button and mute switch ribbon in my sister's iphone

As you see I replaced the ribbon on my sister's iphone. The volume buttons and mute switch dont work while the headphone jack works perfectly. Also it cannot find any wifi networks. Anyone having the same problem? This iphone has not been restored since it was bought. Or should she update to iOS7 maybe that'll help?
    Thanks

Thanks but thats not gonna happen. Way too expensive, the company I bought the replacement off send me another one maybe its the ribbon. Im going to restore it first though.

  • Will apple replace the earpods that i had for about a month?

Ive had the earpods for about a month i got them when i ordered the iphone 5 off the atat website i was going to use them today but they didn't work. Will apple replace them? If they do do i have to bring anything besides the earpods?

Besides the earbuds included with the iPhone, you purchased an additional set of Apple earbuds?
The earbuds are under warranty if determined by Apple to be defective. It won't hurt to bring your receipt.

It's probably easier to order a new board as it's separate from the main mother board.
