I have an iPod touch 5g, which i bought in January of 2013. This iPod has been malfunctioning for a couple of days now. I connect it to a power source since it indicates its low on battery. When I do, it turns on, however, it will not charge much and the battery will continue to be red on the top right hand corner of the screen. I have an app which helps indicate around how much battery the iPod has. This app says that the iPod never charges past 15% and if i disconnect it, it shuts down. If the problem is in the battery, and it's a hardware problem, will Apple replace my iPod? Can they still do it? It is over a year old, but after all, i paid for a product that would last longer than a year and a half, didn't I?

You no longer have warranty coverage. Whatever Apple will do you will have to pay for it since it is out of warranty.

for a new one? (my current one has no scratches, still has the headphones & charger, with the manuals, the box, stickers & everything)

I have been lightly using my iPod touch 5th generation 32 gigabyte model for about 2 and a half months and have noticed a problem. When I try to insert my apple earpods into the jack, they will not go all the way in even with significant force. I have looked inside the jack using a flashlight, yet i see nothing inside. This suddenly happened and im not sure why. If i take it into a genius bar will they replace the device for me? It is still under warranty as it was only bought 2 and a half months ago. What will they say if i bring it to them?

As stated in your previous posts, there is no way anyone here can say with any certainty what Apple may say. You will need to talk to the folks at the Apple store.

1) Buy a replecement apple will give you half off on a new one if you give them the old one
2) check the receipt and if its under a year old call the store you got it at (if you got it at an apple store you can try but dont get your hopes up)
3) buy a replacement sceen kit they come with the screen and the tools to extract the old

No body knows about the next gen of any Apple products, other than they always advance. There are still many much older products in successful use so that should not be a problem. My iPad original cannot use iOS 6.1.3 but it still does what I want and works great.
If you have the 4th gen, use it aa long as it meets your needs. If it doesn't look at the options for a new one at that time.

As lllaass said, you'll have to go to the Apple Store and ask. Apple is not obligated to replace your iPod, since user-caused damage is not covered by warranty, but in some cases in the past a technician has made exceptions. Such exceptions, though, are reportedly becoming much harder to grant. But you can ask.
