  • When will Apple Support Ultraviolet Digital Copies?

This is something of a cross post for iPad & iPhone, but I won't be cross posting it as they can be a bit annoying.
I'm a huge fan of digital copies, wasn't once, but now am.  Having digital copies is something that does factor into me deciding when to buy a film on Blu-Ray and when to wait.
The new thing that is being pushed now is Ultraviolet, a quasi-cloud type service, for digital copies.  However it can only be used by a select few devices; Mac (and even Windows) don't support it.  Personally I prefer the standard digital copy, I maintain my library, back it up when I make new purchases and save my recipets in case anything happens.  And of course a big reason I prefer it is because I won't be hopping between two services for them.
My question is when will Apple support Ultraviolet Digital Copies?  Or will there be an alternative where the Blu-Ray will include a code for a traditional digital copy that if used will void the UV copy and vice-versa?
I would personally prefer an alternative as I'd hate managing two accounts to handle my digital copies.

  • Will Apple support facetime and imessage in Ipod though 5.1.1 ?

Will Apple support facetime and imessage in Ipod though 5.1.1 ?

The Apple Messages app cones with iOS 5 and later. That means a 3G and later iPod has Messages.
Facetime requires a front camera. That only the 4G and later iPod has FaceTime

Apple does not take trade-ins. You'll have to look for a dealer that does, though you'll probably get more for the iPad 1 if you sell it yourself.

When will Apple support the new Olympus E-M10? Frustrating that the last Camera RAW update did not include it.

  • When will Apple support MAP on the iPhone iO6?

When will Apple support MAP on the iPhone iO6?

Guess I could have been clearer.  What I am referring to is MAP-compatable (Message Access Profile) phone pairing for text messaging in newer vehicles.  Apple does not support this service, would make driving safer if they did.

  • Brand new iPhone 4, and speakers doesn't work, did restore back to factory settings, not luck, any suggestions. This iPhone was purchased in US, currently in India, will Apple support in India?

Brand new iPhone 4 (unlocked), got it activated yesterday, and speakers doesn't work, did restore back to factory settings, not luck, any suggestions. This iPhone was purchased in US, currently in India, will Apple support in India?

There are many threads on this forum regarding speaker not working issues.  You might try searching them.  Hopefully you'll find the answer you need.
BTW, the iPhone only has ONE speaker.

  • Will apple buy back my ipad if I want to upgrade?

I want to upgrade to a 3G ipad. Will apple buy my wifi ipad for some sort of price?

Look on thier website, there is some sort of recycling program, but honestly? You'll get more money if you sell your device outright then use the proceeds towards a new one. For an iPad 2 you can probably get 150 - 200ish for it (just look for sold devices on ebay to get a realistic idea of paid prices)

When will Apple release the next update that enables Ipad 2 users to use Siri on their device?

  • When will apple support Canon EOS M3 Raw?

I have Canon EOS M3 and trying to import the produced raw in iPhoto, however, the format cannot be supported by iPhoto. This raw can be read by canon DPP 4.2.0(hosted in my MBA) and I believe it is because M3 is a new released camera model by Canon.
When will apple update iPhoto to support raw of M3?

APple never ever announces in advance, if an when raw support will be released for a new camera. only Apple knows. Sorry.

  • What browsers and what versions of those browsers does Apple support on the iPad?

I need to be sure I can get help if I need it. Other big companies (who shall remain unnamed at this time) have a policy of what they test with, and how many versions back they support. Is there anything like this for Apple? We're getting our team iPads and I want to make sure everyone can get help if they need it as I won't have control over what the download, etc.

The only browser that Apple supports for OS X and iOS is Safari. On a new purchase, you'll get free support from Apple for 90 days.
You get support from us iPad users 24/7. Unless an iPad is jailbroken (you don't want to do this), the only place where you can download apps is Apple's app store. Apple has verified that the apps don't have a virus or malware, so you don't need any antivirus app on the iPad.
One thing that iOS doesn't have on the iPad is Flash for viewing some types of videos,
Adobe has not made a version of Flash for the iPad.

  • Will Apple replace my frayed iPad USB cord if my warranty is still active?

My iPad USB cable is frayed and does not charge my iPad. It does charge my iPhone 4 fine, but when I plug it into my iPad it says "Not Charging" in the status bar. My warranty is still good, so will Apple replace the cord? Anyone experience this problem?

Take it to your local Apple retailer to ask. I believe they will replace it for you.

  • Apple Support got my iPad connected!

Just got off the phone with Apple Support after spending the last 9 hours over 2 days trying to get my iPad to connect. The iPad joined my wireless network without any problem but couldn't load pages from Safari or access email. I took a long time with the first Apple Support rep doing everything I'd previously done again and then got bumped to a Tier 2 rep. Lots more of the same stuff, then he asks me what DNS is the iPad showing? I told him 10.0.1.4. He then asked, "What is showing on the MacPro?" I told him 208.67.222.222. "Ha!" he said, "You changed your DNS server!" I told him I had because of issues I'd had with my ISP (Bresnan) provided DNS servers. He had me manually change the DNS server on my iPad - viola! - works like a champ. Thanks Apple Support!
