Will Apple TV make my wife forgive me...

...for converting her from a film photographer to a digital photographer? She tells me all the time that all the pictures that she has shot over the last five years are simply gone to her because she can't see them. She uses an old Dell laptop with a 40 gig hard drive and can't fit all her pics on that. She is not going to be lugging around some external hard drive connected to the laptop, nor is the screen big enough to really show the pics. I have a nice macbook pro computer that does have enough room to store all the pics but she doesn't use that computer at all, nor would I be happy if she decided to start using it.
I have two different thoughts at this point. One is to get the new, cheaper 160 gig Apple TV and then load onto it all her pictures (which are mostly currently stored on backup DVDs that I burned from the Mac) and let her use the Apple remote to look at the pics on the big screen TV. But I would prefer if I did not have to store all the pics on my Macbook Pro laptop in order to keep them synced with the Apple TV. Can I just simply copy the pics to the Apple TV and then, after backing the pics up from my hard drive to an external drive, delete those files from my internal hard drive? Or does Apple TV require that things on Apple TV have to exist on my laptop?
The second thought was to buy a cheap nettop or netbook with lots of hard drive space and let her use that browse and view pics.

It'd also be worth considering what sort of numbers of photos you're talking about here, and are they JPGs, RAWs, fairly small size, huge, from point and shoot or DSLR.
To be honest I think AppleTV is a great way to show photos, but as Winston notes they are handled a bit differently to other things.
I'd personally be tempted to set up another user account on your Mac under her name, create a new iPhoto library (hold option when opening) on an external drive and use that as the account default. Then sync AppleTV with this account and external iPhoto library having added all the photos to it.
Depending on her degree of computer literacy you may need to add the new stuff to the library from time to time but you would not then need the stuff on your laptop.
160GB will offer lots of storagve potential, especially as you could potentially downsize very large photos for TV display if AppleTV was running low in space.

Will apple ever make a rugged phone

I want apple to make a phone that can withstand daily beatings, drops, and bangs. I want a phone that is waterproof, dirt and dust proof, and drop proof. The phones now are fragile and break very easily

No, no phone manufacturer can realistically make a phone that can be protected from users functioning without brain cells. The best you can do is buy a well designed case such as Otter box.
As for the iPhone being "fragile and break very easily", I would have to disagree. I have two that are over two years old. In fine condition without being treated with any exceptional care. If you are breaking your phones, I'd suggest you look at your own behavior.

I think it's annoying when you have to delete a app at a time in the multiask bar. It would be good if they made it so there is a button saying delete all apps in mutlitasking bar. It would make me and probably many other apple users happy. It would save a lot time.

With some notable exceptions like audio apps that actually run in the background, most apps on the task bar are not actually running. They are not actually doing anything, just sitting there in a suspended state until the next time you execute them by bringing them up on the screen. There really is no need nor reason to be constantly clearing them away.

Since I'm norwegian, I often write texts and articles in Norwegian on my Mac. I currently have pages, but it bothers me that it always corrects my texts to swedish or english. So my question is, is there a norwegian dictionary for pages that I haven't found yet, and if not, will there ever be?

I believe the "slightly down-graded" version of iOS 5 would be iOS 3 or iOS 4.

Well, all said above probably are true. It would serve us all, including Apple and Apple consumers like yourself and myself, it would be wise to submit a feedback for enhancement request to include this feature you mentioned.
So, it would be wise to submit feedback for any kind of consideration such as enhancement request, feature or something, or if any issue or recommendation, all you have to do is submit a feedback. Usually that there is a specific feedbank link provided on Apple product somewhere on Apple website. I am pretty certain that Professional apps have specific web page just for feedback purpose.
I would believe and think that Apple would be very happy to hear your feedback, the more, the better.

At what point will apple declare a device to be a lemon and replace it

I have a macbook pro retina, 512 gb ssd and 8 gb ram, that is basically a brick. It was purchased in September 2012, new from a Best Buy stor in Greenwood, Indiana. Since that time the device has had numerous, documented by calls to apple support, issues that were unexplainable through many levels of service and by many apple service professinals. It has been back to the apple store twice for repair. The things that I recall being replaced are the logic board, top cover, ssd and the mountain lion image as well as restored data from backups numerous times. The device is going back in Friday, February 15 (I just picked it up from Apple on the 10th from its latest repair) because the fans race (spin up soon after power-on) the keyboard and touchpad are disabled prior to sing-on (interestingly the pram and smc can be reset from the device, though) and kernel process consumes between 600%-650% of cpu time (according to activity monitor. Of course it now operates very slowly.
My point is this: Nobocy has been able to diagnose the problem. Now it is a customer service/satisfaction issue (and it has been for q while) that needs to be fixed. As far as I am concerned, it's a piece of junk and should be replaced. By something. Permanently. Immediately. Many of my work colleagues have now had second thoughts of ever getting an Apple computer because of this ONE brick.
I'm no neophyte. This is my third MacBook Pro, and the only bad one. My wife has a 13" MacBook Pro that's been great and IT replaced a 13" MacBook that was also very good.
Will Apple every make this right? I'm tired of being the beta tester.

Sounds like what's becoming an epidemic with retinas and high fan speed. Seems that a bad internal temp sensor can cause this to happen.
Run a hardware diagnostic report on the system and see if you get anything back. But bottom line is, you need to call Apple Consumer Relations (call AppleCare and ask for this department) and they should be able to get you a replacement. This is ridiculous.... that's too many repairs for it not to be considered a lemon. I would have already given you another one by now and also probably upgraded a couple of options on it as a measure of good will.

So what now? Will Apple ditch iWeb? They could at least tell us what's going to happen. If they ditch the app I'll ditch Apple. After all I bought the Macs for my wife so she could make her own websites.

Will Apple make a desktop app (OS X) for Beats Music? Seems to make sense. Can Apple make THAT kind of decision, now that the deal is done? I would love to use it when on my MBP.

What apple will probably do is embed the streaming service into iTunes but no one really knows what will happen, or if they are going to keep the beats name for the service. They're rumors saying that apple will put beats on all iOS devices in the next iOS update so I guess we will see how they incorporate the service into their services.

Because the retina 15 only has a wifi connection (no ethernet), that's the connection I'm stuck with for the notebook. But on the 27iMac, I did have both ethernet and wifi enabled. When I turned the wifi off on the 27, therer was a brief moment when both computers were showing their counterparts when I tried to make a network connection. BUT, after a few seconds of 'searching', the computer I was trying to connect to disappeared from the Network list.
So I tried the opposite; the retina can only connect thru wifi, so that's a given. I swithched my ethernet off and then enabed the wifi on the 27 and ....same thing: When I try a network connection, there are a few seconds of 'searching', then the ony option I'm left with is share screen, which doesn't work either.
I've read the 'dropped' network is a problem with the retina, but the odd thing is that I never lose my internet connection—that continues to work fine, as does Air Drop—but I can't seem to connect, network-wise.
Any ideas about the dropped network?

people repport that apple products in general I believe have problems with support for the outdated encryption type called wep encryption which is also pretty useless and easy to break
if you use that try disabling it or changing to wpa encryption
if you use MAC address filtering in your router then you need to add the appletv's MAC address to the positive list
