Will Apple update PHP to version 5.3.2 in SL Server 10.6.3 update ?

Current bundled version is PHP 5.3 which is buggy and insecure.
I would like to avoid having to compile my own version.
There is an update around the corner, but I can't find this useful information.
Can any person that have access to the current beta let me know if Apple updated PHP to 5.3.1 or 5.3.2
Thanks.

So, when will Apple upgrade to 5.3.2?
I have this notice:
Warning: PHP 5.3.1 has a bug in it and is not supported by MediaWiki. You should use PHP 5.3.0 or PHP 5.3.2 instead.
The bug is:
[2009-12-06 23:40 UTC] tstarling at wikimedia dot org
Description:
This is a regression in the PHP 5.3.1 release. When you call a __call() function with a reference parameter, it is silently converted to a value, by the time it reaches the second argument to __call().
This breaks MediaWiki and has no obvious workaround.
Reproduce code:
function foo( &$x ) {}
class Proxy {
function __call( $name, $args ) {
debugzvaldump( $args );
calluser_funcarray( 'foo', $args );
$arg = 1;
$args = array( &$arg );
$proxy = new Proxy;
calluser_funcarray( array( &$proxy, 'bar' ), $args );
Expected result:
PHP 5.3.0 produces:
array(1) refcount(4){
[0]=>
&long(1) refcount(5)
Actual result:
array(1) refcount(4){
[0]=>
long(1) refcount(3)
Warning: Parameter 1 to foo() expected to be a reference, value given in /home/tstarling/src/php/stuff/test-reference-call.php on line 8

    When will Apple update Aperture for Olympus E-5 RAW?

    This is starting to annoy me at a level where I'm considering switching to Lightroom when they release a new major version number.
    The D7000 hit the shelves about the same time as the E-5 and it's included in the latest update. I realize that Olympus is not exactly mainstream but neither is Aperture. If Apple wants to keep us happy then they must act within this year to supply that update. I doubt that will happen though.

  • Music, Photos, Videos... I can't sync anything for iPhone 4. When will Apple release the new version of iTunes?

    I tried every methods up online trying to sync the music, photo, and videos. Nothing is working right now ever since I updated my ios to 7.
    This is happening to most of people who owns iPhone 4, 4S, and 5. Does anyone know when will Apple release the new version of iTunes which will fix the sync problem?
    What's the point of having a smartphone when you can't sync anything?

  • Will apple update the applemaps for UAE?

    does anyone know when will apple update the applemaps for UAE?

    IF you have the latest version, the Maps app has a feedback button for reporting errors and inaccuracies. Given the debacle that the initial Maps release turned out to be, it appears that reports are taken very seriously and resolved, so you may be in luck. That's the best we have.

  • When Will Apple Update iWeb?

    Im wondering and asking when will Apple find the time to update Iweb?
    They have the potential to have the best software for those that want to make lovely sites.
    It would need to be of the Iphoto standard or even slightly more advanced with better updated templates.
    Now that we have updated OS and now our retina devices we need that standrd to create.
    Please Apple fill our needs!

    I haven't seen an official notice of discontinuation. But even if iWeb has been discontinued (as its absence suggests), we're all just users like yourself here so would only be able to speculate on the reasons — and, according to Support Community etiquette, we are to "avoid speculation".

  • IPod Touch 4g Repair (will apple update if I bring it there to repair screen-LCD)

    I need to fix my iPod 4g screen because the LCD is screwed. Will they update it to the latest software if I bring it to the apple store to fix? My software currently is 4.3.3 and its tethered jailbroken. I don't want it updated. Will they update it if I get the screen fixed? If they are, I'm not fixing it.

    Accidental damage is not covered by the warranty. That includes damage due to dropping the iPod. However. sometime the Genius at the Apple store ill exchange it at no cost. Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store.
    Otherwise the exxcahnge price for the a 8 GB 4G is $99.
    However, first try restoring the iPod. Maybe it will rresolve the problem.

  • Will Apple Create Its Own Version Of 2-Step Verification For Apple Services?

    I create strong passwords which include numbers, upper and lower case letters, !? and other allowed symbols.  However, even with good passwords, key-logger programs and other methods can be used to hack accounts.
    Google has created the Google Authenticator App which is 2-step Verification.  It is very secure and makes external hacking as close to impossible as one can get.  I use it for my Google Products, including Gmail, Blogger, Google+ and so on.  It is an added step which can seem like a pain, but I really enjoy the sense of added security.
    Will Apple ever create its own version to help secure iCloud, Apple Mail, iTunes, so on?  I would really like to see this as an optional security feature.

    You can make feature enhancement requests directly to the Apple folks if you like. Here's a link to the iTunes product feedback form:

  • Will apple update iweb anytime soon or ever?

    i know apple hasn't updated iWeb for a verylong time. I haven't seen any rumors on if apple will ever update it. Does anyone know if iWeb is over???

    iWeb was only ever created in the first place to go with MobileMe to support web publishing, so when they decided to get rid of MobileMe and replace it with iCloud, there was no need to keep iWeb any longer, which is why they withdrew support for it and stopped selling iLife.
    Perhaps it is time to start finding out a litte about html.  All you do is click on the html snippet and drag and drop it onto your iWeb page and then copy and paste code there and click on Apply.  If you want to make good websites these days, then you need to know some html.
    If you have iWeb, you can continue to use it for as long as it works with the Mac OS's.

  • Will Apple update Apache / MySQL / PHP on Tiger 10.4.11

    Recently, a scan was made on the two xServes that I have, both running 10.4.11 with only the web services set up. They are running the default bare bones setup for Tiger Server 10.4.11.
    The scan showed issues with the current install of Apache and PHP. I have been told I need to update the serves to a more secure version of Apache, Mysql, and PHP.
    Does anyone know if Apple is going to issue an update for this? Is my only option to patch together a more recent version of Apache, Mysql, and PHP to patch this?
    Or is Apple's answer to my dilemma is to just upgrade to Leopard?
    Thanks for your comments.

    Your choices here fairly limited; there's the upgrade Leopard, loading (for instance) the [MAMP|http://mamp.info] kit or other such kit and shut down the integrated stuff within Mac OS X Server, or rolling your own Apache and related pieces. If these are Intel Xserve boxes, then you could tactfully and officially drag your heels for a couple of months and upgrade to Snow Leopard.

  • When will Apple update Safari to work with Yahoo! business mail?

    This doesn't seem right to have this issue with so many users and not have a fix.

    I disagree, there are a bunch of other posts with people having the same problem. And it only recently started after a Safari update. Those of us who have gone to Yahoo! about it get responses like this:
    "I understand you are not able to switch between your Yahoo and business
    email account.
    +"First I would like to confirm that you are using Safari to access your+
    +emails. The reason why you are having this problem is because of the+
    +recent updates that Apple has done on Safari. If you have noticed+
    +recently Safari got updated and the version updates from version 3.1 to+
    +3.2. Which has caused this issue.+
    +"We have a lot of our Customers who use there accounts through Safari and+
    +every one is having the same problem as you do. This is nothing to do+
    +with your account or with the Yahoo! Server as this is something related+
    +to Safari which needs to be looked into by Apple. Apple is already aware+
    +of this issue. As a work around until they resolve it, you can download+
    +Firefox on your computer and use your account through it. As with+
    +Firefox you will not have this problem and you will be able to switch+
    +between your accounts with no problem.+
    We would just like to be able to use Safari for our browsing. We shouldn't have to use Firefox...which by the way does do it, so I doubt it is a Yahoo! issue.

  • Will Apple update their MacBook Pro lineup at WWDC 2013?

    I am planning to buy a new Macbook Pro and I wondering whether Apple will update their lineup at the WWDC 2013? Will the new Macbooks have the new Haswell Processers?
    Also, I need to decide between the Macbook Pro 13 inch and 15 inch. Which one is better for running heavy apps like Photoshop/Lightroom/Aperture?

    No one knows when or if Apple is going to upgrade the MacBook Pro line this year.
    If you need a computer now, for heavy graphics use, you'd be best served with either the 15" Retina or non-Retina. My choice would be the non-Retina, since you can upgrade the RAM and hard drive, replacing it with either a larger capacity, faster drive and up to 16GB of RAM. The 15" models also have discrete graphics processors, available with up to 1GB of memory: thus they are better machines for heavy graphics use.
    Good luck,
    Clinton

  • Will Apple update Flash or is it up to user?

    I read that Adobe released an update of 10.1 to Flash.
    Despite the update not being useful to Safari users, it led me to this question:
    Does Apple include Flash updates in the *Software Update* system or is it up to the user to do it him or herself?
    Thanks.

    Hi
    In the past Apple has included Flash in its OS updates where warranted. For the most part, it's best to keep track of the Flash updates yourself. The 10.1 update works fine on Safari, however, Adobe chose to remove the hardware accelerator from the final version of 10.1 (it's in the beta version). Other than that, the plug-in seems more stable than earlier versions.
    If you install the latest version, make sure you "repair permissions" via Disk Utility in your Applications>Utilities folder before restarting Safari.

  • Will Apple update iPhone 3GS to allow music uploads to other devices?

    I have read that the iPhone 3GS can only receive music files from iTunes and is not capable of uploading that content to other devices.
    Most computers or integrated car stereo HDD's can receive uploads from other devices that use flash drives or USB cables, so why did Apple not add this feature? Does anyone know if they ever will add that feature?
    P.S. I'm not referring to transferring purchased music either, I am well aware of how to do that, I'm referring to transferring audio files from the iPhone 3GS to other devices via USB/Bluetooth/Apps or some equivalent...

    No one on these user forums can say what Apple will do.
    You can submit feedback to Apple: http://www.apple.com/feedback/iphone.html.
