AppleTV doesn't provide captioned under current OS/X - Tiger.. I wondered if Apple plan to have AppleTV to be able run with Captioned for Deaf/Hard-of-Hearing users under OS/X- Leopard... I would like to have one if it does..

The answer appears to be no. Apple TV uses QuickTIme to play videos, and QuickTime has very poor support for subtitles.
According to the Apple website about Leopard (see this page http://www.apple.com/macosx/leopard/features/accessibility.html ) Leopard will come with QuickTime 7.2 which happens to be also the current version for Tiger, in other words it will be same (i.e. equally useless).
There is a plugin for QuickTime called Perian which does a reasonably good job of adding subtitle support to QuickTime Player but this feature will not work for Apple TV or Front Row.
There is a program you can buy called SubMerge, which will burn subtitles in to the video image (so they can then never be turned off). Of course you also have to get hold of the subtitles.
Until (if) Apple dramatically improve the support for subtitles in QuickTime, things like Apple TV, iPhone, and Front Row will all be equally limited. Also there is no point Apple putting subtitles in videos on the iTunes Store since they cannot be played via QuickTime.
While it is not related to your question, QuickTime is equally pathetic at supporting surround sound, and multiple audio tracks (e.g. for different languages or directors commentary), again there is no point Apple providing this on the iTunes Store (for films) until QuickTime can support it.
VLC, and even gasp Windows Media Player (for Windows) can do all of this.

I'm not sure how things work over there, but I don't believe you will be able to set up a card that isn't in your name for Apple Pay. If your parents have provided you with a card linked to their account with YOUR name on it, then you should be able to set it up. If it isn't in your name, then you probably won't be able to do that.

Feature for people hard of hearing

Via the sky app and the wifi enabled sky box the audio of the program on could be streamed back to your device (phone, tablet etc). A person hard of hearing could then listen to the program using the earphones on the phone or tablet and adjust the volume accordingly. The other people in the room just listen at normal volume. I just want to be able to dicipher most of the calls I get - not the volume as I can adjust my phone. It is a constant problem and if any caller has an accent, regretably, forget it, can`t understand what they are saying

i find the ipads maximum volume slightly to low for my personal use i dont use it in public so i dont intend disturbing others but i would like to know if the volume on the i pad can be increased slightly for my personal enjoyment as at the moment i find it hard to hear films and music and i have no wish to use earphones as they cause me irritation the max setting on the ipad is just not quite enough

May I suggest that you use a good pair of earbuds instead of earphones.
Apply a very thin layer of almond oil for the skin to the earbuds before you insert them into your ears.

Movie captions for deaf and hard of hearing users

Hello. I'm a Deaf user of an iBook G4. Recently, Mac has released a new program that allows us to purchase movies or TV shows from itunes for $9.99. As a Deaf user, I found out that I coudn't watch the movies, they were not captioned. Is it that itunes simply forgot to add the caption function to the movies? It would be great if someone could tell me if anything is being done about this. I would love to be able to buy movies and watch them on the laptop.
another note: what about the ipod videos? As of now, there is not a function on the ipods that allow us to watch movies with captions. Some people might say that the words would be too small on the screen. But as a deaf user.. size does not matter.. and i'd love to have an ipod to watch movies since i don't listen to music that much and I currenly do not own an ipod.
any information about this would be really helpful. Maybe theres a solution I don't know about.

Of course we understand that are the studios provide the captions, but we are only secondary clients, and we need the pressure of the primary client that is Apple.
I think that we all be grateful if iTunes can make this negotiation for us.

I talked to an apple represenative today. They
said
the problem lies in the movies that they get from

movie makers do not come with the captions in the
movie. Is there a way to make sure that the movies
come with the captions in the moive? They do come
with them on DVDs that I get from the movie rental
store... I don't see why they can't come with
captions from the itunes store.
There is no techincal reason... The distributors
simply do not provide the information to apple. Your
beef is really with them. As far as I know none of
the movies afre in any way closed captioned. You
should probably be better off writing to the studios
about this.

IPhone 4S is broken and won't turn on, will I be able to pay for a replacement?

Here is the story, a few weeks ago I accidentally dropped my iPhone 4S which resulted in the back becoming cracked, which was not a problem.
As a result last night it was dropped again and now it won't turn on at all.
This similar situation happened about 5 months ago and it was replaced for free under warranty, so now I'm wondering if apple will replace it again but out of warranty? I realise this will come at a cost, so how much would it be?

I would assume that which country and if one paid for applecare would have an extreme impact on the price

I've used an LPS-4 for years now (& an LPS-3 prior to that) & I can categorically state with 100% confidence that NO current handsets will work with either of these phones!

If they are using the same apple ID, then you don't need to worry. You can install apps on as many devices you want.

It should be fine provided Netflix is available on AppleTV normally in Argentina - in the Settings menus there are a couple of location/country type settings - the unit has a universal power supply and apart from potentially a plug adapter for the power cord if needed it should work fine.
AppleTv's are not region locked at all, you should be able to get all services available on an AppleTV sold in Argentina on one sold in Spain provided you configure the location info correctly.

You will need to use your data or internet when you are out and about. You will have access to all your nusic in the cloud but you will need to pre-download music whilst you have an internet connection.

Yes, but all the data from your sisters PC will be erased and replaced with yours, which is probably what you want anyhow.
