Will automator work in Photoshop, and if so how?

Have just finally upgraded to 10.5 from 9.2.
Do a lot of work with photos which require a repetitive task ie change image size, change to cmyk etc. Used to have QuickKeys on 9.2 which did this automated job simply and easily. Have tried to see if automator, or the Photoshop automator section would do the same job, so far have been unable to sort it out. Has anyone any suggestions.
Can't understand why Apple didn't incorporate QuickKeys in System 10. Was a fantastic little program.

Pages is for word processing, not image editing.

If you have the CC, you may try to restart the Creative Cloud application by quitting and relaunching it.

How did you buy iPhoto? Did it come preinstalled on your computer with Lion or later, or did it come with Snowleopard on system installer disks?
Which version of iPhoto?
If you have a version of iPhoto '11 and it is showing on the Purchased tab of the App Store, with your Apple ID, then delete iPhoto from the Applications folder (don't empty the Trash) and download iPhoto again from the Purchased tab.
If that does not work, contact The App Store Support from the Quick Links on the AppStore main page.
Only apple Support can fix problems with apple ID.

there were two different 23-inch Apple Cinema HD displays made. The first one was made between 2002 and 2004, and has an ADC connector. The second one was made between 2004 and 2008, and has a DVI-D connector.
If you have the display with an ADC connector, then according to this Apple page, your display will work with your MacBook Pro if it’s a 13-inch or 15-inch model. If you have a first-generation MacBook Pro, you’d need an Apple DVI to ADC Adapter (or equivalent) to connect them. If you have a Unibody or Retina MacBook Pro, then you’d also need a Mini DisplayPort to DVI adapter (or equivalent) to complete the connection. A Retina model would also have the option of using a third-party HDMI to DVI-D adapter to complete the connection with the DVI to ADC adapter.
If you have the display with a DVI-D connector, then if you have a first-generation MacBook Pro, you should be able to plug it in directly. If you have a Unibody or Retina MacBook Pro, then the Mini DisplayPort to DVI adapter would let you make the connection. Will Applescript work with Photoshop CC2014?

I am trying to write an applescript that will take the FileInfo>keywords and append it to the FileInfo>description but I'm not having any luck. Has anyone been able to do something similar?

It should work on a Mac. You may want to search the Photoshop Scripting forum. Though most use javascript to support Mac and PC.
Here is a simple javascript wrote to save and restore the foreground and background color swatches to be user in actions so the action could mess with the color and restore the user colors. The document metadata field instructions is used as as scratch pad. You should be able to see how mete data is addressed in javascript

Tried downloading itunes version 11.4 and received an error code 2324. Now itunes will not work at all and I cannot sync my phone, ipad or ipod. How should I proceed?

I have tried several times to load version 11.4 and keep getting an error code2324, now I cannot sync any of my apple products. I set my machine to a previous recover date, now iTunes will not work at all. I get a message stating I do not have the administrator rights to download. Any thoughts on this issue?

The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.

Back to my Mac - will it work between iCloud and MobileMe?

Just updated my MBookPro to Lion so it would work with iCloud and my new 4S. Everything moved over OK but there's one thing I'm concerned about: will Back to My Mac work now between machines that are not part of the iCloud account? I ask this because my Mac Pro at the office is still on Snow Leopard (and may remain that way, since I use it for editing+graphics and prefer to keep it clean and stable) and I use BtMM all the time to look at the MacPro while I'm at home. I took the precaution of logging out of MobileMe on the MacPro before I moved the account to iCloud on my laptop so there wouldn't be any weirdness. I imagine that if I went and logged in on it now I would no longer have the option of using BtMM on the same Apple ID anymore, yes? I have another Apple ID that's still under MobileMe, so I wonder if I could start using that one now on both machines under the old MobileMe system pref and link the two machines back together?

UPDATE: forget about signing in with a different MobileMe account once you've signed in to iCloud; even though both prefs exist, Lion will NOT let you sign in to both iCloud and MobileMe at the same time, even if they're different accounts.

ITunes will quit working mid-song and will skip around entire library.

In the most recent iTunes version running on windows 7, iTunes will not play through an entire song and skips around the entire library of music. Sometimes only the first few seconds of a song will play, and sometimes a little over a minute will play before it starts skipping around. iTunes has been uninstalled and reinstalled, and all the drivers have been uninstalled and reinstalled, and the computer is fully updated. This issue doesn't happen consistently or for any particular songs, and is very frustrating because it seems so random. All the music files used to work just fine, and no settings have been changed since it worked. Any ideas or help would be much appreciated!

The simplest way to remove the song is to remove it from the Up Next list.
Click on the Up Next icon and when you hover the cursor over the song, you will see an X appear to the left of the song. Click on the X to remove it.

I really appreciate all your help. Today I spent some time on the problem. First I purchased any video converter from the ap store and then I connected the camera to the mac with the original usb cable that came with the camera. I turned on the camera and selected backup on pc and the logo came up on my home page. I opened it and after several attempts i found the 3 video files that were on the camera. I then converted them from a tod file to mp4 and then transfered them to imovie. Now I have to figure out how to send the video to youtube or move it to an external hard drive which I have not been able to do. So far I am not too fond of imovie 11. If you could send me the download for imovie 6 I then could try that route. When talking to apple support yesterday about the problem they suggested to get Final Cut Express. That's correct. I don;t believe you need a compression program to do what you want. I had to look up the export options for the new iMovie because my versions are older. There is a File choice in the Share menu which gives you a custom settings option. From that a you can adjust the bitrate to your requirements for the Web. For example, a preset that I use often is 720p # 8 bits per second.
