Will C6 Extended run on Win XP?

Hi, I am thinking of purchasing Adobe Photoshop C6 EXTENDED. However, I have an older computer running Windows XP, with an older graphics card (Nvidia 7600 GS). Will the program run on my machine? Especially its 3-D capability?
Thank you for the help.

It will run, but none of the GPU features (including 3D) will work…
Is there a listing or description of what all those "GPU features" are? It would be of great interest to all of us who are stuck—temporarily or permanently—on such unsupported systems, regardless of platform.

  • Will PSE 5 run under Win 7 64-bit?

Running Windows 7 64-bit on notebook would like to run Photoshop Elements there I have it running on desktop computer under Windows XP.  Will PSE 5 run on the notebook?

I just noticed that my reply to you was in reply to your answer to a question I posted Dec 3, 2013.
I thought your repley was to a similar question I posted this week. Since my notebook had a short life the same question has come-up again.
Today I decided to upgrade PSE 5 installed on a Dell, Latitude E6400 notebook running Windows 7 32-bit.  I am waiting for approval to download PSE 13.    I wonder if  this upgarde will work.     When I start PSE 5 the Welcome screen appears but when I click Organize the Organizer doesn't load.  I can enter the Editer. I printed SysInfo and noticed it thinks the OS is Vista not Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bit which is what I'm running.
    What do think?
I also have a desktop computer on which I would like to run PSE.  It has a 64-bit CPU, and Win 7 Home Premium installed.  When I Start PSE 5 the Welcome screen appears, but that is as far as I can go. Neither the Organizer nor Editer will load. I thought I might run PSE 5 inside a Win XP  virtual environment.
What do you think I sould?

  • Program runs in win 7-64 Pro BUT will not run in win 7 home or vista.

Program runs in win 7-64 Pro BUT will not run in win 7 home or vista.
I'm testing 32bit software that will run in 7-64 Pro but will not in win 7 home premium or vista.
The 7-64 Pro machine is NOT running the program in XP mode although is is being run as admin. The 7 home premium and vista beta testers have tried every work around/mode, admin mode, and anti-virus exception. I've run process explorer & WinMerge to evaluate
the differences between os operations & dlls loaded but am unable to find the OS issue.
Currently 2-win7-64 machines, 1 vista machine and 1 win 7 machine had no issues with the program as it started up and ran immediately.
After 3 beta's 30 hours of testing & 50 of my own, I believe I've narrowed the issue down to the win 7 home premium and vista os's.
Can anyone here suggest other ways to further narrow it down so as to provide functionality on all 3 os's?

You must provide the exact name and version of the software for anyone to attempt to answer your question.  Primarily the functionality of any software is entirely dependent on what platforms the publisher intended the software to run on.

  • Will my MS Surface Pro Win 8.1. 64-bit run my LaserJet 3310. Where to find drivers? Thanks.

Will my MS Surface Pro Win 8.1. 64-bit run my LaserJet 3310. Where to find drivers? Thanks. Perhaps, are drivers built into 8.1 as they are for Win7?

The Laserjet 3300 Windows 8.1 x64 drivers are supplied through Windows Update as for Windows 7.

  • Hey, I have a AirPort Express Base Station ( 2nd Generation ), and I wanted to ask that if I join my network at home with the Express Station, will it still run the 2.5 GHz and the 5.0 GHz?

Okay, well I have just bought a AirPort Express Base Station ( 2nd Generation ) and I'm new to it, but I wanted to ask that if it join's a network you have setup at home, will it still run with the 2.4 GHz and the 5.0 GHz.

The AirPort Express will "extend" both the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz networks and provide more wireless signal coverage when it is connected to another Apple AirPort router and configured correctly.
The AirPort Express cannot provide more wireless coverage though, if you are trying to connect it to another 3rd party wireless router using wireless only.
It should be possible to set up the Express to provide more signal coverage if you connect it back to the main router using a wired Ethernet connection or using Ethernet powerline adapters.

  • The iCloud Control Panel will not intall on my WIN 7 32-bit PC

the iCloud Control Panel will not install on my WIN 7 32-bit PC. I receive the error message,
"There is a problem with this Windows installer package. A program run as part of the install did not finish as expected. Contact your local support personnel or package vendor."
When the panel finished being "backed off" my PC, I also received the following message,
    "iCloud for Windows Installer Error.
The installer encountered errors before iCloud for Windows could be configured.
Your system has not been modified. To retry these operations at a later time, please run the installer again.
Click FINISH to exit the installer."
Each time I tried to download and install the Control Panel, these messages would appear.
The Genius Bar was unable to help me and referred me to the ICloud Support Line. They were unable to help me.
I refuse to believe that Apple is unable to solve this issue with their own software, but if there is anyone in this august community that can help me, I would be forever grateful,
    Thank you.

I'm having the exact same problem, and the exact same error messages.  I have windows 8.1 64-bit.  I've tried looking for solutions everywhere.  I'm very frustrated.

  • Running any wine application instantly crashes entire X server

I'm not really sure how to debug this issue. Suddenly, without performing any pacman update or other major changes, running any wine application (even winecfg) crashes X.
Looking at strace, it appears to be a GPU related issue, and temporarily removing lib32/libXxf86vm (the last module loaded according to strace) fixes the issue. However it breaks the 3d application I want to use under Wine.
On the other hand, glxgears for example works perfectly.

    Still doesn't work
I should add that wine works correctly under the same X environment (well, same configs but not same Xorg.conf) running through 'vncserver' - it's just the GPU-accelerated environment started via 'startx' that I'm having trouble with

  • Program runs on Win 7 but not 8.1

I've raised this issue twice in the last 2 - 3 weeks without a solution. I'm developing a desktop application using VS 2013, MFC & native C/C++. I can build a simple skeleton program with just the xxxApp, MainFrame and ChildView that runs just
fine on W7 & 8.1.  This is an X86 application using the Static MFC library.
But when I build the application, it will not run on W 8.1 though it runs just fine on W7. I've run Code Analysis and fixed all reported problems.  The application will not even start on W 8.1.
    I need help or guidance.

This problem is still not solved.
When running on WIN 7 under VS2013 debugger, I see an Access Violation Error "First-chance exception at 0x00C11638
in BmateSatCMMS.exe: 0xC0000005: Access violation reading location 0xBAADF079" I CMainFrame when (if (!m_wndView.Create ... os executed.  When running on WIN 8.2, only the Windows Explored flashes when starting the program.

How about if you add some crash dump code in your app to know the exact reason of your issue and then use some dump utility for example windlg etc to analyze it.

  • Hi there, I have installed iTune on my new Toshiba laptop which runs on Win 8.  I can update itune on Toshiba laptop, sync but the iphone Apps still showing app to be updated.  Restarted both Itune

Hi there, I have installed iTune on my new Toshiba laptop which runs on Win 8.  I can update itune on Toshiba laptop, sync but the iphone Apps still showing app to be updated.  Restarted both Itune and iphone....reset phone backup....to no avail.....HELP!

I have removed now all bloatware from laptop, CCleaner run and some more stuff: installed Libre Office, Free Avast, Mozilla Firefox - Spotify was preinstalled. And now this is even better - really simple and fast.
I also removed Ethernet completely, as I don't want to be locked at one place. It's not cool to use laptop on divan sofa. So tired after hour of sitting in uncool position. Wifi speed loss is almost 50%. 95 Mbps I get from 100 Mbps at Ethernet and on Wifi in laptop I get at max 50 Mbps. It's only for end this year this way, then I will slow down my connection anyway as for one person and laptop/smartphone it's way too much of speed for 40 €. With 27€ I can get the same 10M/10M and it will be more than enough. Now I have 100M/10M.
I'm also considering about 50M/10M option for 32.90 €, but I will see what I do. I download now test file 10GB and it loads 30-40 Mbps and sometimes even as fast as 50 Mbps. It depends on server also, but ebven on Google, which works on Ethernet at 95 Mbps, it is on Wifi nothing more than 51 Mbps.
It's also 10GB of 1,100 Offlined tracks, I tested it now. So on trips 32GB card should be enough for my phone. I'm going to one soon :)

Any help is greatly appreciated, I have tried couple of solutions going through some threads online but no use and place dt tell install 1og r 11g 64-bit

    Hi,
Based on the error message, we should confirm whether Oracle client tool has been installed on the Report Server at the beginning. If the Report Server installed is 64-bit, we should also install a 64-bit Oracle client tool on the Report Server. Besides, we
can also try to bypass tnsnames.ora file when connecting to Oracle by specifying all the information in the data source instead of using the TNS alias to connect
to the Oracle database. Please see the sample below:
    Data Source=(DESCRIPTION=(CID=GTU_APP)(ADDRESS_LIST=(ADDRESS=(PROTOCOL=TCP)(HOST= server01.mydomain.com)(PORT=1521)))(CONNECT_DATA=(SID=OracleDB)(SERVER=DEDICATED)));

    Hope this helps.

  • Will LV (32bit) run on a win7 64 box in compatability mode?

Being told by IT that my days of support Win XP are soon to disappear.  Being that all my apps spread over the place have been written on an XP system (thus a 32 bit system) I am trying to get a new computer that has a 64 bit system (to better support the heavy cad work and such) but still allows me to work LV in a 32 bit environment.
Have read that running an XP mode virtual machine on win 7 (64 bit) works but IT says this won't be an option once support for XP goes away.
Wanted to see what solutions other people had come up with for this type of situation.  Anyone know if it is possible to run a win 7 32 bit virtual machine on a win 7 64 bit system?  And would that allow LV to be developed in a 32 bit environment?
Switching everything over to 64 bit is not really an option.  Many hardware drivers I use do not have 64 bit versions.
    Thanks for any thoughts

The information was correct, sort of! If you install LabVIEW for Windows 64 Bit, and then build an application, the resulting executable will be a 64 bit executable and therefore only work on 64 bit Windows systems.
However installing LabVIEW for Windows 32 Bit on Windows 64 bit is no problem at all and the resulting executable is a 32 bit executable that will install both onto Windows 32 Bit and Windows 64 Bit machines just fine (ignoring for a moment possible issues about hardware drivers that also need to be available for both platforms of course).

  • When will Creative have drivers for Win 7 64 bit

I just bought a X-fi notebook express-card, and I'm not very impressed with this card, I'm running Win 7 64 bit, so the Drivers CD was a wash, also, I have no way to control any of the functions, like Conrtol-panel, EQ and console, they don't work and are non-fucntional in Win 7 64 bit, and that Beta-driver that's offered on the download page is worthless it also has NO fuctionality, so Creative? Win 7 64 bit has been out for a yr. and a half now, WHEN are you gonna get some decent updated drivers for the X-fi notebook card, when i installed what you did have, I just wanted to CRY, such a shame, and this is a nice xpress-card, but, ya know don't you think it's kinda WORTHLESS without the Win 7 64 bit support.....: I mean come on creative, how can you sell something like this, WITHOUT any supported drivers, most PCs and laptops now run on Win 7 64 bit, haven't you even noticed this yet.......you should be ashamed of yourselves..........

Don't buy this Echo Indigo IOx ExpressCard for Notebook Computers if you are using Windows 7 64 bit I'm returning this card and I just got it today, my X-fi notebook express card sounds louder than this thing, and has "what U Hear" the Echo IOx card does not have the "What U Hear" in any of thier cards, so, I'm back with the Creative X-fi notebook, I got it to work by NOT using the windows driver dated 12/13/2009 this windows driver is broken, and will cause your X-fi notebook card not to work well ,so DON'T use that driver, I'm using this one Microsoft dated 7/13/2009, 61.7600.16385 , EQ fuction in the control-console is still broken in win 7 64 bit and I'm looking foward along with the Creative team for better driver support for Windows 7 64 bit, as I'm sure they are in-the-works, so, I'M BACK, and my X-fi notebook sounds Great , I'm glad I got my X-fi notebbok express card to work, somewhat, it's not the perfect fix, but it's doable at least for now

  • Airport Express (2nd) will not extend existing Wi-Fi network

I am currently trying to extend my home Wi-Fi network (Virgin Super Hub 2) using an Airport Express (2nd generation). It will run on my up-to-date Mac or iOS devices.
I am not able to get the Express to extend the network no matter what I do. I have had this problem really since I had it just under 3 years ago, but only now I really need it to work.
When configuring the Express to extend the network it will either:
    1. Stay continually flashing orange after applying update, then say unexpected error.
    2. Or just go straight to unexpected error

An AEX will only extend a wireless network created by an Apple Airport Extreme Base Station. If will not extend a non-Apple router unless you run an Ethernet cable from the router to a location from which the AEX can create a new Wi-Fi network that covers the remote location. The AEX is configured to Join the existing network - bridge mode.

  • Beersmith crashing running from wine.

I have an arch64 install and i'm running bin32-wine from the AUR. I'm trying to run beersmith(a homebrewing applicaiton). The install works fine, I've even installed ie4linux like the beersmith documentation says to do if you want to run it under linux. When I do "wine BeerSmith.exe", it starts up fine with a normal dialog box about running a trial version or entering a product key. I have gotten beersmith to work fine on non-64 bit distros.
Problem is, when you click OK it will crash immediately when the next dialog appears. Here is the screenshot of what happens, and from the terminal on the crash.
