Will cd automatically store in Itunes/macmini?

will cd automatically store in iTunes on the usb burner?

What do you mean?
I tunes will inmport CD music into your iTunes library
Yu can also burn music CDs
Disc burning overview
You can use iTunes to create your own CDs and DVDs with audio and video from your iTunes library.
Important:  You can’t burn movies and TV shows purchased from the iTunes Store to a DVD or VCD that plays in a DVD player or to a Video CD.
What do you need to burn discs?
A computer with an internal disc drive that can burn discs. Some external drives might also work. (To see if your drive is compatible, choose Edit > Preferences, click Advanced, and click Burning. If your drive is listed, it’s compatible.)
An iTunes playlist containing the music and video you want on the disc. If your playlist contains iTunes Store purchases, you can burn it to a disc as many times as you want as long as all the items are iTunes Plus songs. If some items aren't iTunes Plus songs, you can burn the playlist up to seven times.
A blank disc. Some older CD players won’t play CD-RW discs (but they will play CD-R discs). You can use DVDs with your computer, but most DVD players can’t read data DVD discs. (“RW” stands for “read-write” and means the disc can be erased and reused.)
How many files can you burn on a disc? The number of songs a disc can hold depends on the format of the song files and the capacity of the disc. You can fit about 74 minutes of music on a 650 MB audio CD, or about 150 MP3 files on the same size disc. Some CDs can contain 700 MB of music. A DVD can hold 4.7 gigabytes (GB), almost five times as many songs as a CD.What type of disc should you use?
To make audio CDs that work in most stereo systems, use CD-R discs. CD-RW discs usually work only in computers.
To make a CD of MP3 files to play in your computer or an MP3 CD player, use a CD-R disc; some MP3 players can play CD-RW discs as well.
If your computer has a DVD burner, you can burn a playlist on a DVD-R or DVD-RW disc. DVDs you create using iTunes work only in your computer (not DVD players).

  • If i put music on my external hard drive will it sync to my iTunes?, if i put music on my external hard drive will it sync to my iTunes?

I have set a brand new external harddrive as the location of my Itunes Music folder. Im trying to transfer my music from an old external hard drive. If i drag n drop from one external to the other will it automatically sync to itunes? or do i have to drag n drop into itunes to sync the two folders?

Our iTunes guru Terence Devlin advises the following:
    1. Quit iTunes
    2. Drag the iTunes folder from your internal hd - located in ~/Music folder - to your external hd. DO NOT delete the original one from your internal hd... yet!
    3. When the transfer is complete, press and hold the Option(alt) key and fire up iTunes.
    4. A "Choose iTunes Library" window will come up. Click on the "Choose Library" button.
    5. Navigate to where the iTunes folder is located in the external hd.
    6. Within the iTunes folder, select the iTunes Library file and click Choose...
That's it. iTunes will now display all your playlists, songs, movies, podcasts etc. At this point, should you wish, you can delete the iTunes folder from the internal hd to free up space.

You have to connect the iPod to the PC and sync it to get the songs in the device. You will only get your music in your iPod automatically if you have purchased your songs in the iTunes Store and Automatic Downloads are enabled in your iPod

  • How to stop automatic connection to itune store when opening itunes?

when ever i try to open i tunes without internet connection,a warning diallog box appears saying that  'itunes cannot connect to itunes store.check internet connection'.ive tried disabling store, podcasts and everythng in itune preferences but still doesnt make any change..please help me out..please..:(

There is no issue here. If you have no Internet connection, it's impossible to access the store, therefore iTunes will alert you with this message so you don't get confused. You can use all the other offline features on iTunes, so you shouldn't be going through so much trouble to solve something which isn't a problem. There is no way to stop iTunes automatically attempting to access the store when you open iTunes, so you'll have to deal that message. If I'm not getting the issue, please tell me.

As I mentioned above, I am not very tech savvy so I have no idea why a wireless protocol would be showing up there, I'm just listing everything I see in hopes that someone might know something I can try. This is why I am asking for help here - I'm not sure what has happened that has made me unable to connect, especially since it seemingly occured while nobody was using the computer.
I guess I should clarify that I'm not a total hillbilly- normally my firewall is set to 'on', but I set it to 'off' to try and troubleshoot the issues here as I was told that sometimes it can interfere with the computer's ability to connect to the internet. If this is not the case and firewall does not affect anything, I will turn it back on while I try to fix this.
I have tried the method you mentioned above a few times - I actually contacted my ISP earlier this week and they recommended resetting the router like that. They didn't mention any known network issues.

    Hi Lrwill,
If the apps that are on your son's iPad were purchased under his Dad's Apple ID, then signing your Apple ID onto the iPad will not help you with updating those apps.
Also, if the iPad was sync'd with his Dad's iTunes library, then hooking it up to your computer/iTunes library, will require you to reset the iPad, and everything that was loaded under the other Library and Apple ID will be wiped out.
Can you provide a little more info about what was set up under which Apple ID and what iTunes library the iPad was sync'd with?
    Cheers,

Typically, the download speeds up. You can try when connected to another network

  • ITunes recognizes my iPhone, but will not connect to the iTunes Store

After having to re-install all the software on my computer, iTunes will recognize my iPhone 4 okay, but will not log into the iTunes Store using a valid user name and password.  I can still log in to the iTunes store on my iPhone, but just not on my computer. I get an error message that says, "We could not complete your iTunes Store request. An unknown error occurred (-50). There was an error in the iTunes Store. Please try again later."  I also conducted the "Run Diagnostics" test for network connectivity tests, device connectivity tests, and device sync tests.  All three tests passed with green lights.  However, I still get the following error message "One moment please, Connecting to the iTunes Store, Loading..." when I highlight the iTunes Store and attempt to log in with no success.  I also disabled the Windows 7 firewall as I did get a previous error message that said iTunes was not enabled in the Windows firewall.  I have my computer configured the same exact way I did before having to reinstall all my programs, and iTunes worked fine.  I've included some of the comments from the diagnostics below...
Thanks for any advice you can provide.

  • Is there any way to get rid of this stupid feature in iTunes for Windows? You've subscribed to a podcast but have more than five unplayed episodes. iTunes will stop automatically downloading newer episodes.

s there any way to get rid of this stupid feature in iTunes for Windows?
You've subscribed to a podcast but have more than five unplayed episodes. iTunes will stop automatically downloading newer episodes. You may get the following message:
iTunes has stopped updating this podcast because you have not listened to any episodes recently. Would you like to resume updating this podcast?
You can click Yes to continue downloading additional episodes. Or you can just listen to any part of any episode and a new episode will download at the next update.

I believe that feature was added in order to reduce wasted costs to the Podcaster.
Podcasts incur costs - that have to be paid for, by someone. That cost will be the cost of hosting the Podcast on a server somewhere and more crucially (with regard to your point), the cost of the Podcast being downloaded to your computer. Every download costs the Podcaster money (typically, charged by bytes downloaded).
If that Podcaster pays for the whole thing personally, obviously they want to keep down any unnecessary cost to themselves. If the Podcaster is earning money for his or her Podcast (typically from advertising within the programme) then obviously, the advertiser only wants to pay for advertisements heard by listeners. So a download, not heard by the downloader, is waste of the Podcaster's money or no payment from the advertiser.
My own experience is that I only have to resume downloading once per programme. I'm usually several episodes behind on two different Podcasts that I follow, but I do not recall having to repeat the resume Podcast after that first time.

When I go to the iTunes Store in my iTunes app on my MacBook Pro it will not display anything in the store.  The store says it loads, but the display area is just blank (white) after it loads.  iTunes will display all my other stuff ok.  I have Yosemite and the latest update of iTunes on the Mac.  Any ideas??
