Will CF run on x64 intel/windows?

I already read through the system requirements. What is
unclear to me is if the ColdFusion runs on a x64
intel/windows.

by Windows users) that if you change IIS to run as a 32 bit
version that it
technically should work ... however I tried this many times
with our Win2003 Server 64 bit and it does not. There is a location
somewhere on the Adobe CF site that also states it will not work,
but not anywhere someone would actually look (
like the actual requirements page)
You can still install a 32 bit version of the OS on the 64
bit architecture if you want to use CF, but unfortunately it will
lose the advantages of having 64 bit server hardware.
Adobe/MM is losing a large number of customers because they
are not addressing this anywhere in this version of CF. Pretty much
every server sold today is a 64 bit architecture w/ 64 bit OS
machine, and of course, nobody can use CF on them.
Supposedly they are making 64 bit compliance in the next
version, but who knows how long that will be from market.

Itunes will not run after update. Windows 8.1

I have windows 8.1 and just downloaded the latest update. The icon has disappeared from the desktop and the program will not run. Can I uninstall and reinstall without losing my library? Please help. Can't live without my music!!

For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down page in case one of them applies.

Dreamweaver (part of CS6) will not run on 64 bit Windows 8 PC

This package ran okay on my Windows 7 64 bit PC. I upgraded the Windows 7 PC to 64 bit Windows 8. Reinstalled all software including CS6. Dreamweaver will not start and comes up with a Error 7b. I have updated all the drivers including the graphics card. It seems that all CS6 programs that load up in a 32 bit mode are suspect in Windows 8. I have downloaded and updated all Adobe programs but still a problem. Looking for ideas as Adobe help is only Monday to Friday.

When you upgraded Win7 to Win8, was that process itself a clean install - meaning did you reformat the hard drive (or use a separate hard drive) thereby installing a fresh copy of Win 8?
I recently upgraded to Win 8 64bit as well, and from Win7 64bit, but I didn't want to run the risk of loosing access to any of my Win7 Apps or files should I find Win8 unbearable, so I ran the upgrade on a separate hard drive, which gave me the option to boot into either 7 or 8. Actually, Vista is on a third drive, left over from my Win7 upgrade in 2009. ;-)
I'm about 3 weeks in, and so far I have had no problems at all with any CS6 app on Windows 8. 8 seems faster, more responsive, but that could be because it's a new installation.

Google chrome will not run Adobe flash in windows 8 mode now, why?

I have the same problem. I was using Google Chrome without any problems until two days ago, when suddenly a bar started popping up accross the top of the page saying "Adobe Flash Player only works on the desktop" and give me the options "Relaunch Chrome" or "Don't ask again." It can be very frustrating to have to relaunch chrome, especially if you're in the middle of streaming, or downloading, or halfway through something extremely long (and usually boring in my line of work) and it starts you back at the beginning because you have to relaunch. Is there anyway to make Adobe work in the Windows 8 mode again and not just on the desktop? I have Adobe Flash Player version 11,8,800,97 and Google Chrome version 29.0.1547.66 m. Thanks.

Firefox will not run on Windows 8.1

I have 3 pcs running 8.1 update 1. all run the same AV software ( Emsisoft). All are identical. However one machine will not run FF27-29. Windows tells me that " this app can't run on your PC". I have uninstalled and reinstalled using the stub and also by downloading a complete installer. Neither have helped.
Any thoughts?

I installed Norton Antivirus that I received from school but when my computer starts it errors and says it will not run on an Intel Mac. How do I uninstall. I took the program and dragged it to trash but it still has a startup item.

I tunes still will not run on XP

I have tried all the tricks listed and still I-tunes will not run on relatively new windows XP, Dell machine (also newly purchased I-pod), - I have disabled virus protection, I have loaded most recent versions of i-tunes, I have cleared temp files and reloaded. I tried loading Q-time player as a stand alone. I deleted old folders of I-tunes and Q-time and reloaded. I-tunes down-loads without any error message, I-pod connects to USB and charges - and shows up as an "E" drive. But clicking on i-tunes icon, or loading audio disk or connecting I-pod all fail to visably launch i-tunes (nothing is seen in task manager after attempting to launch I-tunes - but on shut down of the computer I get the message that I-tunes is not responding and must be shut down manually). Already 10 hours spent on this

Technically yes. You need at least a Core 2 Duo. It might be a bit sluggish though, due to the pretty small system resources you have there.

Here is more information if needed on Lenovo G560 and its slots for memory modules

Based on that information, you have 2 slots. Each slot can contain only one memory mode and that memory mode can be of the type 1 GB, 2 GB OR 4 GB. Since you say that you now have 3 GB, I am guessing that you have a 2 GB memory module in one slot and a 1 GB memory module in the other.
So, if you buy a 4 GB memory module, you will need to remove the memory module already in one of the slots...to give you 6 GB installed... use the 2 GB module that you have in one and the new 4 GB module. The 1 GB memory module is removed.
Better, yet consider buying two 4 GB memory modules and inserting one into one slot and the other in the other slot.

The version I'm trying to run the machine off on is Windows 8.1 x64 / Other Windows x64.
I gave it 4096MB of RAM, with 256MB of VRAM allocated to it. 3D Acceleration is also enabled. I'm not too sure if this is an Oracle VM problem, or an ISO problem. Any suggestions?

After some further research, I found that I need to enable virtualization and hyperthreading. I downloaded Speccy and determined that my PC is capable of virtualization, and it was already enabled; however, hyperthreading is not supported. I have been hearing

I had an Acer Aspire laptop running Win 7 Home Premium SP1 64-bit. I dual booted with Win 10 TP. That's starting from build 9841 to 9926. I dual booted twice and I had no problem doing it.
