Will closing an app with background refresh on continue to update even though it's killed?
With background app refresh on for gps apps, do they continue to draw power and location and track even if i close the App?

Backround refresh will not draw extra power for a GPS app if you close it and kill it in multi task.

Can I share apps with another user account on our mac even though its a different apple ID?
Husband and I have just bought a new Mac to share, but we've both got iphones and itunes of our own. I thought the best way to deal with this would be to have a user account each on the new Mac with our own iTunes, but this obviously means that each user account has a different apple ID associated with it. I've just bought Pages, Numbers and Keynote on my user account, is it going to be possible to share these apps with my husbands user account.
I've got a harrible feeling that I should have created a joint user account and apple ID, and I've just wasted the best part of £40...please tell me theres a way to fix this!!

You can, but you will have to update the applications from the user account with the Apple ID you used to purchase those apps. There isn't any other problem, but it may be illegal (but I think it's legal if you run them on the same Mac) -
Apps store icon no longer available, book shelf will no longer access the store, and my mac pro will not sinc apps with my iPad. What's up?? How do I correct? This is after upgrading to iOS6 and Mountain Lion.

Applecare Senior Advisor Txx Bxxx (I have his contact info in an email he just sent) just confirmed with me that the problem people are having with the App Store not loading is an apple issue with there servers, ITS NOT YOUR IPAD so don't go restoring it! It's not happening to everyone however but they are looking into it, its really hit or miss.

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
This works for some users. Not sure why.
Go to Settings>General>Date and Time> Set Automatically>Off. Set the date ahead by about a year.Then see if you can connect to the store.

How can I completely delete an app, so it won't even be listed in the app store under purchased items? And I will stop being prompted to make updates even though I've removed it from my iPad?
Once an app is deleted from an iOs device, you will no longer be prompted for updates. Update alerts only occur for apps curently installed.
Purchases can be hidden (but not completely deleted) from the purchased list, but only using itunes on a computer. -
How can I get past "close IE" to continue the install even though IE is closed?
I keep trying to install flash for win7 pro 64 bit and it stops half way through and even though I've closed IE, it will not get past 50%. The other thing that concerns me is that flash 32 bit is installed but I can't uninstall it even using adobe's uninstall. I get the same error message that I have to close IE even though it is not open. I've been through all of the troubleshooting steps. I have adobe in my accepted list with https:
Anyone know the answer to this? I can't watch anything online without it. If not, can someone tell me how to contact adobe for this problem because I have no other options.Here's the log. Thanks again.

When I try to install Lion it tell's me "You can't use this version of the application install mac os x Lion with this version of Mac os X" even though I have the latest update 10.5.8 of Mac os X?

You can't install Lion over Leopard. To install Lion, a requirement is Snow Leopard. So you can either upgrade to Snow Leopard first or you can make a bootable Lion install disc and use that to wipe your hard drive and install a fresh copy of Lion.
So to make a disk would require you to purchase Snow Leopard and upgrade to 10.6.8 so you can use the App Store, unless you have access to another computer to download it from with your Apple ID. Remember it is about a 3.4GB download.

everytime I try to install a new app, my old email address still comes up even though I changed it on appleid and Icloud....what am I doing wrong?
Settings>iTunes/App Store...tap the ID shown...sign out...now, sign back in with your new ID.

In the middle of an update, it call closed. Itunes keeps saying that it's not installed, even though ive tried reinstalling multiple times. All my iphone is doing it showing the ituns symbol and a charger. How can I fix this???

If I understand your question, you are trying to update your iPhone, but you are seeing an error message that iTunes for Windows is not installed, is that right? The first step is to get iTunes successfully installed on your computer. Then backup the iPhone before updating the iOS software.

I want to print iCal with Mondays in the left hand side column. My calendar prints with Tuesday in the left hand column even though it displays Mondays in the left hand column when in normal use.

In addition to my home page, every time I start Firefox a tab opens with notification of an updated addon. Why does this tab continue to appear even though there is no updated version of the addon?

The app-store locks to one of several users even though app to be updated is a system app avalable to all users. That is to say that the signin user name text box is auto entrered and grayed so it can't be changed. I assume that the last user to update it is the user that is entered automaticly. How do you unlock it and prevent it from happening again?

Whenever I open Firefox, it starts up with my tabs from my last session even though I have "Show my homepage" selected in my options for when Firefox starts.
I first thought that i had the show my homepage option selected but when i checked it had changed. Here is how to change it back....
1. Go to FIREFOX
2. Select OPTIONS under the OPTIONS tab
3. Under general make sure you have the 'When firefox stats: show my homepage'
selected
Then restat firefox -

Is your payment information current for your Apple ID? Even though updates are free, your account may not allow updates if it has an issue like an expired credit card, or an updated password that you have not yet entered into the device's iTunes Store account settings.

When I down load an app it is asking for a billing address even though the app is free after I enter the required details it does accept the post code
Try to set it up as new device, explained here:

Start without using the backup after the restore process, to rule out a software problem.
