Will CS4 install on laptop with 1.8ghz processor

I have a HP Pavilion laptop with the AMD Turion 64 x2 processor 1.8 ghz and 2 gb of ram. I am running windows vista home premium. Does anyone know if this will run the CS4 premium suite. I will be upgrading to that in the next couple of months at work and I also install on my laptop at home so I can practice and learn stuff I do not have time for at work. CS2 runs with no problem. The main programs I would be installing are Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign, bridge and the new version of Acrobat. I might try flash too since I have never used it so I can learn it.
Thanks for any help you can provide

it should but you can be the judge of that, just download the trial and see for yourself

I have a 2008 vintage iMac with 2.8GHz processor and recently upgraded to  OS X 10.9.5.  Soon after theupgrade the mail system started switching the senders address to another address, but same user name.  How do you fix this?

Thanks for the reply,.  I went to the site provided and executed the directions but this did not solve the issue.
    Even more details:
If I send a message to the Jane Doe address from another account on this machine (all my family uses the same email services provider and each have accounts set up on this machine), when you open it, it shows Jane Doe then the <applejax.xx> address AND the picture associated with the Apple Jax account.
So the problem shows up when the message is sent to this account from this machine, AND when it is sent from this machine from this account.  No other accounts on the machine are effected.
I have sent and received email messages from the mail service provider's website, and everything is fine.

  • Downloaded iTunes will not install on laptop

I have a Toshiba laptop with Windows Vista
My ipod and itune have been working working about 6 months, however recently when I tried plugged in my ipod it said there was an error with the apple ipod USB connection (the USB port itself was fine with anything else)
So I deleted itunes so that I could try and reinstall it
Hoever when I try to reinstall it, it comes up with the error
"There is a problem with this Windows Installer package. A program required for this install to complete could not be run. Contact your vendor"
I tried using my desktop to add my music, which worked for a while, but now also won't detect my ipod when it's plugged into the USB port.
    Any ideas anyone?
Please help! I'm going a little crazy without being able to put new music on!
    Thanks

This error message can often be due to a problem with Apple Software update (ASU).
Try removing it with add remove programs. That will probably fail in which case you need to use the Microsoft Installer Creanup Utility to remove the entry for ASU.
Download and install Microsoft Installer cleanup utility, there are instructions on the page as well as the download. Note that what you download is the installer not the program – you have to run it to install the program. The installer doesn't give any message to confirm the installation.

  • Will CS4 install on a G4 Mac?

Adobe says that CS4 requirements are a G5 PPC or Intel Mac. We have CS3.3 that runs fine on a Mac G4 Mirrored Door, FW800, 1.42 GHz Dual Processor. Will CS4 run on this Mac? We own a printing company and work with many graphic artists, ad agencies, etc. The majority of them are running Macs similar to ours using CS3. These Macs aren't really that old and run fine. The comments that we get is that they are not going to upgrade to CS4 simply because Adobe dropped support for the G4 PPC. For many, including our company, a new capital expenditure of thousands of dollars to upgrade to G5 Macs just to run CS4 is ludicrous. It just take too long to capture the Return on Investment in the graphic arts business. We feel that Adobe has shot themselves in the foot by not writing CS4 for the G4 PPC. We know that for Adobe to stay in business they have to develop upgrades to their existing software and new products. But, they are beginning to leave a bad taste in the mouths of many faithful users. For now anyway, all of our customers will stay with CS3 and that is fine by us.

    Jeff,
    >It wouldn't be entirely unreasonable to hope that Adobe would not break the software on G4s as long as they are bothering to support PPC at all.
But with CS4, some new apps are of necessity Intel only to properly support them. Other apps (such as Photoshop CS4) require the use of higher end graphics cards for 3-D and other advanced features.
G4s simply don't have the horsepower or resources, with their small hard drives, limited RAM capacity, and CPU speed, by today's standards. That said, the old G4 computers can still run some of the Suite if they're maxed out, but not all, and not particularly well.
According to a quick bit of research, G5s started replacing G4s 5.5 years ago. G4s were gone a year later. That's ancient history in computer-speak.
So, is Adobe being unreasonable not to support two-generation old technology and its fast sinking user-base?
No. Not in my opinon. But, then again, those who need to keep their vernerable G4s are not forced to upgrade either. Their older software won't just suddenly quit working or work any less well than it has all these years.

  • Will CS4 Install? Run? on Lion

Before I begin, a simple request: no coaxing to upgrade or move to adobe cloud,  - Neither is an option. I'd really just like some honest advice from those who have tried, suceeded/or failed at installing and/or running CS4 on Lion.
    I. WILL IT (CS4 Design Premium) INSTALL?
Like a fool, I didn't install CS4 (Design Premium) on my Lion partition before I upgraded it from Snow Leop.(I'd been thinking that I'd be best off, installing clean)
Now I'm concerned, the install (or any of the endless patches will fail). It's getting to be a real pain rebooting into SnowLeop.
II. HOW WELL / and WHAT WILL IT RUN?
I can deal with slightly flukey behaviour since I won't be dealing wth production work - but I'd rather skip the install/patch/activation ordeal if it's really a lost cause.
IIb): which if any, of the programs are problematic...
It's important for me to get some feedback, BEFORE attempting since I MAY need to deactivate my laptop version before proceeding - and frankly CS (esp Acro) has become the biggest PITA to install. . I'll post a second, activation question seperately.
    Many Thanks for your advice.

Hi , just need toast for one task and have an old version (toast 6) lying around. wondering if that would run on lion. Any ideas?
What sort of task is it that you need Toast for? It may be possible to perform the task in another burning program. Personally I have always used Toast and believe it is value for money with it's great range of features, but it depend on how much you are prepared to spend. There is a free program, I believe, called Burn. Have a read up on it to see if it will do that one task you require.

  • OfficeJet 6600 will not install on computer with WIndows 8.

I just purchased an ASUS laptop and already own an HP Officejet 6600. I tried today to install the printer on the ASUS but I receive the error that it will only run on XP, VISTA and Windows 7. What can I do to make the two connect and install the printer? My printer is in perfect condition and I do not want to buy a different one.

    Hi,
Ensure the printer is powered on and connected with a USB or to the same network as your PC.
Then download and follow this tool, it will obtain and launch the latest installation for your oerating system:

  • Flash Player will not install for use with Firefox

I cannot install Flash into Firefox, To see Flash content, I must use Google Chrome...no problem there. Way back when, I had no problems with Firefox.
Though I am an administrator, I get the "insufficient permissions" message just before the installation is complete. I tried everything suggested in Adobe's help area in that regard.
What I have tried: A new administrator account. Making sure I was running the .exe program and Firefox as an administrator. Delete and reinstall Firefox. Use the uninstall from Adobe for Flash, and then try the reinstall. Disabling all security while doing all of this. Installing in Safe Mode. I spend a few hours on this every month or so.
A new install in Chrome happens. I even downloaded Commodo Dragon, and have the same trouble there...I feel like Chrome is wandering around inside there to keep me from using Firefox!!! I have been using Firefox for years, and still strongly prefer it, but I am about to give up.

Could you check the progress of the install.
    (1) Physical file location
The DLL is deposited in this folder:
    C:\Windows\SysWOW64\Macromed\Flash
    Can you find NPSWF32_11_9_900_170.dll there?
    (2) Registry entry
If the file exists, the next link in the chain is the registry entry Adobe leaves for Firefox to find.
If you are comfortable using RegEdit, that should be here:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\MozillaPlugins\@adobe.com/FlashPlayer

  • Deleting an IMAP account on one Mac. Will it affect my laptop with same account?

I set up the same IMAP account on two Apple Mail programs: one on my laptop, the other on my iMac. I want to remove or disable the account on my iMac, but will either removing it completely or disabling it affect how my account runs on my laptop? Will I still be able to send and receive emails on my laptop if I delete the account on my Mac?
FYI, the account was set up on my laptop before setting it upon my iMac.
    Thank you!

Morning I am intrested in this for my son for simple word processing and internet so it will be enough for that. My question though it shows coming soon shipping store pickup not ava. Im guessing this is just shipping but when will it be up to order

Oh heck ya, if thats all you say its going to be used for. It can be used for Facebook and all that stuff. Just dont try to do games like Sims 3 or whatever on it. If your son likes to go to the library, the laptop has Wifi so they can surf the net there. Libraries usually have filtered Wifi access, if you are unsure, check with the library!

  • Laptop with 64 bit processor, does PSE10 run on this with out problems?

I have PSE7 & Premiere 7.  When I updated to windows 7 a year & a half ago I started to have trouble with Editor in particular Quick edit not working.  Becoming unresponsive.  Also happens with full edit but not as often.  I thought that it might be because I have a 64 bit processor.  I want to purchase PSE10 & Premiere but I am worried it will just work the same.  PS's chat person seems to avoid an out right answer.  Not sure how to approach the 32 bit compatible mode they are suggestions on the box.  Anyone have experience with this ?
    Thanks Velera

PSE7 was not designed for that purpose as it came out prior to the launch of W7 by Microsoft. PSE10 will run well. I purchased the Photoshop Elements 10/Premier Elements 10 bundle which is really good value and Premier has 64 bit support. You also qualify to buy the upgrade version which is a bit cheaper.
If you want to try out the program for yourself before purchasing , download the 30 day free trial using the link below. If you like it you can then get the boxed product from your favorite store or on-line retailer. Simply enter the product code from the DVD box into the trial and it becomes your to keep. No further installation is required from disk, but keep them as your backup.

  • Premiere Pro CS4 and my laptop

    Hi everyone,
I'm using Premiere Pro CS4 on my laptop with below specs:
Intel Pentium III Seon 2,27 Ghz
    3GB Internal memory
ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3430  (512 MB)
    FUJITSU MHZ2250BH G2  (232 GB, IDE)
Windows XP 32 bits with Service Pack 3
Recently i've experienced really bad video playback. When I play a video to start edit it, it starts stuttering. I've tried the settings on "automatic quality" and "draft quality", bot in both situations the same problem. The video i'm editing now is HD1080 GoPro video. Also tried it was an already converted version of this video to AVI.
I expect that a laptop from the time that CS4 came out, suitable for 32bits system, should be working on my (in that time) better than average laptop.
Please let me know if i'm totally wrong and there is no way that Premiere is gonna work on my system!
    Thanks in advance,
    Danny

System requirements Adobe Premiere Pro CS4
    Windows
2 GHz or faster processor for DV; 3.4 GHz for HDV; dual 2.8 GHz for HD*

Microsoft Windows Driver Model– or ASIO-compatible sound card

My harddrive is a Fujitsu Mobile MHZ2250BH-G2 250 GB hard drive. With a Spindle Speed of 5400 rpm. So not the 7200-RPM which is needed for HDV and HD editing?
And if I understand it correctly I would need a 3,4 Ghz for HDV editing or Dual 2,8 Ghz processor for HD editing? GoPro is HD1080, so would need at least the Dual 2,8 Ghz?
