Will CS6 be compatible with Mountain Lion?
I think the next OSX release is right around the corner.
Do we know to what extent CS6 will be ready to work in that new enviornment?
Best,
AJ

Will FCE be compatible with mountain lion
Please don't said I have to buy FCP app..
Answering about Mountain Lion at this point would be speculation, not permitted in these forums.
You have to understand that FCE was discontinued even before Lion was released. It is not supported on Lion. Many users have attempted to install & run FCE on Lion and have either failed or had problems with the results. The few that seem to have successfully used FCE on Lion basically already had FCE installed on Snow Leopard before upgrading to Lion.
FCE was EOL (end-of-life) as of June 2011. Final Cut Pro X is the current solution. -
Will Elements 6 be compatible with Mountain Lion?
Will Phoptoshop Elements 6 be compatible with Mountain Lion?
Keith... other folks as well.
I finally saw Terrence's link (RoaringApps) and went there. I can't believe I missed it. Apparently Elements 6 will be OK. THANK YOU TERRENCE! I suppose I could upgrade, but I'm so familiar with 6 I'm reluctant to leave it unless there's no other way out. I read the specs for Elements 10 and I see what might be a problem with meeting their spec requirements.
I thought the simplest solution might be to upgrade to Lion. Can't find it for sale anywhere. Oh well... and all this is to solve a recurring, stupid, blankety blank email problem. -
How can I find Lion to download it to my Mac Book? It has Snow Leopard and 4GB RAM but it the white plastic model and is not compatible with Mountain Lion. I have been told by the Genius Bar that it will handle Lion.
That underpowered model is better left on 10.6.8 for performance reasons, also the fact that it's dated and 10.7 will likely require you to buy alll new software to replace the PPC based software your currently using.
If you insist, then call Apple via phone and they will sell you 10.7 Lion and provide a link to download it.
My 2¢ is to save up for a new machine, as that one is about to kick the bucket, they only last about 4.5 years or so depending upon use/enviroment.
If your having problems with 10.6.8, perhaps some of the links here can assist, 10.6 is faster than 10.7 in fresh install tests.

Is CS 5 compatible with Mountain Lion OS?
Is CS 5 compatible with Mountain Lion OS?
Yes, we can confirm that Audition CS6 is compliant with Mountain Lion (Mac OS 10.8) and their are currently no known issues between the product and the new OS.
While Audition CS5.5 is not the latest version of Audition, I can also confirm that it appears to work just fine as well.
With the minimal backend architectural changes made to the new Mac OS (between Lion and Mountain Lion), we see no reason for users to be concerned.
I hope that helps.
Thanks,

Is there a version of Internet Explorer which is compatible with Mountain Lion?
Is there a version of Internet Explorer which is compatible with Mountain Lion?
I found my answer. The latest version of Internet Explorer for Mac is still a POWER PC APP and therefore will not run on Mountain Lion. I just tried it an indeed I received the message that 'power pc apps no longer run on Mac OS 10.8. FINI

Is Print Shop 2 compatible with Mountain Lion?
I'm considering buying Print Shop 2 (mainly for the purpose of printing labels, though I'm also generally looking for something to replace MS Publisher). I can't find out, though, whether the current version of Print Shop 2 is compatible with Mountain Lion. Does anyone know?

Go to the above link. Once you are there, scroll to the bottom of the page. Select Technical Support. You will get a pop-up that says Technical Support Request. Fill in your info. When you get to PROBLEM TYPE, select "Can't install, Not enough space message." Then send it. You will get a reply almost immediatly with the updated installation download. This should help you. My print shop works great now. Hope this helps. -

Why not just Upgrade to 10 6 8 which is Snow Leopard...
First you need to check that your current Mac meets the System Requirements for Snow Leopard...
Snow Leopard Specs:
http://support.apple.com/kb/SP575
If it does... then you need to Purchase and Install Snow Leopard Disc,
Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard
( It should be noted that Apple will send paid MobileMe members the Mac OS X 10.6 DVD for free.)
Would Also Recommend that you do a Bootable Clone Backup of your current Hard Drive Before attempting any Major Upgrade...
By far the easiest way to make a Backup, is to use something like

or CCC http://www.bombich.com/ -
Express 802.11n model A1264 not compatible with Mountain Lion?
I have an airport Express 802.11n model A1264. I have been using it with Mountain Lion for a couple of months. Some problems but it worked. Last nite it stopped. - flashing orange light. I am using Airport Utility version 6.1. The helpful? lady at apple support said that model of Airport Express (Gen 1 ) was not compatable with Mountain Lion and I need to get a Generation 2 Airport Express. Is there any other solution?
Hardware failure is a possibility but your Express is most certainly compatible with your version of Mac OS X.

... I had pushed in the reset button on the AU Express -
To properly reset it to factory defaults requires that you depress its reset button continuously for about five seconds - long enough for the LED to flash rapidly, then release it.
After this the Express will create an open wireless network called "Apple Network nnnnnn" where nnnnnn = a set of characters unique to your Express.
Connect to that network by selecting it in the menu.
Launch AirPort Utility. It should find the Express.
If you are still having trouble unplug the Express and plug in to an electrical outlet near your iMac. Not only does this make it easier to perform another "hard reset" should you need to, it minimizes the potential for wireless interference to prevent communication. There is no need to have it connected to your modem as you configure it.
Only after doing all this should you begin to suspect the Express has simply failed. In that case bring it back to Apple for a final determination.
Don't let them tell you it is not compatible with Mountain Lion because I use the exact same one all the time. Even its preceding model is compatible. -

SteveNo, it's not compatible with Mountain Lion. See:
Macs that will support OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion
As usual, the newer the Mac the better:
MacBook Pro – 13″ from mid 2009 or later, 15″ from late 2007 and newer, 17″ from late 2007 and newer
MacBook Air – late 2008 and newer
iMac – models from mid 2007 and newer
MacBook – 13″ aluminum from 2008, 13″ from 2009 and newer
Mac Mini – early 2009 and newer
Mac Pro – early 2008 models and newer
XServe – early 2009 models and newer
Macs that are NOT expected to support OS X Mountain Lion
Older Macs and those with weaker GPU’s will likely be left behind:
Anything with an Intel GMA 950 or x3100 integrated graphics card
Anything with an ATI Radeon X1600

Camcorders compatible with Mountain Lion
I have been searching for a camcorder to replace my Flip Nano, but the search has been more difficult than I had expected. Another section of this website suggested that I post my question here. Here's what I had posted there:
"I'm in the market for a new camcorder because my Flip Nano is incompatible with Mountain Lion and always will be. However, selecting the replacement is more difficult than I had anticipated. First, there's the matter of selecting candidates, but the search doesn't end there. The question then becomes, will the new camcorder be compatible with Mountain Lion? So far, I have asked three of the sellers about this and two have told me, surprisingly,"I don't know" (the other hasn't yet replied--Has now. Can't help). I'm looking for some shortcut that will make the selection process easier. Can I assume that all camcorders made by the same manufacturer, Sony, for instance, respond in the same way to Mountain Lion? Is there another way to get the information I need? Fortunately, I only have this problem with the two applications/devices that I'd like to keep, and one of them is working on the fix. My only regret is that I installed Mountain Lion, because I preferred Snow Leopard."
In another rmessage, I said the following "...So, my conclusion is, it's not very easy to find camcorders that are compatible with Mountain Lion...unless, unless there is a site for Mac/Mountain Lion users that contains camcorders, and other things, that are compatible with Mountain Lion. or that aren't. Could this be such a place?".
There you have it. Does anyone have any ideas?AppleMan1958 wrote:
Mountain Lion does not work directly with video cameras. You need an app like iMovie or Final Cut Pro to import video.
Here is a list of video cameras supported by iMovie.

Thank you; however I now find that Flip4Mac has been upgraded to work with Mountain Lion (Why didn't they tell me?). Anyway, I have now downloaded their upgrade, and while I haven't yet tested it, I'm hopeful that it will solve the problem. -
im on osx snow leopard but the lion is no longer available on app store. How can i still upgrade to lion? my computer by the way is not compatible with mountain lion. thanks
Hello royalaqua,
I do think you should ask yourself if upgrading to Lion is the right course to take.
Snow Leopard is an excellent OS and Lion has literally been frozen out after barely a year. Remember too that some of your apps may not work with Lion (those that have Rosetta, for example) so that could mean more new purchases. Plus you may need to uprate your RAM too. -
