WILL "digital persona" finger print password manager work with Firefox?

My computer has a fingerprint reader that I use to store my passwords to log onto websites. It works with internet explore but have not been able to use it with Firefox. When trying to use the message states "The address wasn't understood". "Firefox doesn't know how to open this address, because the protocol (daq) isn't associated with any program."
My software was loaded on computer and is named "digital Persona"

I can see from your "More System Details" list (thank you!) that the DigitalPersona extension is disabled. Usually this indicates that the extension contains a list of compatible Firefox versions and your version is not included. This is not a new issue with this software, unfortunately.
In March 2011, another volunteer found this:
"Thank you for contacting DigitalPersona. There will be no update releases for DigitalPersona Personal in the future. There will be no updates for Firefox 4 nor Internet Explorer 9. IF they work they work, if they do not work with DPPersonal, then you will have to decide to either keep DPPersonal and forgo Firefox 4 or IE 9, or vice versa. DigitalPersona is leaving the consumer market and is focusing on business applications. In fact, DigitalPersona Personal will not longer be supported after Mid-April of this year. Some volunteers have suggested testing a different extension: [https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/fingerfox-se/ Fingerfox (SE)]. It claims to support DigitalPersona 2.0. An updated version is available from the developer's website: [http://amews.net/products/fingerfox/download/]. If you try it, could you report back on whether it works?

"DigitalPersona made the decision late last Spring, to discontinue the Personal products. There will be no further revisions."

It is not allowing some downloads and installs and I am tired of going backwards to find another IE that will work. Firefox seems to be doing the trick so far. I want to purchase a biometric fingerprint reader to manage my passwords, but most don't seem to work with Windows 7, and many of the ones that do will not work with Firefox. Has anyone run across the device I am looking for?

ThinkVantage Password Manager incompatible with Firefox 7.0.1

I've updated my Firefox to 7.0.1 and have noted the greyed out message within the FFox add-ons that the ThinkVantage Password Manager is incompatible with Firefox 7.0.1 I have search for a fix or patch from Lenovo that address this issue with this version of FFox but have not found any solutions. Does anyone have an ear to a possible solution? Thanks!

If you are using FF8.0 and it is not working after the patch is installed.
To the following steps:
Disable password manager extension from FF,
And find the file "tvtpwm_jstypes.xpi" and drag it into FF to reinstall the extension.
This file is usually in folder, "c:\swtools\css83_firefox5_patch"

You keep sending messages to download the new 6.0. I started to do this as soon as it came out. It then told me that I would lose my Norton Toolbar which also includes Identity safe. This holds all of my passwords and information and is very important to me. I have given up several other add ons in the past, but I will not budge on this one. I will go to Opera or IE if I have to. I have seen several hundred people with my problem. I googled my same question yesterday and it gave me the same instructions. I ran live update over and over and checked the summary of downloads. There was nothing about a Norton Toolbar Patch. I ran it until were no more live updates and I also checked to see if my version is up to date. Am I expected to just blindly install 6.0 and see if it has wiped out critical information? I know another rapid update is due very soon for Firefox. Guess I need to git rid of Norton, Firefox or both. I do not have weeks to work on this solution. Unlike the Norton people, I am not getting paid for my time. Tired of "Improved" inferior products that used to work just fine.

I downloaded http://www.egistec.com/websitedownload/patch/bioexcess/HPSimPlePass7.0.74.0.zip. I deinstalled Digital Persona Simple Pass, installed Egistec Simple Pass and registed two fingerprints.
Now it still works in windows but it still does not work with firefox, because the Egistec addon "Online Accounts Extension" is incompatible in Version 1.0 ans 1.1 to Firefox 6.

When I installe Firefox version 4 my finger print scanner quit working. Any fixes for this?

I downloaded and installed Fire Fox 4.0 a few weeks ago. As soon as I downloaded the new software, my finger print scanner quit working. The scanner light that normally appears when ever there is a request for entering a user name or password no longer turned on and the scanner was no longer functional. I removed the new Fire Fox version and re-installed version 3.6.17. My finger print scanner is now working again.

Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.

"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
* Firefox > Preferences > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

In device manager showing that biometric reader is working properly. But actually the finger printer reader is not reading or senseing. It seems like "dummy" part. Please help me to correctly configure step by step for this issue.

If you updated your existing account then try logging out of it on the iPhone by tapping on the id in Settings > iTunes & App Stores and then log back in and see if that 'refreshes' the account on the iPad.
If you created a new account then you can log out of the old account and in with the new one as above, but any content that you purchased/downloaded via the old account will remain tied to that old account, and only that old account can re-download its content and download updates to its apps.

Some gestures have been removed in Firefox 4 and later.
You can restore the zoom feature by changing the values of the related prefs on the about:config page.

To open the about:config page, type about:config in the location (address) bar and press the "Enter" key, just like you type the url of a website to open a website.
If you see a warning then you can confirm that you want to access that page.
Use the Filter bar at to top of the about:config page to locate a preference more easily.
Preferences that have been modified show as bold(user set).
Preferences can be reset to the default or changed via the right-click context menu.
