Will FC Express be updating its format soon?

I was wondering if anyone has heard if FC Express was going to update its format anytime soon. I am looking into buying a new camcorder, and I don't want to be as limited to what I can buy as I am right now. Obviously, right now it only supports DV and HDV, what about avchd, or m-peg, or any of the other formats. If anyone has any info on this, I would appreciate it. thanks

When will Adobe issue an update to Camera Raw for CS6 and Lightroom 5 to include the Olympus E-M 5 MARK II camera, does anyone know?

What I wonder is when folks will start researching their favorite software BEFORE buying a new camera model?
I have never seen a cart pulling a horse!!
We know the our software, we know the new camera will be 'ahead' of updates. its the time between that we all seem to just accept. We should not.
We can go round in circles pointing fingers as to who is to 'blame', thats not the point. The point is, no matter how far you go back, since the advent of digital this has been a problem. Posting on all web sites as far back as I remember contain "when will there be RAW support for xyz?". There are even some on this site back in 2006 asking the same question.
The interdependent link between camera makers & software vendors is not working properly. They need each other yet don't support each other. Do you think Adobe thought up DNG just as a exercise? From memory it was an attempt to standardize, with an open code, a raw format that was universal. I blame Canikon for not wholeheartedly supporting it. Then the Oly, Panny alliance come along with MFT, an ideal opportunity, but proprietary issues prevail as if they got some sort of advantage from it. They don't IMO.
Sorry for the rant, got carried away! Its just so frustrating.

what a long post....Apple, btw, does not read this stuff, so ranting, raving, and complaining here might make you feel good, but it does no good at all. That being said, I, too have a Mac Pro Quad Core Xeon with 6 gigs of ram and an nVidia 8800 GT graphics card (not as good as yours, alas) and I've had no problems at all with it. Yes, it doesn't have Thunderbolt, but maybe we Mac pro owners will get lucky and someone will come out with an adapter (probably not). No, you probably don't have to throw away your Mac Pro, but if you do, I'll take it, for a small "recycling" fee >:-) That was a joke. Yes, the Mac Pro's future isn't quite clear, YET. Hopefully that will improve very soon. As for not being able to upgrade to Mountain Lion. Don't worry about that too much, Nobody is forcing you to do that. Your Mac Pro won't quit working if it isn't installed. From what I've heard, you should give the new OS a chance, and wait to get it, in case there might be some bugs, or stuff not working with the new OS, which has been known to happen. Yes, we Mac Pro owners don't like being treated like mushrooms-kept in the dark, and being fed......... but Apple is Apple and it will do what it does, and there is nothing you or me can really do to change that. All I can say is....trust, have faith, be patient, go for a walk, do something else to take your mind off of this problem. IF apple decides to drop the Mac Pro for good, and that's a big "IF", I think they will anger a whole bunch of people

I had no trouble updating my small catalogs but my large one I tried several times. After around 45 minutes I see a dialog box that says
"Lightroom couldn't update the format of its catalog file and must quit. Your previous catalog will be restored".
Any help on how I can get LR to open the catalog. No problems with the integrity check. The catalog was working just fine in version 1.0.

I had the same issue.
Fortunately I had backed up up my db before the upgrade.
I exited then restarted LR and created a new db - so it would start.
With my backup copied to a safe location I then opened the backup db. The conversion completed successfully and everything appears OK.

Yes, if you use Disk Utility to reformat the drive or assign that drive to TimeMachine it will wipe all existing data off the drive/partition.
Like was mentioned, only use one drive for TimeMachine and preferably another one for a bootable clone.

You will need to upgrade to Snow Leopard 10.6.8 in order to update iTunes to sync with your iPhone.
Start by checking if you can run Snow Leopard:

I have a older MacBook I upgraded memory two 3 gb from its original two but it still will not let me update from snow leopard to maverick I have plenty of available ram does anyone know why

MRKO Error : Express document "update was terminated" received from author

Hi Gurus,
When settling Consignment through MRKO we are getting error 'Express document "update was terminated" received from author xxxx' in ECD system.
At workplace inbox, the error shows "Error Info... XS 007: Address invalid".
Please note that I am not getting any short dump at ST22 for the same error.
My queries are:
1. How can I create a short dump for this error....this will help in analyzing the issue.
2. What are the probable reasons for this error can be.

I have tried SM13 and getting ERROR XS007(Address Invalid).
Diagnosis says:
The address specified is invalid or initial (address value, address type INT).
Procedure:
Enter a correct address that is suitable for address type INT.
The formats are:
1. INT (Internet Mail Address): <name>@<domain> or comment<name>@<domain> or <name>@<domain>(comment)
2. FAX(fax addresses): <country><number>
ETC
Now as already told, I have properly maintained mail-id in "Email" field & "StandardComm.Mtd" field as E-Mail of the Vendor Master.
The mail ID is my official ID and working.
Please advice further.

In update task & Express document Update was terminated

Need help!
Requirement: When i do confirmation through CO11N i have to do GI through a BADI.
Solution: I have written a wrapper Update module(internally has /AFS/BAPI_GOODSMVT_CREATE) with Start delayed and called that module(in update task) in the method MB_DOCUMENT_BEFORE_UPDATE of the definition MB_DOCUMENT_BADI.
It works fine when every thing is correct, but if GI fails its still confirms the confimation and "Express document Update was terminated" pops up when i push the back button. I have written a abort statement in the update module if goods movement fails. When i check SM13 it shows the reason for erroring out. But my requirement is to stop the complete transaction if GI fails and put the error message at the bottom of screen(CO11N)
How can i do this?

I don't think that it is possible. It's too late to call rollback. The FM in update task is called after command COMMIT WORK. Here is a quote from ABAP documentation:
If during the update an error occurs, the update work process executes a database rollback, returns the log record with a note into table VBLOG and informs the user whose program has created the log record by SAPMail. After removing the error cause, the returned log records can be updated again.
So you should call that module only in case that you are 100% sure that it will be processed correctly.

Adobe guys and ladies,
Is there any information that you can add to the dialog shown below that will help me decide if the NRW format used by the Nikon P7000 P&S will be compatible with my >> 10,000 image Lightroom collection?

I now shoot topside and underwater (using an Ikelite housing) with a D300S. My work flow is to copy the nef files to Lightroom 3 (for Mac) as dng files for tweaking either in LR3 or occasionally in Photoshop. I'm presently considering a P&S such as the P7000 but I'm concerned that the proprietary nrw format will be a "deal killer". How do I convert nrw files to either raw, nef or dng but not tif? WK

HI Thanks for the question. As with any new model software to convert RAW images will have to be updated for newer models. The Microsoft WIC compatible NRW should easily be read and converted by your software once they update for the newer model. Of course for the best conversion we'd recommend using Nikon Capture NX2. Hi, The issue of file incompatibility is of great concern for many potential P7000 buyers. Let me ask the question a bit differently: Can the NRW format used by the P7000 camera be read directly (or converted to NEF or DNG formats) by available Mac software such as Aperture, iPhoto, Adobe Lightroom 3 or Adobe Photoshop 5? thanks, WK

HI Thanks for the update. I'm sorry but you'd have to ask Adobe and Apple about their plans to support the P7000 images. I'd guess based on their support for other RAW format we've produced that they would but since it is their software they would be the ones who could answer. Sorry we can't help more. -David

The fact that there was a delay between the release of the P6000 and its support in CaptureNX does not prove anything except Nikon was eager to release the camera, and followed up with changes to the SDK and/or CaptureNX after the fact.
I apologize if the tone of this post seems stern, but in my opinion, its time for the misinformation to stop, and the huge body of erroneous information on the internet to begin to be dismantled.
Note: I am not a Nikon defender. I just don't like to see people being unfair to them.

Whjen i am trying to delete the line items in the VL02n transaction for a delivery document , It is giving a message " Express document update was teminated by the user <username>" and those line items are not at all deleted.

Check SM13/14 for the failure message.
This error will comw when you try to post any value which is not suitable for User settings, i mean if the variable format is 1,000.00 and you try to pst someother format then this will come.

Then it would be really difficult because you will face an update termination every time incase something goes wrong in creating the PO.
In this method even if you raise any messages it would lead to update termination.
If you check the documentation it says that messages can be issued only in AT_SAVE method.
Try creating your PO in this method.
If you need the document number then what you can do is create a custom RFC FM and call it in background. In this FM call your BAPI and using the document number do the further processing.
But if you want this document number to update something in the workorder then i feel that is not possible using this BADI.
