Will Firefox 3.5 work on an IMac power PC G5 with OS 10.4.8?
Your faqs say that Firefox 3.6 is the last version that works with os 10.4.8. Tell me where I can download Firefox 3.5. I could not find anyplace on your website offering previous versions.
Use Firefox 3.6, or tenfourfox. http://www.floodgap.com/software/tenfourfox/
Even though 3.6 is out of date, it is more up to date than 3.5

Will Firefox for Android work on my Le Pan android tablet?
Possibly, it meets all the minimum specifications. Does the device have the Android market?
If not you can get Firefox manually at http://bit.ly/fennecftp Note there is no updater in this build so to stay safe and get the performance improvements you will need to check the link for new releases (every 6 weeks). -

I think this is the info someone would need:
You may want to post machine info.

Leave out the serial number.

Look around & see if you can find the bus speed for the SATA.

Will latest Media Player work on updated iMac 350?
I've bought a 120 gig Seagate 7200 speed HD, 512 megs more ram, and a retail version of Panther to upgrade my mom's iMac. For the most part she will only use Safari, Mail, & put a few digitial camera photos on it to view and store. However, she recently signed up for Netflix movie rentals and currently can't view the media player trailers in OS 9.1 - they don't offer Quicktime trailers (which I've contacted them and requested they please offer Quicktime trailers with no response from Netflix).
Will she be able to view them in Panther if she downloads media player? From the minimum system requirements (like a G3 with 400 or 450 mhz) it at first glance appears she again can't view them; however, the system requirements are "recommended" and I'm wondering with this faster HD and around 640 megs of memory that perhaps it's possible - especially since the Netflix previews are fairly low resolution. Comments/real user experiences with the recent versions of media player on such an older system would be much appreciated. So you think that the latest Windows media player will work on the iMac 350, it just may stall sometimes.
I know the previous version of Media Player is still avaliable, would it work any better on older machines like the iMac 350? -
How will Batman Arkham City work on my iMac 21.5 Late 2013?
Hi everybody, I have just bought an iMac for Christmas and I wanna know how will Batman Arkham City work on my computer. The especifications are this: 21.5, 2.7 i5, 8GB RAM and Iris Pro Graphics 1024 MB Late 2013. How will the game look compared with a PS3? And I am also worried because the are some people who say that gaming in an iMac like mines can damage it, is it true?
Thank You, and sorry for my English I am from Spain and I dont totally control the language.According to a review written in Oct 2013, they cover several aspects of this year's iMac and go into graphics performance, where they said they tried a few tests and a few games. The game inquiry appeared to be given a satisfactory nod or affirmative here: http://www.engadget.com/2013/10/08/apple-imac-review-2013/ or coverage of recent specs here: http://www.macworld.co.uk/mac/reviews/?reviewid=3470461
Since I didn't look into Mactracker for Late 2013 specs to see when that version shipped, the numbers may have changed if 'Late' model was available after the October 2013 date of their review.
There also are a few other incidents of that game in use on iMacs of later vintage, as per search results: https://www.google.com/#q=Batman+Arkham+City+in+iMac+2013+model
Hopefully the game & the new iMac works out well for you.
Good luck & happy computing! -
Will an ethernet adapter work on an iMac?
I have tried on numerous occasions to connect my iMac to the internet via an ethernet connection but the following message appears: "Cable Unplugged". I have given up on the ethernet port and would like to know if an ethernet adapter would work on an iMac. All the information that I have read says that the ethernet adapter works on a Mac but nowhere does it mention the iMac.
Sorry for the delay in getting back to all of you. Firstly, thanks for your input. Good to be a part of the support community. I went to my local Apple reseller store, explained the situation, and they recommended an ethernet to Thunderbolt adapter. I took it home, installed it and, voila, I now have an (really fast) ethernet connection. The gentlemen at the store told me that the adapter is not for transferring data, only internet access. Please feel free to relay this information to anyone you know with an ethernet connection problem like the one I had. Regards.

Will Singapore-market iSight work US-market iMac?
Via eBay, I found new-in-box iSight cameras from a seller in Singapore. The part number is M8817ZP/C instead of M8817LL/C. Will there be any issues using this with my iMac? (I'm sure I can forget about any tech. support.)
Here's the listing for more info. The Apple-Singapore web site to which the listing links reads no differently than Apple-USA's site.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=200052416977Hi Helicon,
They will work fine. The Mnnnn is the model number, anything after that is usually documentation or packaging variations. Z variations are usually international. -
Will firefox beta 4 work on an experia x8?
recently i bought an xperia x8 & tried to install firefox beta 4 in my X8 phone but the installation has failed
The main version of Firefox mobile does not work on the Xperia X8, but checking the system requirements, the experimental ARMv6 nightly builds may work. For details see https://wiki.mozilla.org/Mobile/Platforms/Android#System_Requirements

Will FireFox Stop Trying To Download Media Player on my desktop with out my permission?
I hate having my browser closed against my will and having it try to install an add-on that I did not ask for nor want and that I did not give permission to start downloading and put on my browser.
I don't know what Media Player is but now I hate it this product with a furry because it has try to basically ''***'' it's way on to my browser and it keeps restarting my shit.
I'd appreciated that in the future, your add-ons come with a message with a yes or no button asking if we want something new or not and when we click no, No means no, don't ever try to install it again for I have zero interest in your product and would like to not have it forced onto my browser.
And yes this experience has mad me very angry for this has happened at least seventeen times and it seems like its going to keep happening until I complain about it.
Have a nice day.
edited for language - please refer to the [[Forum rules and guidelines]] (philipp)If the above does not work, we need to try Firefox in Safe Mode to determine whether the issue is indeed caused by another add-on.
To go into safe mode, please try the following steps:
''(If you're using an added theme, switch to the Default theme.)''
If Firefox is open, you can restart in Firefox Safe Mode from the Help menu by clicking on the '''Restart with Add-ons Disabled...''' menu item:<br>
[[Image:FirefoxSafeMode|width=520]]<br><br>
If Firefox is not running, you can start Firefox in Safe Mode as follows:
* On Windows: Hold the '''Shift''' key when you open the Firefox desktop or Start menu shortcut.
''Once you get the pop-up, just select "'Start in Safe Mode"''
'''''If the issue is not present in Firefox Safe Mode''''', your problem is probably caused by an extension, and you need to figure out which one. Please follow the [[Troubleshoot extensions, themes and hardware acceleration issues to solve common Firefox problems]] article to find the cause.
''To exit Firefox Safe Mode, just close Firefox and wait a few seconds before opening Firefox for normal use again.''
Is the issue still present in Safe Mode? Please let us know. -

Is a 2011 iMac power cable compatible with a 2013 iMac?
Just wondered if the extra plastic circle on the standard C13 cable matches up with a later iMac model.
I'm not so sure about that. I have a 2011 at home and a 2013 at work, and my recollection is that the 2013, having a much more severe dish in the back to make the thin front edges, has a pronounced slope to the power cord disk. Looking at my My 2011 right now, the disc has no slope relative to the cord. It might work, but the disc wouldn't fit right. I'll have to shut down to pull the cord and examine it!

Are 2009/2011 iMac power supply compatible with mid2010 iMac?
I have a mid-2010 that doesn't turn on. None of the LEDs turn on and I've been troubleshooting for a couple weeks with no luck. I want to buy a power supply for the iMac but I'm not sure if others are compatible. I can't find one specifically for the 2010 one.
Information:
Mid-2010 21.5" iMac
EMC 2389
About 2.5-3 years old
It doesn't turn on
None of the diagnostic LEDs are lit
Makes a small zzz noise every couple seconds when plugged in
Suspected power supply failureSwitching won't harm your machine.

Will new shuffle work on older iMac w/USB 1.0?
Thinking about getting my 9 year old a new suffle for xmas. His mac is an older G4 FP (lamp style) and only has USB 1.0. Will the new shuffle work on his iMac?
Thanks,
AlfredoThe 2 responses to this question conflicted. On the
page referenced in the second answer, it says only
USB 2.0. The first answer said that yes, it will work
with USB 1.0.
Which answer is correct???
The first one... the second answer doesn't have any experience behind it, only marketing pap.
From a first hand point of anecdotal reference, MY iPods, including first and second generation Shuffles work fine with USb 1.1 (2001 iBook dual-USB, iMac 333mHZ Rev D, and eMac 1GHz).
