Will firefox ever be available on WII?

I was wondering if firefox will ever be on the Wii?

Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10_6_3; en-us) AppleWebKit/531.22.7 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0.5 Safari/531.22.7

Firefox is open source, and, as such, can be compiled for any platform (after any necessary modifications are made).
If someone re-worked the front end to make it wii-compatible, and modified any incompatible code to build under the DevKitPro toolchain, then it would be able to run as homebrew on any (/all) hacked wii consoles.
This is similarly true for other devices (eg. iPhone), but thus far nobody has visibly attempted any such project.

Will Siri ever be available for my Ipad?

If you have the 3rd generation iPad, it will be available when iOS6 releases this fall.  Siri will most likely never be available for the iPad1 and iPad2.

Apple hasn't said anything about siri on the other devices.  It is currently limited to the iPhone 4S

  • Will Firefox ever support WebKit?

I'm using Sencha Touch, a JS framework based on WebKit. It works in nearly all other browsers, but Firefox. Will FF ever support WebKit?

I doubt it. Mozilla uses Gecko, and I doubt if that will change.

  • Will Firefox OS be available to install on the Nexus phones/tablets?

Will Mozilla ever make an official and tested ROM/Image that will work on the Nexus line of phones/tablets such as the Nexus/Nexus 4/Nexus 7 (2012 and 2013 editions with cellular)? I'm testing Ubuntu Touch on a Galaxy Nexus and have installed Ubuntu for ARM on my 2012 Nexus 7 Wifi+3G. I'm also looking at some point to play with Replicant and F-Droid.

Was looking for either a pre-compiled .zip file to install via custom recovery or .img file(s) to flash via ADB myself

  • When will Firefox Mobile be available for Android 1.5?

I have the new Motorola i1 (Boost Mobile) which runs version 1.5 of the Android operating system with no upgrade to 2.x in sight. Any idea when Firefox mobile might be available for it?

The minimum requirement is Android 2.0, I don't believe there are any plans to make a version for Android 1.5

  • Will iphone ever be available on a CDMA network? Such as Telus?

The iphone of course at the moment is only available in GSM networks in Canada, and the only carrier seems to be Rogers. I switched out of Rogers for a few reasons and do not plan to go back to that carrier for the iphone. I am in love with my itouch and would love an iphone since using it is so easy and can sync with the MacBook very easily. I was hoping that due to the sucess of the CDMA network apple would create an iphone that would accompany the CDMA networking. I am hoping that with the success of the iphone they will create one for Telus users. Im hoping for a positive response!

Telus would need to convert to the GSM network. And even then it is an exclusive contract with Rogers. So you would not be able to use it with Telus unless they got some sort of contract to sell the iPhone and provide the service. And right now this belongs to Rogers communications.
I was in Canada myself this past week with my iPhone. mainly Toronto area. And all I can remember my iPhone displaying was Rogers Wireless or Bell But I did see a few Telus stores.
So maybe it is time to give Rogers another chance? If you do decide to give Rogers another chance just check on the following
    1. How long till you can terminate the contract. Some places give you 30 days to try them out
    2. What is the return Policy for the iPhone. Currently in the US I know it is 14 days
    3. Check and see if there is a restocking fee if you return it within the 14 days
Up to you if you want to give them another try

  • When will firefox mobile be available in Us?

I see the firefox phones for sale on ebay and want to buy one. Which carrier can I use it on?

This seems like the best place to deposit additional information about AT&T and ZTE Open US from Ebay.
<b>NOTE: AT&T told me directly that this phone is considered a smartphone, and as such requires a smartphone plan.</b>
AT&T has two prepaid GoPhone plans with data that will work with ZTE Open US, see [http://www.att.com/shop/wireless/plans/prepaidplans.html official menu] (zip code required).
    # $50/month, Basic/quick messaging phone plan. ZTE Open US can be set to use only 2G EDGE network: Settings : Cellular & Data : Network operator : Network type. This plan is truly unlimited because it is considered slow enough to prevent excessive data usage.
    # $60/month, Smartphone plan. By default, ZTE Open US will use high speed 3.5G HSPA network. This plan is limited to 2GB/month transit, extra 1GB for $10.
Technically speaking, the first plan is compatible with 3.5G HSPA network, but termination of service is likely to happen sooner than it would otherwise (using the phone with the first plan probably violates your agreement anyway).
The second plan is worth the extra $10; you can set the phone to 2G EDGE by default and reserve 3.5G HSPA for times when you really need it.
The Usage app is indispensable in preventing unexpected overages. It is included in Notifications pulldown, allowing for real time monitoring, so you can make sure it works.
    # Launch an app that uses data.
    # Pull down Notifications and watch Usage increase.
When using 2G EDGE, the icon in Status bar and Quick Access is E.
When using 3.5G HSPA, the icon is H.

  • Will Firefox ever fix the page display they broke w/ version22 or should I just uninstall and use another browser?

Pages display is too large for the screen. They blame me for the dpi setting on my pc, yet resetting to the default setting does not fix the problem.

As I understand it, the philosophy behind the changes in Firefox 22 were to apply your Windows text size of 150% to web pages, on the theory that you probably would want that. This doesn't work for everyone.
If the user interface text is a good size, then try this extension to adjust the page zoom level. You can still fine-tune zoom on pages using Ctrl+ and Ctrl- but this will reduce the numbers of sites you need to adjust.
    [https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/default-fullzoom-level/ Default FullZoom Level]
To counteract the change, here are examples of some settings to try:
    * Windows text size 125% => set default zoom level to 80%
    * Windows text size 150% => set default zoom level to 67%
Can you find a setting that looks good to you?
Note: If you already have the NoSquint extension, use its global zoom level instead of adding a new add-on.

  • When will Firefox mobile be available for LG Optimus M?

My LG Optimus M apps market gives me the message, "The requested item could not be found" when I try to download mobile Firefox on my phone.

Mobile Firefox is not compatible with the LG Optimus M as it requires a newer type of processor. The LG Optimus M has a processor that supports ARMv6 architecture, but mobile Firefox requires a processor that supports ARMv7 architecture.
You '''may''' be able to run the experimental ARMv6 builds, for details see https://wiki.mozilla.org/Mobile/Platforms/Android

  • Will Firefox 5.0 ever be supported by HP Smart Print?

Will Firefox ever be supported by HP Smart Print.?  The Add ons now do not work/are not compatible with FF 5.0.

I do not have any inside information from HP, but someone working for a company with a large consumer medical site mentioned to me that they can no longer support Firefox due to thier new release model of a major release every 3 months.  (FF 5 was just released recently, FF6 beta is already out).  The release schedule is happening too quickly, and there is not enough backward compatibility, particurlarly for add-ins to allow proper support.  By the time testing for a release can be done the release has already been obsoleted with the next version.
I would be surprised if HP would support Firefox in add-ins like Smart Printing, they would always be behind and would have unhappy customers.
[Disclaimer - I do not work for HP and do not have any information, official or otherwise,  from HP folks on this subject.  The above is my opinion.]
