Will Firefox ever support WebKit?

I'm using Sencha Touch, a JS framework based on WebKit. It works in nearly all other browsers, but Firefox. Will FF ever support WebKit?

I doubt it. Mozilla uses Gecko, and I doubt if that will change.

  • Will iBooks ever support Adobe DRM?

I quite often want to read books that are not available in the UK iBookstore. These books are almost always available from another UK publisher in ePub format, but with Adobe DRM. So I now use another ebook reader app that supports Adobe DRM.
The other library is now bigger than the one in iBooks and I have transferred all my non-DRM ebooks and .pdfs into it too. I keep iBooks going for my iBookstore purchases, but I mostly use the new reader. This is a shame. I found iBooks and the iBookstore really easy to use, and the integration with my Apple ID and backup on sync really convenient.
Will iBooks ever support Adobe DRM so that I can go back to keeping everything in iBooks?

Not a question anyone here would be able to answer. You can give Apple your feed back.

  • Will apple ever support flac already?

    Hi,
Apple - Will you ever support flac on iTunes? Audiophiles would like to use this format with iTunes / iPod. I don't need to explain my case, its not competition, just a different popular format.
    Thanks.

This is a user-to-user forum, and you aren't talking to Apple here. Apple don't announce their future plans, and I'm afraid no-one on here would have any information on this.
You can send feedback to Apple at http://www.apple.com/feedback/itunesapp.html - you won't get a response but they do read all submissions.

  • Will apple ever support blue tooth 4

will apple ever support blue tooth 4

Then you would need to add newer hardware to your older Mac
    http://www.amazon.com/IOGEAR-Bluetooth-Micro-Adapter-GBU521/dp/B007GFX0PY#
You cannot magically support features on hardware that was not built with them. The actual wires and chips need to have the features.  You need a newer BT chip.

  • Will Firefox 4 support autoconfig (aka Mission Control)?

I am interested in configuring Firefox for users and locking down certain settings. It appears that the folder referenced in http://mit.edu/~firefox/www/maintainers/autoconfig.html is not present on the Firefox 4 Beta install.
Will Firefox 4 support autoconfig, and if so will updated documentation be posted for that when Firefox 4.0 is released?

  • Will ipad ever support whatsapp application?

Will ipad ever support/accept whatsapp application? And what is the reason why it is not supported currently?

Only the Developers of the Whatsapp application can answer that.
They are the ones that chose to not make Whatsapp available for iPad, and only they know why they did it.

  • When will Firefox 7 support websockets (like Safari and Chrome)?

A test query to websockets.org echo test gets the result: "...the browser doesn't have native support for WebSocket". The same test using Safari or Chrome on a Mac results in: "This browser supports WebSocket". Same problem whether on OS X 10.6 or 10.7. When will Firefox 7 catch up to Safari and Chrome?

In Firefox you need to use MozWebSocket.

  • Will Exchange ever support sending mail from a secondary smtp address?

Most here probably know this but a quick recap:
User has PrimarySMTP address of [email protected] and secondary SMTP of
[email protected] In Outlook, if you set the secondary SMTP address in the "From" field, Exchange will throw an "undeliverable" error stating you're not authorized to send mail as
    this user. I know there's
3rd party tools that can help you with this, and ways to circumvent this (using extra accounts or distrigroups) but it's actually really annoying. I've been involved with a lot of companies with different brands (and a domain for each brand) and
who want to communicate with the outside world using these different brandnames. One salesmanager could be involved with different brands and right now you'll have to create a new account or group for each and every brand/domainname.
With every new Exchange one of the first things I check if this behaviour has changed.. Will this ever be implemented? Is there anyone here that could shed some light on that? Is there a reason why this does not change?
    Kind regards,
    Remco Roxs

  • I use Norton Security, a pop window appears to enter my password so that all log-in names & password will be automatically entered for all applications, will Firefox 4 support this feature?

In Norton Security, there is a feature called "Web Protection Log In" where a pop window appears then I enter a password only once as soon as I log in. This feature will automatically fill in my log-in name and password to all applications I use just as ATT.net. Will I be able to have this feature in Firefox 4 ?

    You're welcome.

  • Will Creative Ever Support The 6.1 Speaker Setup In Vista?

The subject line says it all. I'm disappointed that I have a 6. speaker setup with my X-Fi card that worked great in Windows XP, even the x64 edition. Now since I've updated to Vista, the rear center speaker is no longer enabled. I know the current driver set has a note on this, but just wondering if we will ever get 6. surround support again.

    alexs3d2 wrote:
No, because Microsoft doesn't support it.
I'll elaborate on that a bit for you. The 6.1 surround setup is not supported in Vista. This means that (barring some bizzare workaround/emulation effort by Creative), you won't see 6.1 in Vista no matter what sound card/onboard chip you use. It's not up to Creative. Sorry. Microsoft could re-introduce 6.1 with a Vista update. I don't know if it's feasible to do so, but I wouldn't expect anything till Service Pack , as my guess is that would require some major sound architecture changes.

  • Will Apple ever support Adobe Flash Player for iPad ?

How many iPad users have tried to access manuals for consumer products they have and are unable to obtain because of this issue ?

It's unlikely that Flash will ever be supported on the iPad.
Flash is a proprietary product and is being replaced by a standards-based solution, HTML5.
By the way, I've never seen a user manual that needed Flash. These documents are almost always PDF files which are supported by the iPad.
Note Flash questions are very frequent posts here and usually you can find Flash answers by using the Forum search feature rather than posting new, redundant, questions.

  • Will firefox ever be available on WII?

I was wondering if firefox will ever be on the Wii?
    == This happened ==
    Not sure how often
    == I researched opera ==
    == User Agent ==
    Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10_6_3; en-us) AppleWebKit/531.22.7 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0.5 Safari/531.22.7

Firefox is open source, and, as such, can be compiled for any platform (after any necessary modifications are made).
If someone re-worked the front end to make it wii-compatible, and modified any incompatible code to build under the DevKitPro toolchain, then it would be able to run as homebrew on any (/all) hacked wii consoles.
This is similarly true for other devices (eg. iPhone), but thus far nobody has visibly attempted any such project.

  • Will iPod ever support iPhoto?

I was so much disappointed when I bought iPhoto for $5 and a message saying "iPhoto is incompatible with your iPod" appeared . So my question is: will ever iPod support iPhoto, or my purchase was useless?

Since all of us here are only end users like yourself, we would know of no such information and it's against the Terms of Use of these forums to speculate about such things.
I would suggest contacting iTunes support.  They might be willing to give you a refund although they are not obligated to do so.
