Will Firefox post a download to correct thick multiple tab menu bar or provide a delete tab menu bar option?

I wish to reduce the thickness of the tab menu bar in Firefox 4.0 or have the option to delete the bar. I've tried some of the blogs but nothing seems to work. Wondering if your support team could provide users with a download update providing these options?
I'm using Windows 7 on a laptop.

Firefox seems to download updates correctly, but it never applies them. When I try to update manually, Firefox closes and reopens, but it's not updated.

This basically means that I have to watch for updates and update Firefox by re-downloading it from firefox.com each time. It's like the "Apply Update" button mysteriously turned into a "restart Firefox" button.

If there are problems with updating then best is to download the full version and uninstall the currently installed version and delete the Firefox program folder to remove any leftover files.

I want to download Firefox for Mac OS 10.4.11, but it downloads Firefox 4 even when I click on 3.6 0r 3.5. How can I download the correct Firefox for Mac OS 10.4.11??

I have Mac OS 10.4.11. My Mac Laptop Pro has a new hard drive and has been completely refurbished by Apple. However ever since, I have not been able to obtain the correct Firefox. Prior to the replacement of my hardrive, I had Firefox and used it for many years. Not being able to download the correct Firefox is frustrating. Firefox 4 will NOT work on Mac OS 10.4.11. But every time I click on a download of 3.5 or 3.6 the download turns out to be Firefox 4. I cannot use Firefox 4, do not want Firefox 4 but it keeps trying to plant itself on my computer even though it will NOT work on my computer. YIKES!!!!

You see the orange (on Linux gray) Firefox button if the Menu Bar is hidden, so you need to hide the Menu bar to get the new appearance.<br />
If you need to access the hidden Menu bar then press F10 or hold down the Alt key to make the Menu Bar appear temporarily.<br />

You probably have an internet plugin installed that is preventing the MP3s from playing. I just checked a site with an MP3, and it played, rather than downloaded.
The internet plugin folders are at:
/Library/Internet Plug-ins and
~/Library/Internet Plug-ins
(~/Library is hidden by default. Let me know if you don't know how to access it.)
My internet plugins were all in /Library; there were none in ~/Library.
Try moving these folders to the desktop (don't delete them), restarting, and then seeing if the MP3s play.
They it will be trial and error to see which plugin is responsible.

Firefox will not render the font "maximo" correctly in the browser. It renders correctly in Chrome and Safari. Why is this?

I am designing a website and having difficulty with @fontface in Firefox only. Font is "maximo" and is a ttf. It renders perfectly in Chrome and Safari but will not do so in Firefox. I changed my firefox preferences to allow pages to choose their own fonts and wonder if there is something I am missing. When I checked the Tools menu drop down and opened the inspector, the inspector shows that the font is rendering as Helvetica. I am using a mac and running OS X 10.9.5. It is possible that there is a problem with the file(s) that store the extensions registry.
Delete the extensions.* files (e.g. extensions.json, extensions.sqlite, extensions.ini) and compatibility.ini in the Firefox profile folder to reset the extensions registry.

There is software like Advanced SystemCare with its Surfing Protection feature that can protect files in the Firefox profile folder against changes.
If you have such software then check the settings or uninstall this software.

Please don't try to encourage me to use the new update. That is not what I am asking. The layout of Firefox 30 is not user friendly at all, and if I cannot continue to use 28, I will change to a different browser.
What I need to know is how can I get rid of the update that just downloaded itself without warning and permission? I have ALREADY selected in the options menu for Firefox to not check for updates. Thanks to another user's post I was able to learn how to disable this completely in the about:config menu (why can't it be done in the settings? Why doesn't Firefox listen to its users? Hd webcam c525 will not post on a video blog

my new videos from logitech camera "HD Webcam C525" will not post on a video blog website.
-I've tried every which way: google, ie & firefox, no luck getting my video from hd webcam c525 to show on www.slvlogs.com -a video blog.
So i did a lot on firefox, remove flashplayer (or shockplayer) and vlc then reinstall them ---- download lots of things and etc. - now i'm able to record my video!!!!! But then i hit a "publish" button it's gone - didn't post at all (for replying or add video comment). :(
However, youtube works fine: i film myself and upload it on youtube then post it on www.slvlogs.com -just fine for new posts only. Sad part is that i can't reply or leave (add) a video comment.

So I am hearing two issues, that the publish button disappeared and that you cannot add new comments to an embedded video.
It looks like on the site you must be logged in to make a comment: "Log in to Reply"

McAfee told me the current 5.0 version is a beta version, which is why Site advisor will not work with it. They also told me they are not updating site advisor anytime soon. So when will Firefox be updated to a complete and compatible version?

Due to security vulnerabilities, rolling back to Firefox 4.0.1 is not recommended. Firefox 3.6.18 would be the safer choice.
Here's the process to roll back:

You could install Firefox 3.6 over it (many have reported success) or you could uninstall Firefox first. If you uninstall, do not remove your personal data and settings, just the program.
