Will Firefox Work on Nokia E71?

Nokia E71 Using Symbian S60 OS.If Firefox Mobile Did Not Work on Nokia E71 I Appeal For Make A Browser That Work on Nokia E71.Thank You!

It will not work on the Nokia E71. Currently Firefox mobile is only being created for the Maemo OS used on the Nokia N900 and for certain Android based phones. There are currently no plans for a Symbian based version of Firefox.

You should be able to find Firefox by searching for it in the Android market on the device.

  • Will Firefox work on Motorola Backflip?

Wondering if your great browser will operate in the Motorola Backflip phone.

No. We have an early preview of Firefox for Android, but it requires Android 2.0 or higher. (Motorola's Backflip ships with Android 1.5.)
The Backflip will reportedly be updated to Android 2 later this year, and we will continue working on adding support for as many Android phones as possible.

  • If I upgrade my iMac G4 from Tiger OSX 10.3.9 to Leopard OSX 10.5 will Firefox work properly as it will not allow me to upgrade and so I am losing out on much of what Firefox does?

The message is That I am using an older version of Firefox but I can't upgrade to the most recent version (within the last year) and I am losing the ability to do things. For example, I can't send out emails from Gmail now, the type on the screens of many web sites is squeezed small and some web pages are "scrambled" in appearance. Before I purchase an upgrade to the Leopard OSX 10.5 I would like to know if Firefox works properly with it?

Well, with a PPC Mac you can upgrade as far as Firefox 3.6.19 if you upgrade from Tiger OSX 10.3.9 to Leopard OSX 10.5, but Firefox doesn't support PPC architecture in the latest Firefox 4, 5, and 6.0 versions.
    For older Macs that aren't supported in Firefox 4.0 & 5.0, try TenFourFox for PowerPC's running Mac 10.4.11 & 10.5.8 . <br />

But, you still need to carefully investigate if your hardware specs are sufficient for either Firefox 3.6.19 or for 10-4Fox.

  • When will Firefox work with Skype. I had to download an older version for it to work.

I downloaded Firefox 4 but it stated it was not compatible with Skype. I tried Skype and could not get a ring, so I downloaded the version I had previously, 3.6.16. Will Firefox 4 be compatible with Skype in the future?

I not sure what you are referring to here. Are you referring to the Skype Firefox Add-on or the Skype Application?

  • Will Firefox work on a Huawia 858 Vodafone smartphone some time in the future, please. Thank you.

I note that Firefox works on a Huawei Impulse 4G phone. Do you have plans to make it available for a Huawei 858 Vodafone smartphone some time in the future, please?
    Thank you.

Thanks for your prompt reply. Yes my phone can connect to the Android market. When I perform a search for Firefox on the market, it only shows up books, no apps. When I type in http/fennec etc (correctly), I get a screen showing "Index of/pub/mozilla.org/mobile/releases/latest/android/multi", with 2 choices underneath - a "Parent Directory" and one with a ? So I have selected the one with the ? It showed "downloading" for a few seconds, then returned to the "Index etc" menu. There is nothing new on my phone - certainly not Firefox.
Not sure what to do now, but thanks for your suggestion.

    Nokia 360 4g phone

No as Mozilla only makes mobile Firefox for Android 2.3+ with a ARMv7 or Intel x86 cpu.

  • When will Firefox work with Windows 8.1

Everything I have read on the internet tells me I should avoid downloading and installing Firefox, as it doesn't appear as though it will work with Windows 8.1. Additionally, I read that Mozilla has plans to release, sometime in March 2014, a version of Firefox that will work with my system. Problem is, when? When can I know that it is safe to download and install Firefox? I miss it and although Internet Explorer is greatly improved over past versions, I still prefer Firefox as a default browser. There are features that IE doesn't have and probably never will. Features that I can only get in Firefox. So.......................I am patiently waiting.

March 18 is the next release date, for Firefox 28.

  • I have an elocity tablet pc with android 2.2. Will Firefox work on it? I cannot download anything from android market, but can from amazon.

What more info do you need?

The eLocity A7 tablet you have should technically work with the mobile Firefox.
It has Android 2.2 and most importantly a ARMv7 type of cpu, a NVIDIA Tegra II T20 and it has 512MB RAM.
mbrubeck who works on mobile Firefox has been recommending to try the Firefox 9 Beta's because it includes a new interface designed especially for Android tablets.

  • When will FireFox work with Avast?

There wasn't anywhere to post this question and I'm not going to upgrade to 10 to submit it.
I'm on 3.6 and Firefox is going to lose a customer because Firefox won't work with Avast. Firefox is up to v.10 and I haven't seen any indication or information Firefox can run with Avast.

March 18 is the next release date, for Firefox 28.

  • Will firefox work on my toshiba thrive?

It isn't listed with the rest of the compatible devices

You should be able to find Firefox in the Android market on devices that meet the hardware requirements. Though on a tablet using Firefox beta is better, we have some tablet specific UI work that is part of Firefox 9.
