Will Gnome 2 be available after Gnome 3 is out?

Like with KDE 3.5 - it was available for some time after KDE 4 was out. Will there be anything like this with Gnome 2?

there was a discussion until yesterday about that.
1) you can't use any other WM because gnome 3 would lose the modularization.
2) gnome-panel is for fallback mode but nobody knows how this would work. Right now gnome-applets is not even into their plans.

Will iPhoto still be available after installing the 10.10.3 upgrade ?

Having read much of this thread, I'm very reluctant to use Photos as I have a couple of libraries (one of 11,000 + images) which are iPhoto 9.6.1 based.
Is iPhoto overwritten by Photos when the upgrade is installed - or does iPhoto remain on the machine ?
It would be great if I can '...just say NO...' to using Photos and continue using iPhoto !!

iPhoto will remain installed, after you update to Yosemite 10.10.3. When you launch Photos and let it upgrade the iPhoto Library to the new format, it will create a copy to be used with Photos, and you will find the original with a filename extension "Migrated". You can use the library still with iPhoto. The additional Photos library is sharing the photos with your original library via links, so it does not need much additional space. (see this link: Photos saves disk space by sharing images with your iPhoto or Aperture libraries - Apple Support)
Just be sure to make a current backup of your Mac before you upgrade to the new version. Updating to newer systems is never without a risk, i.e., just one day after the fresh release.

I have the Iphone 5, it is just over 12 months old, and it was low on charge, by the time I could get to a charger it had cut out. So i plugged it in the charger like no other time, went back after 10mins and noticed the screen was still black. So i tried to turn it on but nothing still black screen, i changed the charger for my other apple charger and the same thing happened. i decided to plug it in using the usb in the computer and still the same thing has happened. Took it to the apple genuis team to be told they can`t do anything, and now its out of its 12 months warranty makes it even more difficult. Has anyone else had this issue, this is my 4th iphone since they released them and am very dissappointed to say the least that the iphone 5 for me seems to have a life span on just over 12 months and no one is prepared to take any responsiblity as i have not damaged it. One extremely dissappointed Iphone user. Any ideas on how to get it working again?

How can I print to PDF once it is no longer available after 1/15/15?

When I look online, I cannot find anything about alternative ways to print PDF w/in the Adobe Acrobat application. Any suggestions?

With Adobe Acrobat can can print to PDF today and after the date. (The printer is not called CreatePDF). The message is nothing to do with Acrobat. Rather, it applies to the CreatePDF or PDF Pack subscription services.

I think mainly that it is based on GTK3.

The difference is that the 3.10 version isn't as advanced but still picks up your pacman.log. Still it's GTK 3 as you can see from the headerbar.

That is incorrect, archive them now and restore them later, if they are Mobile Me emails they will move to iCloud without you doing anything, but you should still archive them first.

I would say that I am on a good track for taking the SCJP 6 exam (studying, code examples, etc). The thing is that i don't find a lot of time to study lately and with JDK 7 coming I don't know if the SCJP 6 exam will be available after the new JDK is released.
Any information you might provide will be appreciated cause i would not want to prepare for an exam that will not be available in 2010.

you can never be certain, but historically Sun always has had 2 versions of the exam available, sometimes 3 for a short period.
So when the 1.7 exam appears, the 1.5 will likely be dropped and the 1.6 remain.

As KP has pointed out, there actually aren't any anti-virus programs in the App Store. There are a few that allow you to scan e-mail or stuff like that, and a few that provide you with information about malware and new threats for other systems. But none are available that can scan your iOS device for malware, because the security restrictions in iOS do not permit any apps to have that kind of access to anything. Which means that you also cannot be infected with a virus (unless you have jailbroken your device).
If your account got compromised, that had nothing whatsoever to do with your iPad. Someone simply hacked it remotely. Happens all the time. It's really amazing that, in this day and age, e-mail providers are so ignorant of technology and how their own systems get compromised that they would try to require you to run software that does not exist!

To clarify, do you have the User Profile Service (including MySite Host) up and running on this environment? That's subtley different to the full MySite experience which is clearly not applicable...
Interesting question - thanks for that. Until now I didn't realise there was a difference.
The User Profile Service is up and running, but no MySite Host is set. (I don't believe MySite will be available anywhere here. I guess that means there's no valid MySite Host for me to use.)

Java stack is not available after Offline backup

hi all,
Am facing this problem, in one of the XI system ,
after offline backup , am able to login in ABAP stack
but when i type sxmb_ifr am not able login to the java stack.
the log says, ORACLE NOT AVAILABLE,
ORA-27101 Shared memory realm does not exist.
ORA-1034

Hi Sidharth,
Since you are able to login to ABAP, the DB must be up, but to double check run "r3trans -d" at command prompt and verify the connectivity.
Secondly, you need to check whether java server processes are running... using JCMON.
If they are running, then try a stop SAP, reboot and start SAP; so that dangling shared memory will be free for use after reboot.
If not, then you may check why the java instace in failing to start, monitor jcontrol and jlaunch when the instance is starting and defaulttrace#.trc logs to know why the instance failed to start.
Otherwise there is no specific relation between offline backup and SAP applications.

I have tried updating Ipad through my older Mac in ITunes. When I click "Update", it gives a box that says "This version of ITunes (10.6.3) is the current version.
If I want to update it through wireless, I do not have enough storage. If I delete enough apps to clear up storage for update, will I gain it back after download?

I believe in all cases in addtion to 1z0-204 you will need to complete an addtional high stakes exam and have verified attendance at one of a set specific approved Oracle Training courses delivered by OU or as authorized by OU by an authorized provider.
1z0-204 seems to be an entry level exam which is also available online (non proctored) and precedents indicate it will therefore not receive a certification by itself.
