i want to buy story and i have question will google input tool work in adobe story.

Regarding multiple angles shot. I would like to be able to diagram cam locations and even lighting setup and attach to each scene. I'am just starting to learn, but Adobe Story could be a great help for managing projects.

Do you have a Tamil font installed in your OS?
If so, and Ps cannot use that, you might need to try other Tamil fonts. Ps is sensitive to font construction, and if the font is not written exactly to spec., Ps has issues with it.

I haven't heard of any specific incompatibilities with that card. I'd recommend installing the latest video driver from the manufacturer and testing whatever products you intend to use as a trial before you join, just to be positive.

It will accelerate stuff in Premiere, but not After Effects.
The only thing the GPU really accelerates in After Effects is the (obsolete) ray-traced renderer. More details here: GPU (CUDA, OpenGL) features in After Effects
And (not that it matters because you have more powerful 3d options in the current version of AE,) the 900 series cards DO NOT work to accelerate the ray-traced renderer. The ray-traced renderer works using NVIDIA's Optix library. NVIDIA changed that library on their newest cards and the new cards will not work to accelerate the ray-traced renderer. Since the After Effects team isn't putting any more development into the ray-traced renderer, new cards aren't going to work with it.
This page has the list of approved cards for accelerating the ray-traced renderer if you really want to use it for some reason.
Now, some third-party effects DO make use of the GPU (Red Giant's Universe, Video Copilot's Element 3d, Mettle's ShapeShifter, etc.), but AE's requirements have no bearing on that and the GTX 970 will work nicely with them.
Also, Premiere makes much use of the GPU so, if you use Premiere, check their requirements.

Lost work on adobe story

I used a school computer to sign up for Adobe Story and began my coursework there. When I tried continuing the work at home, i logged in and it said there was and update, so i accepted the terms. After this my work I had nearly finished has completely disappeared. Can someone help me regain it? Is it possible?

If it was never saved, it's irrevocably gone — it just doesn't exist anywhere any more.

IOS app touch input not working with Adobe AIR

I believe the problem here is my touch input but I'm not positive.
This is my first iOS application. I'm making the game for both Android and iOS and it works perfect on Android, however when I sent it out ot my iPhone testers, they were unable to get past my "Tap to Play" screen.
I'm using mouse events for the touch/click and this is no problem on Android and all of my research says touch events work fine for iPhones as well. Is there another way I should be handling this event?
Below is the code that loads the next swf. Again, it works perfect on PC, and multiple Android devices.

Like stated above, it seems as if iOS doesn't/isn't recognizing the MouseEvent. Why is this?

A major difference is Android supports Flash up to 11.2, so you can be getting away with it for that.
For mobile, there's absolutely no reason not to simply convert to using TouchEvent.

They work almost identical, simple CONST changes between (MOUSE_DOWN is TOUCH_BEGIN, etc).
What MouseEvent doesn't support is gestures, so why would you use an event model with less features like MouseEvent over Touch?

i use google toolbar bookmarks feature with firefox version 3.6.18. will this feature work with version 4 or 5.
i tried updating to version 5 and could not get this feature to work.

Firefox 4 isn't supported any longer.
Google needs to update the Google Toolbar program for Firefox 5.0.
The Google Toolbar '''7.1.20110512W''' version does work pretty good in Firefox 5.0 by using the Compatibility Reporter extension. But not every feature works 100%.<br />

Adobe Story Desktop App - unable to get past login

This problem is not present on all my home computers or laptops which leads me to believe this will be an issue with my computer.
On my 2012 iMac I was recently able to launch, login and work inside Adobe Story Desktop. Last night I went to launch the app and installed both the application and Air update, after that I lunched the desktop app and entered my CC login details, however once I do this the 'signing in' popup appears, then disapears and leaves me at the 'learn more' & 'sign in' screen. I can't get past this.
I have tried uninstalling the desktop app, restarting and reinstalling the app, but this has not solved the problem.
I have opened Story inside Chrome and Firefox on the same computer and have no problems.
I also tried using the desktop app on my laptop this morning and it still works, however I decided not to update both the app and Adobe Air as I was worried this was causing my the problem with the desktop app.
Any help on the matter would be welcomed.

I am assuming that you have remaned the 'com.adobe.adobestory' folder that is present inside 'ELS' folder and you are still facing this issue.
If yes, then please try these steps:
- Quit Adobe Story if it is running.
- Open Finder.
- Press Cmd + Shift + G and press enter after pasting this location: ~/Library/Preferences/
- Open folder 'com.adobe.AdobeStory.**some-random-number**'
- Open folder 'LocalStore' and rename file 'offlineAccountInfoStorage' to something else, e.g. 'offlineAccountInfoStorage12'
- Launch Adobe Story and try to login.

Skip Lines (Enter Key) in Adobe Story AV Scripts

Hello,
I'm working with Adobe Story online (not desktop application). I just began an AV script. My project requires that the visual aspects only come in every once in a while, and I need them to match up with the text they coincide with. I don't know how to do this because neither column allows me to "skip lines" using the enter/return key. After writing one line, I am able to hit enter and go down to the second line, but I can's skip any more lines. I need to be able to skip multiple lines on both sides since this is starting out as more of an outline and will grow into a full script with significantly more text than video/visual information.

The tab button will get me what I want on the Audio side of the script. However, on the visual side, when I hit tab, it takes me back over the the audio side. Please help!

Adobe Story did not download

I downloaded the CS6 Premiere Family on my Macbook Pro and for some reason it skipped over Adobe Story. Has this happened to anyone else? I have CS6 Master Collection education edition subscription and have successfully installed it on my PC desktop.

I recently bought the education version of CS6 Production Premium and it does not contain a desktop version of Adobe Story (though an earlier purchase of After Effects CS5.5 did). I think Adobe's idea, now that the free version of Story has been so crippled - all the collaborative features, reports, etc, seem to have been stopped, presumably to encourage us to take out their vastly overpriced subscription. You might just as well use Celtx (free) or Scrivenor (cheap). I used to share my work on Adobe Story Free with another writer, which I can't do now, so we simply email each other copies of the script as a Celtx file, which we can both open, work on, and email back. Just about as quick and easy.

I had Adobe Acrobat 6.0 Standard on my computer & it was working with Adobe Reader 8, but don't remember what the version it was.
I was using Adobe Acrobat 6.0 Standard to scan very old family pictures & documents & I realize that this version of Acrobat is outdated.
To make a long story short, my computer had crashed, so we built another computer & just replaced the hard drive. When I went to Adobe, I had to download the newer version of Reader 9.0 & it didn't work with Acrobat 6.0., so I removed Adobe Reader 9 & I found Adobe Reader 8.0 & have downloaded the patches, so now I have Adobe Reader 8.2.4 back on board.

Adobe doesn't recommend any version of Reader with any version of Acrobat on Windows. It will cause problems. It just is a matter of how and when. The problem has to do with shared resources causing conflicts. If you have Acrobat 8, you can update it to Acrobat 8.2.4. You must apply the updates sequentially.

Adobe Story Will Not Update

Hello.
I have been trying for the longest time to get back on to Adobe Story to continue working on a screenplay I am writing. But all I ever get when clicking on it is that it insists on updating. After it does that, Adobe Air says it's preparing to start loading then stops and a warning pops up, saying "Sorry, and error has occured. This application cannot be installed because this installer has been misconfigured. Please contact the application author for assistance."
When I click the CLOSE button, the whole thing starts over from the beginning: Adobe Story installs an update, Adobe Air pops up and loads something, then stops and the warning shows up. Then it repeats AGAIN. I once spent several hours on this with no change. What is this?
I noticed in the discussion forums that others are having problems on this. I don't want to delete Adobe Story because I do have a screenplay already in the works and am afraid it will all get deleted. This is not an option for me, that cannot happen. I also do not have the foggiest idea when I downloaded Story in the first place, so I can't be sure if it was before all the new updates or not. Although I thought it was, maybe it wasn't.
I need help on this severly. Please, please, please help me not lose my work. How do I get passed this?

Thank you but, since I did that when I try to sign in it says "ERROR: Sorry, your Story free subscription does not allow access to this application. Please upgrade your subscription." Then my options below are cancel or upgrade now. I don't want to upgrade. And I still don't know if my script is still there or not. A lot of times I've had to work on it offline. Even though I saved it, has it been deleted? Please tell me it hasn't been. I log on to my account on the adobe sight and all my work is gone. Same with the app version.
What do I do now? I've never had this problem before and it's a little frustrating, off putting and scary. (Scary as in I've lost all my work.)

Adobe Story not compatible with Google Chrome. Why?

Google Chrome is my preferred web browser, but, alas, I realized that Adobe Story won't open in Chrome. So I'm now having to use two different browsers (Firefox and Chrome), one for general surfing the web and another just to use Story.
Is there a specific reason Story doesn't support Chrome, or has support for it just not been added yet?
Granted, this is hardly going to cause me to stop using Story, it's a great product after all, but it would be nice to be able to only use one browser.

It's also the fastest growing browser so I think you should not look for reasons to do it 'eventually', but ask yourself what prevents you from doing it now. Given that Story is an experimental product, you can guess that a lot of Story users run other new or experimental software, such as Chrome.
Getting a new visitor to stay on your page for more than 30 seconds is job #1 for web-centric apps, not job #100...do you think rejecting 7% of first-time page visitors is a good idea?

Photoshop Elements.

Will dropped Adobe Air support affect Adobe Story on Linux?

I use Ubuntu 11.04 on my notebook and use it heavily when writing (absolutely love Story by the way). I have read that Adobe is dropping Air support for Linux. Will the Adobe Story Desktop Client fail to work when a new version of Adobe Air comes out? I'm wondering about the long term.
