Will google list a splash page made within another website in iWeb?

I've tried submitting a website to google multiple times but they aren't picking it up/listing it. I'm wondering if that is because it is set up as a splash page within another website. I'm trying to get nateweldon.com listed, but it is built within the seaserpentrecords.com website I made in iWeb. It is a hidden page I've set up within seaserpentrecords.com to save money on hosting. Any tips to make nateweldon.com searchable in google?

Where do you publish your website - MobileMe or another server?
Are you using masking to forward the domain name - nateweldon.com ?
Splash pages and masking are two of the things to be avoided with SEO.
If you have only one root folder on your server you need to publish the nateweldon site as a sub site with its own folder so that its URL is...

Yes you can do that. You can either merge the two Domain.sites files into one with iWebSites or use them independently by renaming one of the to SiteName.sites and then use iWebSites to open them independently and publish independently.
I use iWebSites to manage multiple sites.. It lets me create multiple sites and multiple domain files.
If you have multiple sites in one domain file here's the workflow I used to split them into individual site files with iWebSites. Be sure to make a backup copy of your original Domain.sites files before starting the splitting process.
This lets me edit several sites and only republish the one I want.

Possibly because dropbox is not really a proper webhost - it might be better if you went and signed up for proper web hosting from somewhere like http://www.godaddy.com or http://www.hostexcellence.com.
Have you told Google that you site exists? If not, then you need to do so - http://www.google.com/addurl.

Calling a page process within another page process??? Is it possible?

Hello guys! Just a quick question. I got two pl/sql processes on a page and would like to call process one within process2.
Is it possible and how do I reference process 1? Should I just call it like a procedure?

You can make the second process conditional and run it that way:
1. your first process has a lower sequence and after a successfull completion it will set an hidden page item to a certain value
2. your second proccess will have a higher sequence and will run only if the first one was completed successfully

Editing Client's iWeb pages made by another Mac user

So I'm doing this for a client and assumed I'd be able to import the web pages someone else did on their Mac, on their iWeb into my Mac and my iWeb program. If I could do that, it would be easy.
Problem is it doesn't look like Apple wants people working on other people's iWeb pages. There is no open file, open folder, or import functionality that I can see. And of course always the path of least resistance is to publish it to your own .Mac.
I imported it into Dreamweaver but that seems to be like importing ImageReady web pages. They don't see eye to eye and it becomes a mess without trying too hard because I don't know all the code. Of course if I knew how to code myself like a bat out of ****, this would all be so simple, right? Then there is the idea of what will happen if the other mac user comes back to change or overwrite the work done outside of iWeb.

Of course you can edit an iWeb site created on a Mac on your Mac. You don't do it by importing however. All you need is a copy of their domain.sites file, where all the data is stored and you can easily edit it. Make a copy from User/Library/Application Support/iWeb and place the copy in the same place on your Mac and you will be able to edit away and then re-publish.
iWeb is not an html editor so cannot import, but if you have the domain.sites file you can do it.

You can't import html code into iweb domain package.
iweb can't even import its own generated html code, therefore it will not be able to import html code created by other programs.
That said, you can:
1) rebuild your older site by copy and paste your old site into iweb.
2) start new iweb project and link to the older site, using hyperlink.
now last and not really easy nor simple is to have javascript transforms the old page in to new iweb format. I'd done this over a year ago, I know it works with Safari, so stick with Safari when you want to see:

Importing existing site made in another app into iWeb

Hi,
Is it possible to import to iWeb a site created in RapidWeaver? Or, at somehow have any new iWeb site I do, and keep the work I did the in RW online.
I don't necessarily need to edit it, but I'd like to keep that RW site intact and available.

No; iWeb cannot import existing sites. If you have the HTML and other files from RapidWeaver, store them on your hard disk, and then use iWeb to publish to a folder, posting those pages as desired.

Best Export Settings For A Splash Page?

Hello. I'm creating a splash page for my website, and I've
created a very shot animation. It looks great in Flash, but I need
to know what are the best settings to use in Adobe Flash to keep
the quality nice and clear. I tried the default and exported it as
a movie, but the resulting animation was very choppy and pixelated.
Does anyone know how I can keep this from happening so that I will
have a nice splash page? Any help would be appreciated.

Navigation problems within my website folders

Here's my problem... I created folders within the main folder for my website on dreamweaver in order to eliminate the ".html" at the end of some of the page links within my website. So Before where it would say www.ybcreations.com/ybyoga.html it now says www.ybcreations.com/ybyoga. It just looks nicer and cleaner. But here is the problem, I have a menu that pops up for each and every page that is the same for each and every page including the main page and when you are within the link www.ybcreations.com/ybyoga, and click in the menu to be renavigated to, say, the energy work page, it then generates in the browser as www.ybcreations.com/ybyoga/energywork instead of www.ybcreations.com/energywork. I'm trying to figure out how to fix this but so far I am hittind dead ends. i know there has to be a way. If you can help please follow the same direction i stated above.

then roll the mouse over where it says "Kundalini Yoga" underneath the "Special Events" tab. Click on Kundalini yoga.
From there hover over the "Special Events" tab again and click on "Energy Work", and see what happens.
ybyoga and energywork are the only pages that i've created special folders for to eliminate the ".html" at the moment. But I want to make this for all of the pages.

You made this bed by over complicating your site. Simple solution, take your pages out of sub-folders. Nobody but you cares about the .html extensions. IMO, it's a very poor reason for using sub-folders.

Presently, you must be using document relative link paths. Either switch to Site Root Relative links which will likely work on your remote server but fail to test locally. Or use absolute URLs (http://). The downside with this is that DW won't be able to manage links for you.

Here is my scenario-
I am browsing, and let's say, I'm on Google. I look up "albatross novels." I get 6 hits. I look at the list, and I pick one of them. I double-click on it, and away we go. My current Google search page is REPLACED by the selected "albatross" site. But it's not exactly what I want. So now I click the BACK ARROW to go back to the Google page, to look at the other 'albatross" hits. And now I find another site, replacing my Google page when I open it......And THAT site takes me to another site, and another, and yet another......But then I realize that the first site WAS the best one. Now I have to hit the back button 15 times and probably NOT reach the Google page from which I started.
But if I could have the new pages open in a new tab, then I could go back and forth between all the pages without worrying about the back button.
I am sure that this is just a setting change somewhere, but I can't find it....I do have it on my work computer.

The first time I feel disapointing from apple software.

When I first set up my tabs, I had google's "first" page saved as a tab. I somehow erased it, and now I can't get it back. It will only save a "search" page.

I have Google as my home page, and I like the "tiles", when I open a new tab. The first "tile", I pinned as Google's home page. so I can quickly, and easily copy (say, a celebrities name), hit tab hit Google and paste.
Now , I have lost the Google home page, and can;t get it back, as a tile. I don't want to change the tabs setting to go straight to Google every time, because I use the other tiles too.
I know it sounds petty, but i got quite used to having that,(and I know I can use bookmarks), but that is much more troublesome for my shaky hands than some people realize.

All you need to do is open a new tab, go to the last tile space at the bottom right of the page and, if it's used, click on the little X at the top right of the tile. Click until the space is empty. You may have to close several tiles before the space becomes empty.
Next, go to the address bar and type in google. The full address should pop up. Hit enter to go to the page. If you have to, type in the full address of google.com and hit enter. When the page loads, (and I'm assuming here that you have your browser set to remember your tabs when you re-open the window - if not see further instructions below), close the browser window. If a warning message pops up that "You are about to close ? many tabs" (where there is a question mark there will be a number), click OK.
Wait 5-10 seconds for the program to completely end and then open your browser again. When you open a new tab, you'll see the Google tile in the bottom right of the tile matrix. Click and drag it to whichever space you want it in and then click the little pin in the top left of the tile.
Voila! You should have your Google tile back. I too suffer from unsteady hands and can relate to hating bookmarks. However, you should be able to search for whatever you want to with the search in the address bar.

You can get the drop down list by either right-clicking on the back/forward buttons, or holding down the left button until the list appears.
