Will HP pavillion p6-2260ea support dual monitors

I just bought a HP pavillion p6-2260ea (i3 processor). There are 2 DVI ports on the back - 1 DVI I and 1 DVI D. Will this PC support dual monitors?
I have tried connecting 2 monitors using 2 DVI to VGA adaptors (1 DVI-I to VGA and 1 DVI-D to VGA) but only one monitor is being recognised.

Here are the specs for your HP Pavilion p6-2260ea Desktop Computer. According to the specs, your computer has one DVI-D (digital only <DVI>) output and one DVI-I (digital <DVI> and analog <VGA via adapter>) output as shown below;
(#3) DVI-D (digital only)     (#4) DVI-I (digital and analog <VGA via adapter>)
Your computer will work with two digital monitors, or one digital monitor and one analog VGA monitor but not with two analog VGA monitors.
Please provide the brand and model numbers of the monitors you are trying to connect to your computer for more assistance with this issue.

  • Need videocard that supports dual monitors and Rotation -for PowerMac G5

I'm looking for a videocard that supports dual monitors and Rotation for PowerMac G5. I've got two Dell 2407WFP monitors rotated to 90 -I've been running an ATI Radeon X1900 256 pcie16 but apparently it is over heating -not even exactly sure if that indeed is the case but all the symptoms I've looked up online point to this problem. Anyways -just looking for a card that will do the job -I don't run games -this is just for work machine doing photoshop and related programs. Thanks for any help anyone may have!

    Hi-
A flashed card is a WinPC card that has been modified to accept a Mac ROM to provide for Mac compatibility.
Occasionally, soldering and other physical modifications are required.
Without this modification, a WinPC graphics card cannot be used in a MAc.
Without this modification, Mac users are limited to only a handful of used, OEM options.
The Geforce 7800 GS is the only 7800 card that may be used in a G5 (or G4).
The card must have been or be converted to Mac compatibility.
For dual monitors (DVI) the best performance choices are the Geforce 6800 Ultra (flashed or OEM), a rare, but occasionally available Geforce 6800 GT (flashed), an OEM Radeon X800XT (use ADC/DVI adapter on ADC port) a rare and expensive Radeon FireGL X800 (flashed).
These are the only performance oriented cards to offer dual digital display support.
For less demanding graphics work, an OEM Radeon 9650 offers dual digital output.
Other OEM graphics cards will have either DVI/DVI or ADC/DVI.
All OEM graphics cards are only available as used.
All cards are easiest to obtain on eBay.
Prices vary, but deals can be found.
Expect to pay $150-$325 for any of the cards listed.
Any card considered MUST be stated as Mac compatible, unless you are willing to research and learn how to perform the necessary modifications.

  • Any MSI card support dual monitor?

    hi,
just wanna get a Geforce4 FX5600, but wonder if it supports dual monitor, or some other series support this. can I just connect one monitor using the VGA port ad 1 thru the DVI port? will that work? and split the screen as dual monitor function?
    thanks for your time

nView is the keyword to look for. The card should have at least one DVI and one VGA, or two VGA or two DVI.
Go to the product info page and search for the keyword "nView".

  • Do mini's support dual monitors?

Do mini's support dual monitors? If yes, how are they connected.

Yes. It depends upon the the model Mini you have, The current ones have to video outs.
    - Thunderbolt. You can use a MiniDisplay Port to VGA or MiniDisplay Port to DVI adopter if you do not want to get a Thunderbolt monitor.
    - HDMI. The Min comes with a HDMI to DVI adopter. The HDMI port to not support a HDMI to VGA adopter.

  • Will my HP-6640f pc support 2 monitors?

    Not too computer saavy here.
Will my HP-6640f pc support 2 monitors as is, or will I need additional hardware? The current 22" dell monitor is connected to the tower via a VGA connection. Right next to the VGA is a DVI port. Is this where I plug in the 2nd monitor? Thanks!

Resolution...yours is 1680 x 1050. If you go with a full HD (1920 x 1080) everything will seem smaller but obviously more of the web page or document or whatever you are looking at will be on the screen. I use a 1920 x 1080 as the primary monitor and then extend the desktop onto a 1680 x 1050 where I just keep my Outlook email open all day. Everything else I do on the full HD monitor. Works well for me. Here is HP's current 22 inch offering in full HD:

    It has a DVI input.

  • Simplest way to support dual monitor with HP 2570P

    Hi,
I would like to be able to use my dual monitors with my HP 2570P. I do not yet have a docking station.
What is the simplest way to support dual monitor display with my  HP 2570P ?
I'm not looking for mirror i am looking for an extended desktop. I can live with out the laptop display if required.
I know there was a previous post about the 2540 but I'm not sure if the outcome applied to 2570p too.
    thanks
    Richard.

There is no truly simple way except use of a docking station.
You can use the VGA port or the display port. None of the manuals I have seen assert that you can use them both simultaneously.
There is no a previous post about the 2540 in regards to using a dual external display setup in the forum that I have seen.

  • Does Photoshop CC support dual monitors

I just got off a chat with PS CC support. Since the latest update I have to click several times on photos edited in Camera Raw before they open in PS. The support person tells me that Adobe does not recommend the use of dual monitors. I have been using dual monitors for over 5 years, my computer has plenty of horsepower and every photographer or designer I know uses at least two monitors and sometimes more. It seems ridiculoyus to me that Adobe would say this. Has anyone else run into this concern? Thanx
    Jim Cummings.

Jim, can you correlate the delay with anything other than Photoshop/Bridge?  What drive is the Bridge cache saving to?  What drive is Photoshop's primary scratch space assigned to?   I'm wondering if those drives are needing to wake up from sleep mode.
If this is happening with previously processed RAW files, could it be to do with their Sidecar files?  Do virgin RAW files open OK?  You could try converting to DNG perhaps.  John Nack blogged about saving a ton of drive space converting all his RAW files to DNG a few days ago.  Whoops!  I just checked and it was to do with Lightroom

What's you internet connection like, and are you using Sync Settings?  Have you installed any new fonts?

  • Does yosemite support dual monitors

I had dual monitors with Mavericks and prior, can't get it to support a second one now.
Used both HDMI and MiniHd connections?

Just what two monitors (e.g. resolution) do you have and how (what monitor inputs and adopters are used) are the connected.
    What model Mini?

  • Will E31 quadro 600 card support 2 monitors?

I am planning to order an E31 sff, and I am wondering if the quadro 600 video card on E31 sff can support 2 monitors. The spec says the card has two connnectors, but didn't say whether it can support 2 monitors.
Also, I am planning to put a samsung 840 pro ssd into the E31 sff. Is there any compatibility problems?

Historically you'd see better performance by spreading the memory out to utilize all the channels...so in the case of E31 (which I believe has 4 slots...2 channels populated at 2 DIMMs per channel), you'd probably be better off with the 2x4GB config.
It's been a while since I looked at performance data for this scenario, but even back then the performance difference was on the order of maybe 1-3% benefit.  I'd be willing to bet most users wouldn't notice that difference in either direction.
If you want to save some cash, no issues going with the 2x4GB config.  If you had fewer slots on the board, it could be a concern for future upgrades/expandability, but you should be fine.

  • Supporting dual monitors

Can I support two monitors on my iMac (1GHz G4, 15"), with the second of which running in conjunction with the first one, and not mirroring? I just inherited a new monitor (VGA) and I want to it hook up, but don't really see any use to having it mirror my main screen. Is there anything that I could do in order to support the second screen w/o having it mirror?

    hey there Parker,
i've used it successfully on my 17" 1GHz FP(G4) & an iMac 1.9GHz iSight(G5), w/ no problems. the G4 now goes into either an S-Video port or a VGA port on a 17" WS LCD & the G5(@ a buddy's) goes into a video port on a 13" TV. if your Mac is on the support list it should be fine.
    good luck.

  • Macbook Pro late 2011 with Thounderbolt, will it support dual monitors display?

I have recently working on this Macbook pro, and wasn't able to find accurate information about the dual display solution for this MACBOOKPRO model.
    It has thunderbold port.
Have anyone happen to have this model and successfully connected with two conventional monitors?
Conventional monitors I mean, VGA, HDMI, or DVI.
    Thank you.

    Hi O,
According to MacTracker, the answer is a clear no for the 13" and yes for the 15" and 17".
