Will I ever receive the money owed to me?

This has become a complete nightmare.  Back in October I ordered some phones per the advice of a vz sales rep.  Long story short, that was a huge mistake.  When I discovered this and received the phones, I simply put them right back in the mail.  After I went to get new shipping labels at a vz store, that is.  Note that I didnt open any if the 3 boxes of the phones. I called customer service,  said there was a misunderstanding,  and they agreed that they had given me the wrong info. I told them I was returning the phones.  This was the end of October.   I watched fedex relentlessly.   I also talked to vz a couple times to make surethey knew what was going on. They assured me that they were on board and would call me on Wednesday the 30th to shut diwn the lines when the phones were received.  They didn't call.  When I saw that the phones were where they were supposed to be via fedex, I called vz.  They said they weren't in the system yet.  I was beginning to get upset at this point. I called back a couple days later. Mind you that I have to explain this entire situation over again every time I call.  Every time I talk yo someone, they are very willing to help, but nothing ever happens.  Eventually they find two phones.  I am only credited for one. No explanation why. I get a ticket number about the third phone and have to call back again.  They find the third phone.  I still have not been credited for these two phones.  They are over $200 each.  Also one of the lines is still connected.  How and why is that happening? Why were any lines connected in the first place? I never even opened the boxes let alone activated the phones! Andnow my hill isvover $650 for these libes that I didn't want for aftivation fees, line feex, data packages and a month in advance fees! This is outrageous! The last guy I talked to was a guy named Justin and he seemed very sincere.  Seemed is the key word.  I once again explained my story, he was apologetic,  and assured me that everything would be straightened out by the 18th. Well, its the 26th and its still the same.  He told me that the lines would be dropped, the fees, and charges would be credited and everything would be settled.  I asked him to repeat it to me because I had been given so many promises before that I wasn't sure if I could believe him.  He said that he understood and was happy to go over it again.  Yet here I am again, still no money received and with a whopping bill.  If this isn't resolved soon, l'll have to go to the regional manager or straight to court.Ii am a very patient person, but now I am just angry.

Well, this forum really isn't an official verizon customer service operation. That's what I meant. You have already tried and got very little result. File a BBB complaint against verizon and you will get a call quickly.

    You'll have to do it by process of elimination. Sign into the iTunes Store through the App Store app, go to the Purchased section, and look at the list of apps purchased through your own Apple ID. Anything on your iPhone not in that list isn't yours and should be deleted. The same process would apply to content from the iTunes Store.
    Or you can just restore the iPhone from your most recent backup and then redownload everything from the iTunes Store. But if you have a lot of apps or content, that obviously wlll be slow.
    I updated my iphone by his ID , is it still problem?
    That's probably how you got your friend's purchases. It won't be an issue for iOS, but it is an issue for those apps and content.

    I created a new apple ID because I was getting so many unwanted messages from group chats, so I created a new apple ID and gave it to only those who I wished to receive messages from. However when I sign into my old apple ID again will I have all the messages that they may of put me in?

    Most carriers only store or buffer SMS/MMS messages for 72hrs.  Beyond that those messages simply disappear.
    Why would installing the SIM card show missed calls?  What missed the call?  The only thing that shows missed calls is the phone because it actually rang and was not answered.
    As Brad805 suggested, put the SIM card in the device.

    The youTube App is gone because Apple's license to use it has expired.
    YouTube is still accessible on the iPad via Safari (or any other browser) at http://m.youtube.com/
    Sign in at this site and your favorites, etc. will still be present. Save the site icon to the iPad Home screen and you will have a replacement for the youTube App.
    There is also an iPhone youTube App in the App Store which works on the iPad as well as the Jasmine App.

  • Will Creative Ever Support The 6.1 Speaker Setup In Vista?

    The subject line says it all. I'm disappointed that I have a 6. speaker setup with my X-Fi card that worked great in Windows XP, even the x64 edition. Now since I've updated to Vista, the rear center speaker is no longer enabled. I know the current driver set has a note on this, but just wondering if we will ever get 6. surround support again.

This means that (barring some bizzare workaround/emulation effort by Creative), you won't see 6.1 in Vista no matter what sound card/onboard chip you use. It's not up to Creative. Sorry. Microsoft could re-introduce 6.1 with a Vista update. I don't know if it's feasible to do so, but I wouldn't expect anything till Service Pack , as my guess is that would require some major sound architecture changes.

    There are lots of other threads about specific issues. I want to ask the über questions ...
    There seems to be a plague of nightmares with Mail.app and/or Address Book under 10.6. I'm continuing to get the duplication issues when using POP. Someone suggested switching to IMAP, so I tried that ... only to find that Mail's dysfunctionality with IMAP made the POP issues look minor! Mail made such a hash of my e-mail on IMAP that I simply can't afford to stick with it for long enough to try out the range of possible fixes. (And I tried heaps of them a month ago in 10.6.2, with no success.) I could list off some examples, but I don't know where to start. It's simply flat broken as far as I can tell. My experience of using Mail pre-SL was just first class - and it can't have remained consistently blocks ahead in popularity over every other mac e-mail client, for nothing.
    Does anyone have any idea whether Apple are really on top of the issue. We're now at 10.6.3, and nothing seems to have changed in my experience. Every OS update has mentioned various improvements to Mail in the release notes, so they're obviously working on Mail in some way. But all I know is that I've now had several months of tedious workarounds several times a day, just to deal with my e-mail. I have a bunch of Applescript-based functions that I rely on for organising my e-mail, and it would take me an age to reconfigure all that for another client. And wouldn't you think that Apple's own built-in client would be the last one to have these kinds of issues?
    Frustrating .. infuriating .. all the words have been used before. Are we going to see an end to this? .. Does anyone have any clues that it will actually be fixed??!!

    OK, well let's just agree to disagree on the question of whether I'm merely ranting or not. Here are the specifics ...
    Background
    I have 3 accounts:
    • my main one with Mail.com, which has recently switched to using the AOL servers (so it could be described as an AOL account +in effect+ ). I use this for nearly everything.
    • my ISP e-mail account with OptusNet (Australia)
    • a Gmail account, which I basically use for spam reporting
    I've had the former two unchanged for 10 years, and I added the Gmail one about 4 years ago.
    Until just the past month I've only ever used POP for all these accounts. It's worked largely flawlessly for years through successive OSX versions, starting from 10.2.
    I began trying out IMAP a month ago at a friend's suggestion, with the Mail.com & Optusnet accounts but not the Gmail. I haven't seriously used IMAP so don't know a lot about it. Tried it twice in the past few weeks, both times with bad results - so switched back to POP. Having finally figured out what IMAP is and does, I would like to use it in future, rather than POP. But it's not a functional possibility just now (due to the issues I'm raising here ... )
    _E-mail software_
    I use a combination of Mail.app, Purify (for spam filtering & reporting) & a bunch of Applescripts that link the two. I've been using that combination at least since 10.4 days - again largely flawlessly. In the most recent versions of Purify incoming mail is processed as follows: Get Messages with Mail.app >> a rule triggers an Applescript >> the script sends the message(s) to Purify >> Purify rates them as HAM or SPAM >> the script sends spams to junk box.
    I've only ever had Mail configured to delete downloaded messages from server immediately.
    _Developments since installing 10.6_
    POP
    As soon as I upgraded to 10.6.0 I (along with a sizeable minority of others) began getting huge numbers of duplicate messages. In my case it happened with the Mail.com & Optusnet accounts, but never the Gmail. It happened with all spam and many ham messages, seemingly randomly.
    Attempted solutions:
    • restart Mail
    • restart computer
    • repair permissions
    • rebuild mailboxes
    • delete and recreate POP accounts
    • delete file "MessageUidsAlreadyDownloaded3" (including an Automator script to do this every hour)
    • trash file "com.apple.mail.plist" and re-configure settings
    .... Some of these made no difference at all. Others would fix the issue for up to a day, but then it would be back.
    Eventually, with help from this forum, I identified the best workaround:
    • after every mail download, select "Get account info" for each account
    • select any messages already-downloaded (but still on the server with blue dots beside them)
    • click button "remove from server"
    ... Works, but very tedious
    Then came 10.6.2 ... After that, a lot of (but still not all) other people seemed to have the issue resolved. That was not my experience. However I did note that it now happened exclusively with messages rated by Purify as spam (and therefore moved to the junk box). Still with Mail.com & Optusnet accounts, and still not with Gmail. The same continues now with 10.6.3 - no change.
    IMAP
    As I said above, I just started trying out IMAP at a friend's suggestion. But it just hasn't worked at all, so both times I've reverted back to POP very quickly. I tried it once about a month ago, and once again just yesterday after the 10.6.3 update. From a bit of googling, it does appear a lot of other folks are having big issues with IMAP since moving to 10.6. My particular issues:
    • horrendously slow processing, with beachballing and resulting need to force quit
    • Applescript timeouts attempting to run Purify filtering
    • new messages disappearing entirely
    • taking forever to rebuild mailboxes (and still not right when done)
    • mailboxes out of sync with server ( e.g. 'good' messages appearing in inbox in webmail, but in junkbox in Mail)
    ... In short, totally unuseable (and that's not an exaggeration)

    There is not CDMA. Unless Samsung makes a CDMA variant and strikes a deal with Verizon it isn't happening. Well VoLTE can fix the issue however it doesn't support the 700 and 1700/2100(AWS) bands for LTE.
    WCDMA is UMTS(GSM) and not CDMA don't confuse them.

    First i would like to say i have posted this message yesterday but stuck it on a 'solved' post (not realizing until after) that got solved 2 weeks ago so thought it was more appropriate to start a new thread
    I used to be a regular poster last Year on the old BT forums and the likes of Jarviser would most likely remember me
    Basically where i live at the moment is right on the edge of where the telephone exchange covers thus making it next to impossible picking anything more than 5meg up, thats on adsl2+ AND with my SNR set to 3.
    My current exchange is SIDCUP and its on the list to be Fibre upgraded. I belive its on Phase 2.
    Could you tell me whether firstly i will be able to get fibre because as i said im right on the verge of the exchange, i belive im the 2nd to last house on my road that picks up the SIDCUP exchange.
    Secondly, is there any way of providing me with a timeframe or any sort of schedule or anything about the rollout of the SIDCUP exchange.

    Thats the thing, i dont have a local green cabinet. All around where i live BT do overhead cabling. Even 95% of Virgin Media cabling ive seen are done underground as they are labelled "CATV" which after googling this, it comes back relating to Virgin.
    Ive seen the odd few BT Openreach vans right next to the SIDCUP exchange lately on the way to work which looks like they was laying the fibre ducts (long yellow tubes) but i live a good 2miles away from my exchange.
    This may sound stupid, but will EVERYONE on the SIDCUP exchange get the fibre because as i said in the first post im on the very very verge of the exchange before it switches to the CRAYFORD exchange which ISNT on the list.
    Its only a matter of time i guess before we receive it but im so eager to get the new fibre because we are soo used to getting slow speeds.
    As for the BT Infinity, when it service came available a couple of weeks back, i used their checker and ive tried entering post codes, address's, phone numbers and all different type of combinations for my house but it only says i can get BT Total Broadband at 3.5meg. Weirdly enough by entering an address about 200 yards up the road it appears on there as "BT Infinity Coming Soon" but my address nothing
    Ive read somewhere too about SIDCUP will be upgraded to PSTN Q1 2010 but havent a clue what this is

  • Will apple ever acknowledge the issue with premature failure of iphone5 batteries? A lot of people have problems with them dying at random percentages. Mine just died at 33% restarted it now I've been at 1% with non stop use for over an hour!

    My battery has been acting ridiculous on my phone. It shuts down at random percentages ranging from 60% down. I'll be using it with plenty of battery life left on the meter then I get the ring of death and it'll show a dead battery icon wanting charged. At this point I either have to plug it in or I have discovered I can hold down the home and lock button for a minute and it'll come back on still showing plenty of charge. I've read a lot of people have this issue. I've seen the recommendation of re calibrating the battery by fully draining and charging multiple times. I've done that with no results. I've also tried the recommendation of resetting the phone and doing a full restore which also doesn't work.
    I believe it's either a sub standard battery or possible a software or other hardware issue.
    Has anyone ever gotten apple to admit the Iphone5 battery has issue?
    I have 9 total apple devices in my household as far back as second gen iPod touch. All of my devices still hold power like new except my iPhone5.

    I had to reinstall my Itunes account and after installing received this error: This application has failed to start because MSVCR80.dll was not found.  Reinstalling the application may fix the problem.
    The other error message that displayed after I tried to reinstall it was "Itunes was not installed correctly.  Please reinstall Itunes Error 7 (Windows error 126).
    Any assistance with correcting this matter is greatly appreciated.  My ipod is fine, I just need to reinstall Itunes on my computer.

  • Will Apple ever support the µFT-System (G1, GH1, GF1, E-P1, E-P2)?

    It seems like Apple is ignoring the Micro-FourThird System for more than one year now - even the Panasonic G1's RAW-Format, the first of all µFT-cameras isn't supporte bei Apple! This is quite scandalous because this system is so well-accepted by the photographers' community that even the manufactures are overrun by the demand and you've to wait to get some. I would not say that µFT changes the market for photographic gear but what we could see is that its obviously filling a long-opened gap between the bridge-cameras with their small noisy sensors and the heavy and bulky SLRs. With a small lens attached µFT bodies like the PEN or GF1 still fit into a jacket's pocket but offering a nearly SLR-quality and the flexibility of interchangeable lenses and the short FFD makes µFT camera bodies as flexible to adopt other lens types as no other interchangeable lens system.
    I don't want to blame other camera concepts - what I want to point out is that µFT is a smart niche as is the Mac, too. A lot of people who think smart buy a Mac and a lot of smart photographers bought µFT equipment in the last year. Every Mac (except for the servers) comes with a really great software setup to make amateur photographers happy and for less than 200 € they can go professional with buying Aperture. Of course, they also could buy Lightroom instead, but that's only half as smart - no system-wide RAW preview, no easy integration into iLife, iWeb, MobileMe etc.
    +Come on, Apple - are you blind and deaf? Listen and see what your customers demand - a smart support for a smart camera system in their favorite OS!+

    You will not get a reply, but at least you have submitted your information/request in a more useful manner than posting in these Forums.
    I don't think the OP was addressing an issue with Apple engineers, so the feedback route was not relevant. Whether it is more useful to submit requests via that route remains to be seen - I'm sure plenty of people have requested that their MFT camera be supported, and the response has been zilch.
    At this point it seems just as valuable to do something useless but therapeutic as it is to send blind messages to /dev/null at apple.com.
