Well Apple is now using Microsoft's business model of launching new platforms before they work. iOS 7 is a disaster on many levels; i. e. many functions as basic as blue tooth no longer function, Evernote app problems, UGLY, and no easy solutions to anything. It makes me wish I had NOT singed a contract on a iPhone 5. How can I get rid of the new iOS 7 without loosing data? When I read the forums it seems way too complicated and there are horror stories about lost data which I cannot afford to do. What a mess you guys are making of the Apple brand and reputation.

You cannot downgrade the OS without breaking the system and your warranty. Period. That's the way the cookie crumbles and the way it will crumble until Apple says otherwise. So, like all of us users, either learn how the new system works and how to do things in this new World Order, or use your freedom to move on to another platform.

You can delete that backup. You won't lose anything, as it's from an old iPhone and you are not taking files from that backup because your iPhone is being backed up to a different backup

Will i loose data, in outlook mails when i upgrade from OS X 10.9.5 to Yosemite

i am using a mac pro late 2013 version. at presen have os x 10.9.5, looking forward to update to OS yosemite. i am afraid that i would loose my data in my computer, especially will my outlook mails will be deleted . need to know wether we will loose data while upgrading the OS.

A few users have reported data loss while upgrading Mac OSX or even after updating Office. So, the best practice would be to export all email data in OLM format using outlook and also to save a copy of Microsoft User Data folder with Main Identity at a separate location such as a portable Hard drive and then only update the Mac OSX or outlook. This way if you face any issues, you have an option to go back to mavericks and get the things working exactly as they are now or alternately recover emails from the backup if you wish to stay on new OS.
I also upgraded to Yosemite and lost many outlook files and folders. I did not had any backups and was stuck completely. I researched and came to know that outlook stores messages in olk14 format. Then, I looked online for olk14 message recovery as I had some very important emails downloaded in outlook and didn't expect it to stop functioning by just upgrading Mac OSX. However, at a later stage I was able to recover messages from olk14 format. Though it costed a bit, but I was happy to get my email messages back.

If I update to new Firefox Synch, will I loose data in Firefox for Android?

My laptop was recently stolen, it had Firefox with the old version of Synch. I still have my Android with Firefox and Synch set up. On my new laptop, I am not able to synch my bookmarks and data because it has the new version of Firefox Synch. If I go through the process of disconnecting Synch accounts and re-synching my data between browsers as directed in support solutions, will I loose the data that is still in my Firefox for Android? How can I recover my data from the old Synch account so that my Firefox data is restored on my new laptop?

The instructions that you refer to say "in order to create a Firefox account and sign in to the new Sync you'll have to unlink all of your current devices from the old version of Sync." If I set it up with the same email address as before, will it maintain the original data (bookmarks, etc) and Synch all of that on all the devices?

If my time machine is full and it deletes backups to free up space does it mean i will eventually loose data

I have been backing up my hard drive with a external hard drive as atime machine
the last time i backed up time machine said that it had deleted the oldest backup to make more space for newer ones .
I looked back through the various back ups i have made and found that all my vidoes that i had taken off my computor and put on my external hard drive were only on the earlest backups
my question is if the earliest backups are deleted to make space will i eventually loose all my videos - if so is there a way to avoid data being lost

You may not need to do anything; Time Machine ordinarily deletes your oldest backups automatically when it needs room for new ones. The orange light is completely separate and independent from that.
Are both Macs getting backed-up regularly? Check via Time Machine Preferences > Options.
How much data is on each of your Macs, and how large is your TC?
I do have an old 500gb hard drive. Can i re format this and piggy back it to the time capsule to give me 1.5 tb?
No. Time Machine backups can't "span" multiple drives.
But if there really isn't enough space, you could connect that drive to your Time Capsule's USB port and back up one of the Macs to it, instead.

IOS 5 to iOS 6 - will i loose data on my iPhone?

I am planning for an official upgrade from iOS 5 to iOS 6, so wondering if i loose my messages and other data from my iPhone. I am not in a position to backup my iPhone as the iTunes is not recognizing my phone, it prompts me to format my phone to factory settings. Not sure why..

Will I lose data if I delete then reinstall the app

The app I have problem with is Find My Friends.
I updated my phone (iphone 4) just a week ago to the newest version. After the update, Find My Friends worked as usual. But just 2 days ago when I was trying to launch the app and typed in my password, the app suddenly quit. I tried to restart the phone but the app just never work again :s
Some people say delete the app and reinstall it. But I am afraid I have to send request to everyone again! (I installed the app on my BF phone without him knowing.)
Please help! I need it work again! And I don't want to send requests again!

I have a user form. The date, user and document no will be automatically updated when the form is loaded. But suddenly when i click the navigation menu to go to previous or last record, It shows the following error msg.
"Changes will cause the data to be deleted? Click OK to continue"
I want to prevent this message.
The system forms are not showing these kind of messages.But the user forms are only showing.
Can any one help on this?

You can force to change the form mode with
oform.Mode=SAPbouiCOM.BoFormMode.fm_OK_MODE
But I suggest that, when initially open, the form is in Find mode/OK mode. The filling of Date, number and user, you do it after the first time a user input anything on the form.
This way you avoid that system message.

Normally when you update a device no data is lost and that includes games. But there are times when things go wrong. I suggest you make an encrypted backup through atones before updating. That way if something does go awry you can recover everything from that backup.
Start the latest version of iTunes on your computer and connect your iPhone. Select your iPhone in the devices button at the top of the iTunes screen. Select the encrypted backup choice under the General tab. Be sure to remember the back up password. Once you have completed the backup you can remain connected to iTunes and do the update.

I have an iPad 2 with iOS 4.3.2 and I have 5 mail accounts stored and I don't know their passwords. I just wanted to ask that if I update my iPad 2 to iOS 5, will I loose those?

There is no real reason why you should lose the email settings when you update the iOS. I have 4 email accounts and I lost nothing at all - settings, data, apps - nothing. I did not have to enter my passwords again either.
There is no guarantee that the experience will be error free for you - but iTunes will backup your iPad prior to the update and all of your settings are in that backup - including email settings. You can always restore from the backup if you lose the accounts - in theory anyway.
I deleted a problematic email account a few months ago and then was unable to add back on to the iPad. After trying for a couple of hours with continued failure, I decide to restore from my backup and everything was restored and in working order.
One note - I restored from the backup prior to any furhther backups of the device. In other words - you would have to restore from the backup before you create another backup.

What is your current OS? If you have 5.0 and are updating to 5.0.1, the update can be done right on the device. Settings > General > Software Update. This will ensure that no data will be lost on the iPad and will be restored after the update.
If you have iOS 4.x, you will need to update in iTunes, just the way you were doing it. This message indicates that you have used a different computer to sync with in the past-- is this correct?

With a corrupt disk, the install procedure is most likely going to fail.
How old it the disk?
You might be able to reformat it to fix the problem. Of course that means you lose all of your data.
The other alternative is to get a new disk drive and put that in your Mac and install OS X
Then put the old disk drive in an enclosure and see what can be recovered from it.

Click the Backup Now button.
Note, you need the iTunes version released earlier today (yesterday).
Anything can happen, but considering how many millions of devices are updating today, few have any problem, let alone loose data.
