Will I lose my games if I restore factory settings?
I received a message asking if I wanted to update to iOS7, I clicked yes; now it wants to sync with my iTunes but will only do this if I restore factory settings. I cannot use my iPad as it is stuck with a screen telling me to plug it into iTunes.....
If I agree to restore factory settings (and lose all data), does this include losing apps and games? I don't have photos or music on my device
If I will lose everything can I somehow get rid of the screen telling me to plug into iTunes and go back to how things were before?

If you restore factory settings, your iPod, iPad, iPhone will erase everything, and leave you with a device the same way it came out of the box.

update to itunes 7, plugged in my ipod and got the message "itunes cannon read the contents of the ipod "IPOD" Go to the Summary tab in ipod prefrences and click Restore to restore the ipod to factory settings".
But there is no ipod prefrences tab in itunes becuase itunes can't read the contents of the ipod! A reset through the ipod did no good!
I am now stuck with a ipod that can not talk to itunes! How can I reset my ipod to factory defaults if itunes does not see it? And no, the old updater does not work, it says you must update through itunes 7.
How do I fix this ?This is all interesting and much of it consistent with problems I'm having across of the iPODs we have within our household since migrating to iTunes Release 7! Both our past generation and current iPOD can no longer be synched with iTunes. I seriously hope Apple addresses this issue soon! I've tried numerous approaches. I can't get my wife and daughter's iPOD minis to synch at all! My generation 3 I am able to force it to update by unstalling and reinstalling the driver in Windows. Then by uninstalling and reinstalling iTunes. It will then load the music from iTunes on to my iPOD. iTunes will indicate the update is complete but the iPOD will not indicate the update is complete. Appreciate any thoughts or ideas that others may discover to resolve. I'm currently convinced this is an issue with iTunes Release 7 though as I'm not able to get any of our iPODs to work which includes my gen 3, our minis or nanos.

When playing music on my ipad the screen freezes and i am not able to view album covers or make any changes i am only able to hear what i selected.
This is the third time it has happened since i updated to the new IOS 5.1. It never happened before.
If i go to Summary and restore the ipad to the factory settings then i'm able to run it as normal.
Is this a glitch in the new software,or a problem with my ipad?

I'm finding Multicam, combined with Compound Clips to be extrememly efficient.
I started with 2 different video clips, along with 2 different audio clips.
Layed out both clips side by side (visually, they are on top of each other on the timeline),and made that a single compound clip.
Then I laid out both audio clips on top of each other on the timeline and made those a compound clip.
So now I have
2 original individual Video shots
1 compound video shot of the 2 above side by side.
2 original audio tracks
1 compound audio track
Next I made a multicam track, and added to it all 3 video shots (2 original + 1 compound) And I added the compound audio track. I set that audio track to be "the" track.
It's just a little bit of setup, but really not that bad, and the ability to use the multicam feature to switch between shots, while keeping everything in sync is fantastic!

Apps are forever tied to the AppleID that purchased them. Non-responsive apps have absoultely nothing to do with the AppleID.
Basics from the manual are restart, reset, restore from backup, restore as new. -

Wondering if you might know? I don't have enough space to update the new software on iPad. So my facetime isn't working anymore, this is prob why. Seems I have to delete like all the games/apps we have to do so. Will I lose the progress data/levels in the games? But how do I back up the games data?
Please help. Scared to delete them to update and then not have the space to restore them and if I get them again will the levels/progress be gone?

If you restore the iPad to your last backup then you will lose any content you've added or changes that you've made since you took that backup i.e. it will put back to how it was at the time of that backup

Once the Device is asking to be Restored with iTunes... it is too late to save anything...
To minimize Loss... Once you have Recovered your Device... Restore from the most recent Backup...

Photos/videos in the Camera Roll can be imported by your computer as with any other digital camera.

This link is for profile settings I have a iPad and iPhone with the same Apple ID, but on Game Center I have used the same id for both devices and they are two different profiles and I was wondering how to have one of the accounts on both devices.
I couldn't find anything else using google.

Right now i connected my iPhone 5s to my mac in iTunes it said that i should do a Restore Factory Settings, i wanted to know that if i do this will it delete my applications and Games from my iPhone or not.The Problem is that i cant get backup from itunes either,
because as i connect my iphone the page of tunes popups with the message "Restore to factory Settings" And when clicking on ok it will go directly to the restore iphone page . there will be no option to backup -

Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iPod fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- If still not successful that indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order. -

Hi, I have connected my iPhone 5 to iTunes, backed it up and then started the update but there was a problem, now my phone will not work, it asks to restore factory settings which I have tried 3 times, each time it says the device has an unknown error and the phone switches off. Please help.
Same thing happened with my iPhone 4S - no one is any help. Thanks Apple for such a crappy update! I've called Apple, they say the SIM card needs replacing, I go to my service provider they tell me nothing wrong with the SIM card - provider tells me I now need a new phone. Sheesh! If someone has a solution to this it would be greatly appreciated.

The restriction passcode stopped working. I did not forget it. The iPad has not been backed up for a long time. If I back up then restore factory settings then restore backup will it still be restricted with the old passcode?

There's only one thing you can do: make an appointment with Apple genius at the Apple retail store for a out of warranty replacement.
