Will I obtain all protions and extra programs when I downloads Photoshop CS3 Extended
Will I get all extended programs form the Photoshop CS3 download as it does not signify the extended version and should I deactivate or uninstall the product I installed from my disk before downloading from the site?
yes, and if you're going to uninstall, deactivate (help>deactivate) first.

KMZ and 3d Google file import problems (Photoshop CS3 Extended)
I'm new to the forum, so, I hope I didn't miss any answers about this in the FAQs, etc.--I did look.
I have PSCS3 Extended and have downloaded and installed the Google 3D Warehouse plugin. I can access the plugin which takes me to the Google 3D website and I can navigate to and download 3D models. However, when the model is actually brought into Photoshop, it looks very strange. The model is only visible in fixed shape area that appears to be the shape of the initial 3d model. But when I rotate and move the model, it simply slides the view of the image inside the fixed shape area. Very strange. I've tried this with about 8 different downloaded KMZ (Google Earth 4) models and they all do this same strange behavior. Additionally, I downloaded Google's free SketchUp program. The models load and appear fine in that program. I've exported from that program, but the files still have the same problem when loaded up into Photoshop.
I'm really baffled by this. Any guidance would be much appreciated.Problem solved!
Prior to my posting here, I had checked Dell's Customer Care driver download site for the latest video card driver and had downloaded the most recent one they had posted for my video card. I also had let Windows Vista "check for updated driver" for the video card and it reported that I had the most recent video driver.
WRONG!
Instead of relying on Dell's Customer Care driver download web site or Windows Vista's updated driver button, I decided in one last desperate attempt to go directly to nVidia's web site to check for the most recent driver (I know, I should have done this to begin with, but if Dell and Windows offer driver updating ease, I had the silly idea that it would actually work correctly!). The nVidia site had a driver that was one month newer. I downloaded it and installed it and now the KMZ file is appearing correctly in PSCS3, and, so are all the other 3d file formats (3DS, DAE, etc.)!
Hope this information helps anyone else out there who might be having this problem. And, the problem was NOT PhotoShop or Google or the plug-in, the problem was Dell and Microsoft's driver support not updating driver support in a timely manner. -
Whenever I try to sync music to my ipod from itunes, it will go through all the steps up until it actually downloads the music, then it starts, and doesnt move. Why wont it download anything?

Not updating the iOS should not effect your problem.
As long as all the apps are in the iTunes library, you will not lose app data by updating the iOS. -

No, restoring will only erase the iPhone 4s.
How to back up your data and set up as a new device -
The problem I have is that it wants me to uninstall all itunes and related software then reboot and download itunes installer. If I do this will I loose all music and movies form my Itunes library?
Under normal circumstances, an uninstall/reinstall doesn't touch your content. (That being said, it's still always a good idea to maintain a current backup at all times in case of disasters of any sort.)

I use my camera for video and photos. When I download my videos to my ipad1 using the camera connection kit, they will not play.

I haven't tried videos on my camera yet. Do you use the Videos App to play them? I don't think they will play in the Photos App.
If yours are in a format that is not in Vazandrew's list, you may need to sync them to your computer and convert them to M4V or MP4 format. You can use a program like HandBrake to do the conversion. <HandBrake> Once converted, you can sync them back to the iPad and they should play.
This may not meet your needs, but the alternative appears to be getting a different camera. I don't know of another Video App that might work.

MacBook Pro just shut down without notice. It had about 40% of the battery life. It will not turn back on and I noticed when plugged in the little light on the power cord is blinking orange, not a solid green like normal. Anyone have this issue before? I've only had this for about 3mos. I called apple support. They tried one thing then said I have to take to the apple store. Unfortunately I don't have one nearby. I am having difficulty opening raw images with my version of photoshop CS3 extended. I have a Nikon D5200 which according to adobe it is supported but when I try to download a camera raw patch 8bi it wont recognise the file format.Can anyone offer a solution which will enable me to use photoshop with my D5200 when shooting in raw? I have windows 7 operating system.
Thank you for your help I have already downloaded ACR 8.7 and tried to download DNG converter will have to back track on this as didnt recognise the file when I downloaded it. is the problem now that I need to change my files to DNG from NEF files before opening in photoshop?

in order to restore your songs and apps, you should just reconnect to itunes and sync your data. your phone ran a backup before it upgraded, and you can also do a restore. but the key is still to go to your itunes and sync back to your phone what you wanted there in the first place.

First of all, you need to install Lightroom. The first time you run the program after you have installed it, it will indicate that it is a trial version. One of your options on that dialog is that you have a serial number. Choose that option and continue. Then you will be able to enter the serial number, and it will no longer be a trial version.

I've searched google and had no luck with this whatsoever.
I've opened an exported video sequence into Photoshop CS3 extended. (MOV, HDV 1080i60) In FCP6 the sequence had a time code of 0:02:03 whereas in Photoshop CS3 it is recognized as 0:02:02. It seems as if Photoshop is dropping a frame. Regardless, looking over my original MOV and the open Photoshop document I only have 51 total frames.
This looks like Photoshop and FCP6 see frames differently. When I export my video from Photoshop, Quicktime sees all 51 frames still there. When I pull the video back into FCP6 the timecode for the sequence is now 0:02:02 (just like Photoshop sees it) and it drops the last frame.
The frame is there! I can see it when I go over the video in Quicktime. For some reason FCP6 is refusing to show that last frame and will only display a timecode of 0:02:02 for that clip!
What am I to do? How do I get FCP6 to show that last frame?

do you mean you've imported an Image Sequence (movie exported from FCP as individual image files eg- tiffs)...

Where in Photoshop are you reading timecode??? Or are you just counting the individual images?

If the original movie was at 1080i60, and your clip is 02 seconds and 2 frames, that would imply you should have at least 60 images (29.97 (drop-frame?) / 30fps x 2 seconds)

Yup... you got me... I have no idea... I think there is a non-dropped-frame timecode conflict in the Image Sequence(?) export from FCP and way PS is interpreting these images...
I have the good fortune of working in PAL-land, so I'm not too knowledgeable on what i think is your problem... hopefully someone from NTSC-land will chip in and help you out.

When I downloaded PhotoShop CC to my iMac it was suppose to include Lightroom. Lightroom was already running as a free trial. Now the trial has expired and PSCC asks for the Lightroom serial number. What to do?
Lets clear a couple of things up first.
1, You have the Photographers CC subscription which gives you access to PSCC and the current version of Lightroom.
2. PSCC does not include Lightroom.
Now what you will need to do is delete the Lightroom app on your iMac and restart the Mac. Then you can d/load Lightroom from the CC app.
