Are you actually a developer or just want to "buy a beta." If you don't know what you're doing, don't do it. The beta isn't fully functional, many apps don't work on it, and you CAN'T GO BACK once it's installed.

Store button in Music app doesn't work on Verizon iPhone 4 w/iOS 5?

On my Verizon iPhone 4 with iOS 5.0.1, in the Music app, tapping the Store button does nothing. Also, there are several screens with links to the iTunes store. If I tap one of these links, I get this message (this time, from the Podcasts screen):

What's up with this? Do I have to go through my iMac to purchase music to put on my iPhone? The Store button in the Music app on my iPad (also with iOS 5.0.1) works fine.

Found problem in Settings > Restrictions. I had enabled Restrictions but not the individual items such as Installing Apps, iTunes, etc. All is well.

It sounds like you are trying to purchase an app on your iPhone while in Nigeria. You do not need to create a new Apple ID to do this. You will just need change the iTunes Store country in your iPhone settings and update your billing information to match the country you are in:
Change your iTunes Store country
Sign in to the account for the iTunes Store region you'd like to use. Tap Settings > iTunes & App Stores > Apple ID: > View Apple ID > Country/Region.
Follow the onscreen process to change your region, agree to the terms and conditions for the region if necessary, and then change your billing information.

Push not working on Verizon iPhone

I just got the iPhone on Verizon and got everything set up yesterday evening. I have a .mac mail account and set that up automatically. My email is set to "Push" and I thought that would mean that I would get the email on my phone shortly after it was received on the server. The only way I get mail is when I open the mail app on the phone. Any ideas as to why this is and what can be done to correct this?

Same problem here. Got verizon iphone two days ago, set up google apps email with exchange (suppose to be push), it worked for about one hour and now the emails do not come in (it can take hours), eve when youcheck manually emails still do not come to the iphone. The emails are in my account on my computer but do not come on verizon iphone. I spoke wiyh a friend who has att iphone and he said that when googke syn started two years ago they had this problem but had it fixed right away, he has been using exchange with gmail for his att iphone for years with push email working perfactly......NEED HELP ASAP (otherwise will have to go back to my blackberry)

According to this page, it will be supported on the 3Gs. Not all features may be available on that platform (Face time is kind of pointless without a front facing camera).

So, just like most of you i updated my 3G with the iOS 4 only to find its performance extremely poor after all is said and restored. At work i need the alarms on my phone to keep me awake (night shift) and help me keep track of where i am through the night. Because of this i decided to perform a "reset content and settings" while i was at work (**** WARNING *** This method erases all settings, media, app, and content data). This has brought my iPhone 3G completely back in working order. I suspect that the way 3.1.3 arranges data makes it difficult for 4.0 to deal with this data efficiently.
Tomorrow I will start to sync my music and movies as well as my apps contacts and calendar entries. I will post back here with my findings.
I will not be performing a restore from backup because i believe that is the cause of the issue.

this is what i did too and i believe my 3G is now actually faster (if not equal) than 3.1.3 firmware.
The only difference we did is that instead of deleting contents and settings straight in the iPhone itself, I did a Restore from iTunes to delete everything and freshen up my OS.
Then like you, i DID NOT restore from backup, instead I synced my apps/media/contacts (with phone restart after each) and my 3G is all running smooth still. I also think the phone slowdown is coming from the backup because thats been my backup since day 1 of my iPhone unit and I wanted to clear all the junk that bulked up over the years. I'm just keeping the backup just in case something goes wrong with the phone, at least I still have my data.

Why will Siri not work on my iPhone 4s?

I've had my iPhone 4s for a while now, actually, it used to be my Dad's, but I just realized hoe useful Siri was and I help down the Home button for a while and Voice Control came up, so I went to enable Siri, and there's wasn't even a Siri tab to enable her. Can I have some help?

Home Sharing not working on Verizon iPhone 4s?

I just bought a iPhone 4s from Verizon and I got the home sharing but when I go into my family's library nothing is there. It is currently plugged into my families computer. How do I get the movies from here onto my phone? Ive done all the steps apple, and the other websites say to do.

Try signing out of Home Sharing on ALL devices, then sign back in starting with your Macs. Even if some devices work OK, doing this may help.

I have an iHome from the summer i think around 2 years ago. Both my ipod mini and my old black video ipod (not the classic, the video) work with it but I was wondering, will the iPhone?
Another thing, I have Logitech mm50 black iPod speakers that went with my video (until someone broke into my car and stole the ipod!!). Will my iPhone work with those? I know that the iPhone plays music w/o headphones but I like to blast music loud @ parties.
So, please let me know if the iHome and the speakers will work with iPhone, b/c i rly dont want to have to buy a new iHome or speakers!
