Will iphone 6 t-mobile work in Indonesia?

My friend is planning to buy me a iphone 6 t-mobile version in US. I am living in Indonesia so i wonder if it will work and compatible with Indonesian network

As the Apple Approved carriers do not offer LTE/4G then that side is unknown
There is no obvious reason why it will not work on 3G
As the warranty is carried out by the Carriers in Indonesia I would not expect you to get any supprt ,the iPhone 6 would need to be returned to the US for service

Will the iPhone 6 t-mobile work in Aftica?

If you purchase the T-Mobile version direct from Apple, it is reported to be unlocked and should work. However, it may not support all of the LTE bands there.

I'm not sure if you will get any LTE service there, plus the warranty is not international. If something happens to the phone, you will have to bring it to the US for service.

  • Will iPhone 5S (contract-free) work in Saudi?? With any carrier? And any sim card from any other countries (other than US)

Will iPhone 5S (T-Mobile contract-free) work in Saudi? With any other carrier? And any sim card from any other countries (other than US)

The phone will "work" with any standard GSM carrier.
However, LTE and iPhone features like FaceTime, iMessage, Visual Voicemail may not work unless you use a carrier that officially supports iPhones.

  • HT3939 Will the iPhone 5s t-mobile work in Brasil with a brazilian nano-card?

I live in Brazil and I have a relative in the U.S.. the forecast for the iPhone 5s get here is in December. I have my own nano-card and would like to know if the iPhone 5s unlocked T-Mobile will work here in Brazil with my nano-sim. Thanks.

    Olá,
I just brought an unlocked T-Mobile iPhone 5S down to Rio de Janeiro and tried to use it with TIM, but it doesn't work.  The U.S. iPhone Model A1533 doesn't run on Band 7 (2600MHz) required in Brasil.  I can verify that the iPhone 5S from the United Stated does not work in Brasil.  One of the United Kindom versions of the iPhone 5S (Model A1530) is listed as supporting Band 7.  Perhaps that model will work in Brasil.
    Boa sorte!

  • Will iPhone 1.0 still work as an iPod touch if AT&T service is stopped?

If I purchase an iPhone 2.0 and my existing iPhone 1.0 AT&T service is transferred/upgraded to iPhone 2.0, will my iPhone 1.0 then function as an iPod touch? Or will it be a brick?

iPhone 2.0 is a software update that includes many new features and can be installed in your current iPhone. If you do get the new iPhone (called the iPhone 3g) your old one would still work just fine. One of the major differences between the old and new iPhones is GPS (Global Positioning System). The original iPhones won't have true GPS like the iPhone 3g, even with the software update.

  • Will iphone 6 4g lte work on staight talk with vorizon

does straight talk with verizon sim allow 4g lte on the iphone 6?

The iPhone 6 CDMA versions all come with GSM radios and capabilities...HOWEVER, not all CDMA models can utilize both radios.  The Verizon model comes with the GSM radio unlocked as a result of an FCC condition imposed on Verizon when they applied for expanded frequency allocation a couple years ago.  The version sold by Apple as a no-contract T-Mobile iPhone 6 is supposed to be unlocked, but not the version sold by T-Mobile themselves.
So the answer is yes and no...depends on which provider's CDMA iPhone 6 you buy whether or not the GSM side will be unlocked or not.

  • Will iphone 4 hotspot still work with IOS 8?

I would like to know if my iphone 4 (IOS 7) will still work as a hot spot if I update my ipad Air to IOS 8.  And will they still communicate being on different IOS?
I'm not able to upgrade my iphone until January of next year.  Just wondering if I need to hold off on upgrading the IOS on my ipad.

I tried it too. I can turn on my hotspot and other hardwares can also find it, but when I try to connect, it doesn't work. I tried to connect to the hotspot another iPhone 4, a MacBook and a Windows PC, but the hotspot doesn't work with no one of these. I don't know what to do...

  • HT204347 Will my Singapore MacBook Pro work in Indonesia

Hi I bought my MacBook Pro in Singapore end last year.  I will be relocating to Jakarta in June.  Will my MacBook Pro work there?  Thanks.

Actually the MBP sold in Indonesia has Singapore's adaptor plug (3 legs instead of 2 round legs like Indonesia's plug) for the cable extension.  As for voltage, I believe that most electronic adaptor supports at least 110v-220v, so that it can be used for charging while travelling out of the country of origin.  You just need to buy plug adaptor (2 round legs) to use in Indonesia.

  • Is iPhone 5s t-mobile works in Saudi Arabia

Am trying to buy new iPhone 5s free contract, but is it working with my international GSM?

Contract free does NOT equal unlocked.
A US sold iPhone will not work on LTE outside the US.
Warranty and support are limited to the country of origin.

  • Will iPhone's warranty still work overseas?

Hi, I would like to ask that if I brought an contract-free iPhone in Hong Kong and I decided to use it in Canada with a SIM card, will the iPhone's warranty still applicable in the case that I didn't brought the Apple Care extended warranty?

Not typically.  The iphone warranty is generally only good in the country of original purchase.

  • Will iphone with no service work with tom tom?

My brother is wondering if he can buy a gps app like tom tom or navigon and use it on his iphone that no longer has service (he cancelled at&t due to the poor service where he lives)
I understand that these programs use the gps signal but don't use the cellular network. Would this work?
    Thanks!

If he has a 3G or 3GS, yes. Cellular reception/internet access is not required to use a turn by turn GPS navigation app such as TomTom or Navigon since the maps data with the apps is stored locally on the iPhone, and the GPS receiver can work independently.
In order to install a firmware update or restore the iPhone with iTunes if wanted or needed, the no longer activated SIM card needs to be inserted in the iPhone when doing so - the SIM card that was used with the iPhone when the iPhone was activated.

  • Does IPhone 6 T-Mobile Contract free mean its unlocked ?

Hi, I am thinking to buy an Iphone 6 plus. will IPhone 6 T-Mobile Contract free work in Turkey with any carriers?
iPhone: Wireless carrier support and features there is a column says Carrier offers unlocking.
    What does that mean ?

    Enes,
There are 2 ways of buying a T-Mobile iPhone 6 (Model A1549) in the US. The first one is directly from a T-Mobile shop where, like imobl stated, you must activate T-Mobile contract for 40 days after which you can end the contract. The second one is directly from Apple Retail Stores or Apple.com, where the phone comes with a T-Mobile SIM card which you may opt not using it. Essentially the iPhone 6 you would get in the second option will be contract free and unlocked and you would not have to wait 40 days to use your Turkish SIM card.
2G and 3G networks will perfectly work in Turkey. To the best of my knowledge as of now there is not any Turkish mobile operator utilizing 4G/LTE and it is not possible to know which 4G/LTE bands they would use in the future. We may assume Turkish operators would utilize one of the several bands used in Europe in the future, in which case your T-Mobile iPhone 6 purchased in the US most likely would not support 4G/LTE. I used and have been using my T-Mobile iPhone 5s (Model A1532) without any problem in the US and Turkey, respectively, and my T-Mobile iPhone 6 (Model A1549) is on its way to Turkey which I will receive from a relative who has recently visited the US for a week. (Other iPhone 6 Models marketed for other operators in the US such as AT&T, Verizon etc. may have wider band coverage which may work in Turkey's 4G/LTE when it becomes available. However you must review their contract terms and conditions as well as their capability of being unlocked very carefully before purchasing such a Model.)
All in all, I would say, considering that 1) it may take quite a while for Turkish operators to adopt 4G/LTE, 2) even after being adopted, it will likely be very premature, unstable and slow for which you may have to pay price premium for a while after its adoption, all of which had been the case in regards to 3G in Turkey; and 3) the price difference between iPhone 6 in the US and Turkey even Europe is huge, I would import iPhone 6 from the US. If 4G/LTE were ubiquitously available in Turkey (at least all over the major cities) and in a stable and fast fashion, then I might have given a second thought from importing it from Europe or even buying directly from Turkey, especially due to superior warranty coverage in Turkey.

  • I am currently living in KSA, if i order an unlocked iPhone 6(T-Mobile) will LTE work ?

I am currently living in KSA, if i order an unlocked iPhone 6(T-Mobile) will LTE work ?

The unlocked iPhone 5s model sold in the U.S. is A1533 (GSM).
    http://www.apple.com/iphone/LTE/
The iPhone will work except for not being able to connect to any LTE networks there, and the warranty if needed will be valid in the U.S. only.
