I have a Macbook and iPhone and like to back up to iCloud. However, my work computer runs Outlook 2003, which I know will not work with the iCloud. The company has no plans to update anytime soon. Since the calendar and contact list on my office computer are my primay ones, I hard sync through iTunes. The problem is that any data synced from Outlook 2003 to the iPhone from iTunes does NOT later backup to iCloud. Is there a solution?
I have the same problem with Outlook 2003 and Win XP which the multinational organisation I work for standardises on and will probably stay with forever!

I had a repair done on my MacBook Pro and had to have a new hard drive installed. The Apple Auth Repair Shop then updated the OS from 10.6.8 to 10.7.5. Now my iPhoto v 9.2.3 will not open and it sounds like it will not work with this OS. Can you please advise?
You may need many other updates to retain compatibility with Lion. I suggest you reinstall Snow Leopard. Unfortunately, you will need to erase the drive first. Be sure to backup your data if you haven't done so already.
Clean Install of Snow Leopard
Be sure to make a backup first because the following procedure will erase
the drive and everything on it.
1. Boot the computer using the Snow Leopard Installer Disc or the Disc 1 that came
with your computer. Insert the disc into the optical drive and restart the computer.
After the chime press and hold down the "C" key. Release the key when you see
a small spinning gear appear below the dark gray Apple logo.
2. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue
button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu.
After DU loads select the hard drive entry from the left side list (mfgr.'s ID and drive
size.) Click on the Partition tab in the DU main window. Set the number of
partitions to one (1) from the Partitions drop down menu, click on Options button
and select GUID, click on OK, then set the format type to MacOS Extended
(Journaled, if supported), then click on the Apply button.
3. When the formatting has completed quit DU and return to the installer. Proceed
with the OS X installation and follow the directions included with the installer.
4. When the installation has completed your computer will Restart into the Setup
Assistant. After you finish Setup Assistant will complete the installation after which
you will be running a fresh install of OS X. You can now begin the update process
by opening Software Update and installing all recommended updates to bring your
installation current.

Get a Virtual Macine software program, Parallels, VMware Fusion or VirtualBox, and install XP in a virtual machine.
You can't install XP in a Boot Camp Partition with Lion or Mt Lion, only Win 7. -

You cannot merge two separate libraries across user accounts. Photos does not have the function of merging different Photos.library files. If you have Aperture then you can merge the two before migrating over to Photos. -

Ive got the same problem, just got my iphone unlocked, and they told me to sync it to itunes to get it permently unlocked, well everytime i plug my iphone in it says; it wont work as it needs up dating to 10.6.3, which i have already updated, but still doesnt work, so how can i get my phone unlocked?

Just downloaded Firefox 4. It replaced the older version on my mac but will not work with my current version of OSX.

HDX 9010nr, Radeon 2600 will not work with WIndows 7
Apparently, HP is not going to support the HDX 9010nr for Windows 7. That's the bad news, the good news is that it "mostly" works.
The only big issue is that the display driver stops every few minutes and then restarts. So you sit there for thirty seconds while the machine recovers. But, it doesn’t support a second screen; and worse, every 10th time the video driver crashes; it locks up the whole machine.
ATI has a version of the Radeon 2600 software that worked with the Release Candidate (RC) of Windows 7, but it will not work with the shipped version of Windows 7. ATI recommends that you get a version from your hardware vendor. Which brings me back to the first sentence. HP isn't supporting the 9010nr.
The question is do any of the "supported" HP laptops have the ATI Radeon 2600? If so, might that work on the HDX 9010nr?

ITunes will not work with my computer. iMac G3 processor, OS 10.4.11
Original message posted about a week ago - I have an iMac, OS is 10.4.11. I just updated my Quicktime software to 7.5, I also updated my iTunes to 8.2.1 (I think, it is definitely higher than 8.0). When I would open up iTunes. I would get this message. (We could not complete your iTunes Store request. The iTunes Store is temporarily unavailable. Please try again later). This was happening before I did the current downloads. I had no trouble about 3-4 weeks ago. I was able to get into the iTunes store and download song. I am pretty annoyed to say the least. Apple makes it so difficult to get information, unless you do endless searches. Trying to contact customer service is a whole other nightmare. They offer this software for free, yet they want you to pay for everything. As you can imagine, I am not happy and venting is helping. So I am hoping there are some other people out there with similar problems who can help. Nothing has been changed or altered on my computer. I have no problem connecting to the internet. No passwords or ID's have been changed. As mentioned I updated my software to the highest, most current software available that my operating system can handle. Updated message 12/9/10 - I updated my iTunes version to 9.2.1. Now my iTunes will not open. When I do try to open it, It says that this program will only work with G4, and G5 processors. It would seem to me that you have probably had to reinstall Photoshop CS 2. If that is the case, then you should download and install Camera Raw 3.7. The version that was on your install disk was updated several times. And one of those updates probably included support for your camera. Install ACR 3.7 and see if that helps.

2nd generation ipod touch is pretty much no good anymore? It is not able to upgrade to iOS5.1 and so will not work with many Apps in the iTunes store? Is there a way to find out if the App will work before you download?
Look to the app developer to provide that information when browsing the iTunes Store.
The iPod Touch still works, so what's your problem with it? It still works with older apps, it still does what it's intended to do.
If you aren't happy then sell it and buy a new one. -
