Will itune support window 8.1 pro
Dear Sir/Madam
I recently upgrade my laptop software from window 7 to window 8. I warn to update to the window 8.1, will itune support it ?
Thank you
However, currently iTunes does not even open on Windows 8.1 Pro. Many people are having problems and Apple has yet to acknowledge this issue. Apple always takes forever to admit that their software is broken.

MacBook Pro 15" (Late 2013) will not install Windows 8.1 Pro under Boot Camp?
Have spent many hours trying to sort this out. I was told this morning in the end by a 'Senior Advisor' @ Apple that Boot Camp does not support Windows 8.1 Pro so effectively it seems like my only option for a new machine purchased earlier in the week is to return for a refund.
This despite the Apple Spec saying "
Windows 8: Windows 8 or 8.1, Windows 8 or 8.1 Pro (Boot Camp 5 only)"
The subject has been aired in thread https://discussions.apple.com/thread/5474320?start=585&tstart=0 but it has been suggested I post a fresh thread.
I have purchased a new 8.1 Pro license, so this is not an upgrade. I have followed the Boot Camp instructions, including getting the update for this model spcifically, but the nearest I got to a successful install returns soemthing of the like 'Unable to update boot settings' or the like and installation cancels. My machine is a mess I guess now, but in a final effort - does anyone have the step by step 'idiots guide' to working through the setup successfully? I don't want to get involved in massses of messing around with files as this should clearly not be necessary for achieving an advertised solution on a new machine bought within the last week should it?
Appreciate any help - I have up to seven more days left in my option to return for a full refund..... and maybe buy a Dell instead?
PS : We have many Apple products, Air, ipads and iphones so would dearly like to sort this out if possible.
Thanks for any help...8/8.1 will install fine but there's some stuff you need to do before starting to ensure no issues
purchase a retail 8/8.1 license
use only a USB2 flash drive
get a clean 8 or 8.1 ISO
newer machines are more selective with the ISO for some reason (ISOs that worked to install Windows on many different older Macs would not work)
if you've made lots of changes, hacks and adjustments trying to get this work on your own, you should clean install OSX first, do not restore from time machine and start at step 3 to get Windows installed, you can go back later and copy files back to OSX
if you want to try without clean installing OSX, here goes
open boot camp assistant (bca) and choose option 3 ONLY if it reads 'remove/delete' Windows
open disk utility (du) and confirm that your HD now only has 1 single partition ('macintosh HD' unless you've renamed it)
restart machine and do a PRAM reset
open du and repair permissions TWICE
open bca and choose all 3 options (create, download, install)
from here, the process follows the standard boot camp instructions (http://manuals.info.apple.com/MANUALS/1000/MA1636/en_US/boot_camp_install-setup_ 10.8.pdf) but pay attention to step 3 where you do have to manually reformat the boot camp partition
clean ISOs

I wanna install window 7 in MacBook pro. In that, such software like CADD,Pro-E etc will b support to MacBook pro..??
http://www.apple.com/support/bootcamp/
It is not clear what you are asking. You can install Windows 7 on Macbook Pro using Boot Camp Assistant. Follow the linked to instructions. All Windows programs will work just as they would on a Windows PC with similar specs as your Macbook Pro. -
Cannot Install Itunes on Windows 8.1 Pro
I am trying to install ITunes x64 on windows 8.1 Pro and I keep getting an error message half way through saying "An error occurred during the installation of assembly 'Microsoft VC80 CRT type="Win32" . version="8.0.50727. 6195" ,publicKey Token="1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b" processo rArchitecture="amd64" . Please refer to Help and Support for more information HRESLILT: 0180073715"
Can anyone help??For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies. The notes below the box include tips on removing troublesome components.
The further information area has direct links to the current and recent builds in case you have problems downloading, need to revert to an older version or want to try the iTunes for Windows (64-bit - for older video cards) release as a workaround for installation or performance issues, or compatibility with QuickTime or third party software.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there also links to backup and recovery advice should it be needed.

Itunes support, Windows vista 64 bit?
Is it known whether there is a future with Itunes support in the vista 64 bit platform? Is it in the near future or at least being worked on? Any info would be great, thanks!
I am afraid we are all just users here and Apple doesn't share it's plans. However lots of people are using 64 bit Windows and many seem to be able to get iTunes to work with a little effort.
Why not feed back your concers to Apple on this form, the more requests for 64 bit support the better.

SQL Server 2014 Express why not support Windows 8.1 Pro ?
Hi All !
I tried to setup SQL Server 2014 Windows 8.1 Pro x64, but setup says :
"The operating system on this computer or its service pack level does not meet the minimum requirements for SQL Server 2014. To determine the minimum required operating system supported for this SQL Server release, see Hardware and Software

Error result: -2067529676
Result facility code: 1220
Result error code: 52
For more information, review SQL Server 2014 Setup logs in your temp folder."
The log file contains :

Why not supported this OS, if the SQL Server 2012 Express x64 is, and Windows Phone SDK 8.0 also.
Thanks.Hey DBT,
SQL Server 2014 Express supports your operating system.
You can see the link below the requirements for each version: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms143506.aspx
Did you try to restart the computer and then try installing again?
There are users that it helps them, it might solve the problem but preventing them expect an error and understand why it happens.
Sometimes it appears as a result of lack of .NET Framework (check the Microsoft article if you meet the requirements before installation).
If you are interested to View and Read SQL Server Setup Log Files
I've provided you a link that explains simply how to do this.

When will itunes support the google chromebook?
I just got a new Hp google chromebook and itunes does not currently support it. I would like to know why it doesn't support my google chromebook and when it will. I have an iphone and i would like to be able to use it with my google chromebook. Any suggestions?
Someone said: "Buy a real computer, something that's not just a glorified web browser."
I disagree. I judge a computer based on whether it can perform as a computer is expected. Therefore real operating systems would be the following:
Chromium OS,
Apple OS
Linux.
Haven't you tried to use the latest incarceration of Windows? not a typo. That OS is so bad, its a crime. Certainly leaves hardware lacking, no matter what it's on. -
Can I take my home DVD's and add to itunes via windows and Quicktime pro?
I use my iphone for watching video (train commuter) and have been playing with different software to add my movies/TV dvd's to itunes. I can't find one I really like and I thought I read that I could do this via Quicktime pro, but I also thought that this feature is only avail on the Mac OS version. Can anyone confirm that it will or will not work for me? Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Converting "copyright" protected video can't be discussed in these Discussions.
The Windows version of QuickTime allows the same export features found in the Mac version. -
Same as topic.
Windows 8.1 is not yet supported. It may work or you may have the odd driver issue.

Will iTunes support an iPod and iPhone that uses the same computer?
I'm curious to know if Apple has/will take into consideration that many people who will purchase the iPhone, will make the purchase as an addition to their Apple perepherals and not a substitution. Meaning, the iPhone will not replace the iPod as their portable music player. As I understand, Apple has set copyright guidelines to how many iPods one can assign to an individual player, and how many iPods one could transfer files to, to only 1 player. My question is, is Apple going to allow file transfers to both the iPod and iPhone when the user syncs from their computer? I want to purchase the iPhone upon release, but I would reconsider if I was unable to listen to music on both my iPod and iPhone.
Nobody knows how it will interact. Probably just like an iPod does now. You can have multiple iPods for syncing to one computer, each receiving different content. So there shouldn't be any issue there.
By the way, the authorization limit is number of computers not iPods. There has been cases here of whole families with each person having one sometimes two iPods.
