Will labview 4.1 for win95.nt/3.1 work on win2k

I would like to install labview on my win2k box however, the only version that I currently have is 4.1 for win 95/nt/3.1. Will this version work on win2k?
I also have NI version 6.9.3 NI-DAQ software for Win 2000/nt/xp/9x. Should I install 4.1 first and then install 6.9.3. I tried to install 6.9.3 first and come up with several errors.

LabVIEW 4.1 still works fine on Win2K. However, the latest version of NI-DAQ you can use with it is 6.6.

  • When will LabVIEW Drop Support for the NXT?

We currently use LabVIEW to program LEGO NXT kits in our engineering courses.  However, LEGO is phasing out the NXT within the next year or two.  Does anyone know the LabVIEW/NXT life cycle plan, i.e., when will LabVIEW no longer support the NXT platform?

    Hi Joel777,
NI doesn't currently have a definitive roadmap for future NXT support in LabVIEW, but I recommend you check out the community page for updated modules. I would also recommend adding any feedback you have regarding future releases to this page in the comments section and periodically checking this page for support updates.

  • Will apple replace phone for iphone 5 camera not working if older than 12 months.

Iphone 5 main camera not working on iphone 5. Many folks comment on apple replacing phone.  Mine is older than 12 months.  Will they still replace phone?

No. You can get an out of warranty replacement or buy a new phone. A an out if warranty replacement will be cheaper than buying a new one.

  • Will ni-daq drivers for an E-series device work under WinXP?

I now use them to program the device using Visual C++ under win 98.

    Hello
NI-DAQ 6.9.3 does provide support for XP and 98, so you most certainly can use it in XP with an E-series device.

  • Visual Glitch in Labview 8.2 for OS X

    Hello,
I recently got LabVIEW 8.2 for Mac OS X and I'm having some problems with visual glitches in block diagrams. When I scroll the window, everything looks ok until I mouse over something (a wire or a function). If I mouse over a function for example, a second image will appear where the function originally was before I scrolled the window. If a structure is highlighted, the corners and centers of each side will turn white where the resize squares would be.
Minimizing the window or dragging something else over the window does not fix the problem. Closing the block diagram and reopening it or scrolling it completely off the screen then back on does fix it, however unless I switch to the front diagram and back the glitches simply happen again. I attached a screenshot of the problem, let me know if anything else would be helpful.
I'm running OS X 10.4.10 and have an ATI Radeon 9600 with a 20 inch cinema display.
    Thanks,
    Mike

I contacted support about this problem and they were able to reproduce the problem. Since I didn't find anything about this problem when I searched the forums, hopefully if anyone else runs into this they can find this thread.
The things I do to get around it are:
    1. Don't scroll with the mouse wheel. Use the scroll bars on the sides instead.
    2. If you do scroll with the wheel, switch to the front panel and back before you mouse over anything.
    3. If the screen gets messed up, closing the block diagram and using ctrl-e to immediately open it again is probably the best way to fix it.

  • DESPERATELY NEED LabVIEW help ASAP for hire

Need LabVIEW expert ASAP for help with outputting a digital signal.  $50-$75 to start - probably would only take an hour though. Would like service by Monday the 24th if possible. Over the phone or on site (Ann Arbor, MI) will work.   Please contact [email protected] or [email protected]
We are working with a USB 6501 DAQ board, LabVIEW 8.5, and need to send a 3.5-5 V DC signal for controlled second time intervals (on/off).  For example, send signal for 15 seconds. Turn off for 45. Do this for 3 outputs and repeat this process as many times as controlled by the user.

    I hope this isn't homework

Considering to Example(PID Example.vi from http://zone.ni.com/devzone/cda/epd/p/id/3402). that including one degree of freedom. I wish to solve a project with two degrees of freedom. I attached an image of my project in JPG formatting. Could you please let me have a solved problem in same case or helping me in this way?

  • Will LabVIEW 5.1.1 run on Windows XP?

Will LabVIEW version 5.1.1 run on the Windows XP operating system?

We have recently installed it on WinXP, don't have a real feel for any possible issues, but the only noticeable issues was a little error message box "Wrong OS", which goes away when clicked. Good luck.

  • Will LabVIEW run in Windows Azure ?

Will LabVIEW run in Windows Azure? If not, why not?

Hi, I'm on the NI cloud team, and thought I'd chime in here even though the thread's old. We've been doing work with both the Amazon and Azure clouds.
We have LabVIEW working on Amazon just fine, in fact the LabVIEW FPGA Compile Cloud that's in beta right now is hosted on Amazon EC2.
We've been working with Microsoft Azure as well.  I haven't yet tried to deploy LabVIEW on it, it should be possible to try as of the Azure 1.3 release by using a startup task although those may have an eventual timeout (LV installs take a while). Azure role instances are not meant to be long running and the disk on them is completely ephemeral. Probably using a VM role would be better. This isn't guaranteed to work because various low level drive stuff may run afoul of the limitations (Azure isn't *quite* stock Win2008R2, it does have limitations). The wrinkle will probably be licensing. We had to bypass our own usual licensing scheme to work on the dynamic cloud for Amazon.
This is a good candidate for the idea exchange, perhaps I'll add on there too.

  • Will LabVIEW 5.1 play ok with WindowsXP?

I have LabVIEW 5.1 running on a Windows98 Second Edition laptop. Things work ok. If I upgrade the laptop from Win98se to Windows XP Professional, will LabVIEW 5.1 still work on the WinXP operating system?

It's worked fine on all of our XP boxes and win 2k as well. The older NI-DAQs, however, do not, so you can't use the old ISA legacy boards (not an issue if you're using a laptop). You'll likely have a harder time getting laptop specific drivers than any labview problems. Also, there can be complications regarding file privaledges and labview, such as a limited user trying to run an admin created file, which you can search for solutions for on the discussion forum or ni.com.

  • Where can I download a LabVIEW GPIB driver for an ANDO AQ6315E Optical Spectrum Analyzer?

Where can I download a LabVIEW GPIB driver for an ANDO AQ6315E Optical Spectrum Analyzer?
    Thanks.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

The Instrument Driver Network has all the drivers for instruments. There is no driver specific to that model, but there is one for the 6310B. Perhaps that may work for you. You may need to modify it. If not, you will need to write one yourself. You can get a lot of material for this here: http://www.ni.com/devzone/idnet/development.htm
