Will Labview 5.0 work on Windows XP

I am currently upgrading systems to Windows XP and need to know if my old Labview 5.o version is compatible with Windows XP. Does anyone know? The application I created on Windows 98 is currently operating on Windows XP with out any concerns. Future upgrades will need to be implemented inthe near future and I will need to run labview on a Windows XP computer. Any suggestions?

Hello,
LabVIEW 5.0 is not officially supported on Windows XP, as it was released before XP was released. However, it will most likely work, other than a "Wrong OS" message that you may recieve during installation. I have successfully installed LabVIEW 5.0 on my XP machine and not run into any trouble. However, you should be aware that issues you encounter may not be supported. Please see these KnowledgeBases on our website for more information:

Will LabVIEW 8.0 work with Windows 7?
    Thanks in advance.

According to this kb, LV2009 is the first version to be supported in Windows 7.  We have had problems getting LabVIEW 8.6 to just install in Windows 7 machines.  You might be able to get it to work, but I would recommend upgrading your version of LabVIEW if you really need to use Windows 7.

  • Will Labview 6.0 work with windows 7 32 or 64 bit

We have a machine here at work which is set up running labview 6.0 with windows 98. The pc on the machine is WAY too old. We are looking to replace it and I need to know if this version will run on windows 7 (32 or 64 bit OS), or do we need to run an older OS.
Thanks in advance  for any help.

Did you try a search? http://zone.ni.com/devzone/cda/tut/p/id/10383#toc1
So, the official answer is no. The practical answer? Maybe. If you can get it to install, that is. Please do a search on installing previous versions of LabVIEW on Windows 7, as this question has also been asked many times.

  • Will the Linksys WRT160N work with windows vista at all?

Will the Linksys WRT160N work with windows vista at all?
Some one please clear this up for me, it could be answered in the simplestterms from the English Language of course.
I've recently purchased the Linksys WRT160N however after purchase "of course"I manage to find reviews stating that the router will not work with the WindowsVista Premium, or windows Vista for that matter.
E.g.(Comments like These 'which are not my own')----------
"When I tried it with a new computer running Vista 64, it would install but the Linksys System Advisor would not. After 1 chat and 4 phone calls with support the system will still not run."
"It is a good product with XP, but if you use Vista 64 good luck. After several hours of working to get it running my patience and options have run out."
"It has taken almost a week for us to figure out that the Linksys Router, WRT160N from Best Buy does not workwith Vista Premium. I looked on-line to Linksys Website and discovered that the router, WRT160N is notsupported for Vista users. .."
E.g. (CommentContradicting to what has been said above)------
"Bought this to replace my outdated Linksys (new Vista laptop) and was blown away. Thisthing practically set itself up. It replaced the wired router and wireless routers I was using, asthe signal strength is awesome. I'm still pulling over 5meg ... "
So I guess one could see why I am confused, based on the 2 sidedcontradictions pertaining to this router actually working with windows vista ornot.
So can someone respond (preferable a Vista User) and tell me the truth as of towhat this router can an cannot do in terms of Vista? Thanks

It should work with vista without any issues if you are running any software on the computers (64 bit) from linksys it may not work but if you will connect that computer with an ethernet to the router it should work fine.

Will Photoshop Elements 6 work with Windows 7?

PSE6 would install and work on windows 7 fine. There might be some issues where application interacts with OS, so you can expect some issues in OS dialog boxes that are opened in application like import dialog box.

  • Will Photoshop 7.0 work under Windows 7?

Will Photoshop 7.0 work under Windows 7?

To get Photoshop 7.0 (or 7.0.1 in my case) to work under Windows 7 64-bit, I ran the CD's Autorun under Windows XP service pack 2 compatibility. I also set the same compatibility prefs in Win 7 for the setup.exe file in the Photoshop directory of the CD-ROM.
You'll possibly encounter an error about the scratch disk being full - this is because PS 7 fails to understand big hard drives (the huge free space number looks like an empty disk, it's kinda like a Y2K problem, since PS7 programmers or the API writers never imagined so much free space, I guess). In this case, two things are important:
You need a partition that's less than 1TB (not sure about the size, it's in another thread) for the scratch disk. I used my system's recovery partition (only 2GB free, however). Other advice I found was to create a scratch partition using Windows 7 partitioning. Maybe a USB key would work? Surely not very fast...
PS 7 will fail on startup with the "scratch disk full" error and exit. To get PS 7 to allow you to specify it, hold down CTRL and ALT when the program is launching. You'll be given a chance to indicate the partitions.

  • Will hp officejetpro 6830 work with windows 10?

will hp officejetpro 6830 work with windows 10?

Windows 10 is still in th pre-release stage and it is not published yet what will be supported, I expect this will happen in the next month as the July 29 release nears.  HP's site here will have compatibility information, check back in late July for information. That said, I would expect that current printers will be suported in Windows 10.  The current public Windows 10 Build 10130 does have a Fax driver for the Officejet Pro 6830 and print drivers that would be compatible as well.

  • Will Acrobat 9 Standard work on Windows 8.1

Will Acrobat 9 Standard work on Windows 8.1?

It may, but you might expect potential problems with the print driver and such, even if Acrobat and Distiller work. I do not remember anyone reporting on AA9 with Win8.1, so only trying it will let you know for sure. Also, be sure you let us know of any issues and/or success if you try it.

  • Will Premiere Elements 4 work with Windows 7?

I am going to have to upgrade to Windows 7 from XP.  Will my Premiere Elements 4 work with Windows 7?

    Monoscope
Premiere Elements 4 works great in Windows 7 Professional SP1 64 bit computer. I have been there and am doing that along with other versions of the program on the same computer.
Do not go to the desktop icon for Premiere Elements 4 and set a compatibility setting in the Properties.
Just make sure that you are running the program from a User Account with Administrative Privileges and perhaps also with a Run As Administrator (right click desktop icon, select Run As Administrator). Latest version of QuickTime remains a must.
Does Premiere Elements 4 meet your video editing needs, feature-wise and otherwise? If so, stay with it. If not, explore the latest version 12 via a tryout from Adobe before any thoughts of purchase.
The above is my take on your inquiry. Please let us know if you need clarification on anything written.
    Thanks.

Add On...If you need a computer environment with greater resources for your Premiere Elements workflows, then you need to look at specifically Premiere Elements 10, 11, or 12 specifically on Windows 7, 8, or 8.1 64 bit.

  • Will Acrobat Pro 7 Work with Windows 7?    It did NOT with Vista.

I create fillable forms using Pro and have never had any problem getting Acrobat Pro to install the PDF driver with Windows 6 or XP.
However, I have tried every "solution" offered by Adobe to get the driver to install on my new notebook which runs on Vista.  I have also downloaded and installed both Vista service packs.  The driver still will not install,
Without the converter driver, I cannot do a substantial portion of my work on the new computer.
I was going to upgrade to Acrobat Pro 8 but found out from other irritated users that Pro 8 also failed to install the driver using Vista.
Am I the only customer who thinks there is really shoddy support from Adobe on this issue?
I am willing to upgrade to Windows 7.  However, if Pro fails to work with Windows 7 like it did with Vista then the upgrade would be another waste of my money.  If we cannot depend on Acrobat Pro to work on the Windows platform, my company (5000+ employees) is going to have to find other software.
Has anyone had success getting Acrobat Pro (7, 8, OR 9) to install the PDF converter driver with Windows 7 ?
    Thanks!

What is the "method" to get around issues with Windows 7 64bit?  My XP machine failed and I've bought a new one running Windows 7 64bit.  I'm trying to get a credit card statement, but I can't read it because the  downloaded Acrobat 9 I'm trying to install - won't install. Something about it not being "compatible" with Windows Vista and 7 operating 64bit.  How long has Vista been around?? - at least a couple years. Why hasn't Acrobat been able to get "compatable" in all this time??  Right now it seems I'm screwed because I unknowiing bought a 64bit machine.
I've been told at work that the answer is to get some sort of similated 32bit operation going that Acrobat can handle. Can you please tell me how to do that? I'd really appreciate your help.

  • Will Pro 1.5 work in Windows 7?

    Thanks for your help.
Setting aside the fact that Pro 1.5 is an "older" version and Windows 7 is not supported. Research has turned up that some versions of Premiere are working in Windows 7, but I haven't found any feed back yet on Pro 1.5.
Yes... wait, upgrage or XP mirror in Windows 7, but, I'd like my cake and eat it too if possible.
I'm looking at purchasing a ZT System at Costco. What do you think?

    Thanks again,

    Jon,
    Welcome to the forum.
My first guess would be that there will be issues. Even PrPro 2.0 had some with Vista, though many did get it functioning. With an even older version, things might get tricky.
Now, reports are that Win7 does a much better job at handling older software, than Vista did, so with Win7 Pro, one might have better luck, than Vista users did.
If you try it, and get it to work, please update this thread, to help others.
    Good luck,
    Hunt
