Will my 5510L Jetpack ever have useable 4 G connection ?

I have two 4G devices on my plan, A Samsung ATIV phone, and the 5510
l Jetpack, and they are both worthless.  I'm trying to figure out why for $ 285 a month I can't even do basic things like check email.
Right now my 5510 Jetpack has a -96 dbm, In 4G only mode,   I've tried pulling the sim card, and resetting everything ( I do it everyday )   If I switch it to Auto, I am stuck in 3G all the time, I live in a residential neigborhood, less than a mile from a tower.
The phone is no better, 2 bars in 3G, Rarely shows LTE, if it does, its only 1 bar,  Can't call tech support, because I can't keep a call going long enough to get off hold.
Got rid of my land line, when I made the mistake of getting these.
Any suggestions ?

Today, just to amuse myself, I took the jetpack 5510 with me on a roadtrip,   I took the I-275 loop around Cincinnati ( about a 40 mile trip ), I stopped  every 5 miles to check the signal,   I could never get better than - 96dbm while standing by the side of my car.
I also made a stop in Downtown Cincinnati,  - 102dbm,    On a Saturday, In the heart of the downtown business district,    I'm sure glad I was just checking the signal, and did not actually need to use it to do some work ?
So what is it ?      My device, my location,  a solar flare,  snow buildup on your tower,    did Zombies eat all the wires at Verizon HQ ?    
Or, is it the dreaded Network congestion ?   On a Saturday afternoon ?
I'm at a loss here ? 
From your website " The 4G Signal should be greater than -58dbm, a value of -96dbm indicates No signal. Move to another location , preferably an outdoor location. "
I have tried other locations, all over the city, Nothing,  
So, If I go to the Verizon store, and buy another new 4G Hotspot tomorrow,    Everything will be PERFECT ?   Right ?
Because that's what your salesperson will tell me ?
Please help me decide what to do, Because my bill is due soon, and I need to decide if I need to pay it ?

    I've had some difficulties with SIRI recognizing the way I pronounce several names and/or words.  It's especially annoying when I'm trying to dial contacts in my Address Book.  I've used some motorola phones where it will allow you to record they way I pronounce the name so when I do need to dial it in a hands free manner, it will recognize the way I say it.  Instead it is very particular about how it recognizes certain names in my address book.

    Well...the iPhone is not a motorola phone. Siri is essentially Nuance voice recognition technology, and is still a beta program. The feature you're describing may or may not be added in the future.

    Yes u can think it in that way also.....actually we use infosource in this case........to reduce the redundency of work............I mean suppose u need to write a End routine..........which will delete some fields......and this field exist in all the three datasource..........and every time......for each Transformation u hav to write the code........then its better........that u merge all the three Transformation in one Infosource........then a single transformation from the infosource to the target.......and in that Transformation u write down the sode.....

I donu2019t have access to a BI system now but your model suggests that it can be done, by right-clicking on the InfoSource, to create a Transformation under the InfoSource. Right?
    i.e. that is how in your model you create 3 transformation under the InfoSource, right?.
    Look first u hav to create the infosource............u can create Transformation by right clicking on the Datasource or the Target both.......so for  the first three Transformation..........here the source is the Datasource and the target is the infosource..........so either right click on the Datasource or the infosource >> Create transformation........there as a target select infosource............Now for the second level transformation...............source is the infosource............so again either right click on the infosource or the target and create transformation.......
    4. As part of my summary, I am also deducing that even in the BI 7 implementation, there are still two different types of datasources(3.5 and 7.0 datasource) since SAP is still on its way to make all datasources as according to BI7. And that even if you are in a pure BI 7 environment and you decide to use the 3.5 types of data sources, you have no option but to use InfoSource in your model. Right?
    Look.......in BI 7.0 also............for 3.5 datasources u can use the old model............but if u use Emulated datasource (if you replicate the old DataSource to a NetWeaver 2004s BI system, we call this DataSource an 'emulated' DataSource. An 'emulated DataSource' is a DataSource that has the same 'look and feel' as the new DataSource, but is actually a BW 3.x DataSource)............if u migrate a datasource.then obviously u hav to use 7.0 flow..........
    For an example..........BI 7.0 does'nt support Hierarchy datasource.....u cannot use it as Emulated datasource also.....u hav to use it as BW 3.X datasource only...so in that case u will use 3.X flow only..............

    I also forgot to note that this problem also persists with the new iBooks application. I cannot get past the 'Get Started' screen or access the iBooks Store. Again, all top bar menus are unresponsive.

    At first glance, it seems debatable that a tool needs "zero" or "center-scale" settings that cause nothing to be done to the image...  A software designer might think, "well, he wouldn't invoke the HDR Toning tool if he didn't want an 'HDR toned look' to the result", and also perhaps "hey, he can fade the effect after the fact with Edit - Fade, or layer transparency and masking, or whatever".
    For example, if there was a new "Make Image Greenish" tool, would you expect that it should have to have a 0 setting in which the image was not made any more greenish?  You might - only if all other tools worked that way (as it turns out, most DO have settings that allow you to dial-in no effect at all).
    I'm not in front of my CS5 system at the moment, but isn't what you're asking for is to allow the Strength control to be able to reach all the way to 0?
    Maybe Adobe gets zillions of customer complaints about functions that don't do anything, only to reach the conclusion time and again that the less-than-expert user has the "amount" or "strength" value set to 0.  I note that there are pop-up dialogs in Camera Raw now notifying you of just such things (to the tone of "you won't see any results because you have such and such set to 0").  There was a question on this forum about one of those messages not too long ago.
    Personally, I'm with you.  Especially in a tool that allows programmability (actions, scripts) , all functions really SHOULD allow its controls to reach zero / no effect values.

  • 5510L JetPack re-sets on day 7-8

    Anyone have this JetPack ever encounter this issue? I have three of these hooked up to separate devices and it's been observed that on day 7 or day 8 the JetPack will either re-set or shut down. These are always plugged into a device with full power, so they should never shut down. I also went into the settings for Automatic Shutdown and turned that off, so there should never be any shutting down. Let me know if you have any experiences even similar to this. Thank you once again.

    Sorry to hear about the trouble you have been having with the 5510L. It sounds like you have had more than one device do the same thing. What you have described sounds like a known issue solved by a software update. Try pulling the battery out of the device, wait 30 seconds, reinsert the battery and try powering it on. If you still cannot power on the device would need to be replaced. If the device does power on, make sure the software is up to date: http://vz.to/1nGx3rE .
    Should you need to replace the device make sure that once activated and initially connected that the software update is completed.

    I had same problem where Firefox 3.6.8 would not start or open. Spent many hours trying different things to fix it. Uninstall of previous version and reinstall did not make any difference. Finally, after uninstalling Firefox, I searched for Firefox folders and files on my computer, deleted and removed all Firefox folders and files - deleted anything and everything related to Firefox so that it will be as if I was going to download Firefox for the first time ever. Then, using another browser, I downloaded Firefox 3.6.8 and installed it. It could be that some Add-Ons or something else from the older version of Firefox or profile was interfering with the new one. It was easier to delete remove everything and install all over again clean than to figure out which part was causing the problem.
    Keep in mind, when you delete all Firefox folders and files from your computer, you are deleting all your bookmarks and all your Add-ons. If you want to keep those bookmarks, you might want to save the URLs someplace safe to bookmark them again before deleting them. You need to re-install the Add-ons also. Upon installation, it asks if you want to import bookmarks and settings from another browser or settings you might have. I imported them from my other browser. Now, Firefox works. I also installed up-to-date Add-ons.
    I hope this helps. Always keep more than one browser functioning on your computer, just in case one fails.

    Chances are you mis-typed a character in the Wifi password and the devices saved that information.  Now whenever you try to connect the device refers to the wrong password and the Jetpack does not accept your connection.  Tell your devices to forget the wireless connection and start over.
    Once you enter the proper WiFi credentials the Jetpack will allow you to connect.

    Safari will NOT block cookies, ever.  No matter what they always show up (even from advertisers on a particular site) - I have reset safari, deleted its preference file, re-installed the OS, tried a different user, tried as root user - all with same same result.  I tried to re-install Safari but was told by the OS that I need to have at least 10.6.7 installed and I am currently running 10.6.8!
    I have an 27" iMac running 10.6.8 with all updates, Safari 5.05.  I am also running VirusBarrier X6 10.6.12.  VirusBarrier has a cookie feature as well but it doesn't block cookies.  I have completely disabled VirusBarrier and still get the same results.

    This is true.  The "block cookies always" setting in the Privacy tab is not 100% effective (evidently Apple programmers have their own definition of "always").
    There will not be a solution from Apple. They don't care. Users that want to block cookies are almost surely poor consumers and probably troublemakers too.
    dfp mbp's fix will work but what a pain.
    It used to be one was willing to pay the Apple "tax" for a superior product, but that was then ...

    Will a bookmark feature ever be added to the ipod? I read on here previously that there was some glitch in the OS on the Ipod that would not make this possible. Every mp3 player I have ever seen at least remembers the last song played.
    After a synch, the Ipod loses this. Very annoying. If it can't remember the last song, could it at least remember the album or place on a playlist? I have done computer programming, doesn't sound like this would be too difficult to implement.

    I receive many audio files that are around 20 minutes each. I may be able to remember which one I was on, but it's a real pain to have to fast forward to the point I left off.
    Don't sync? What's the point of having a music player if I can't add to it?
