Will my apple id continue to receive imsgs after my phone is deactivated or will they be undelivered(!)?

I have an apple iphone which is deactivated and I'm wondering if even though I don't receive the messages because I don't have a cellular service connected to it anymore will instant messages sent to my apple id from other apple devices still send to it? My concern is people will send messages that obviously wont be returned but will still show to them as being received.

SMS messages will be rejected, but iMessages will still attempt to be delivered unless you disabled iMessage before abandoning your phone. You can fix that here: https://selfsolve.apple.com/deregister-imessage

Where did you get the old one? If it came from the Middle East, FaceTime was removed from those due to government regulations. It can NOT be added back to them.

HT4061 Ios7.04 update to ipad2. Will not let me continue the set up after trying to join a wifi network. Cannot cancel or start again. Cannot even switch off iPad. If you hold home button it says setup not complete continue? But it will not let me continu

Update to iOS 7.04 on ipad2. The set up screen appears but it will not let me continue the set up. It will not let me get to the next screen after choose wifi network. It is if I am stuck on the choose wifi network page. Cannot cancel or continue. Cannot switch it off. Holding home button brings set up is not complete message. But it won't let me continue. Please help. What else an I try to get through the set up?

On occasion I will have 13 plugin-containers.exe launch right after I start Firefox typicaly there will be none which is what I expect since my startpages do not have any apps. Why is this?

Compaq laptop with 500MM memory
Startpage(s) is Google and LinkedIn logon screens
Disabled all but Flash and Java
9 out of 10 times (ish) FF launch's with 0 plugin-containers.exe
When 13 launch startpage will not load
When startpage does not load I reboot, start FF, and usually don't have a problem.
After hours on the computer it becomes unusably slow and there will be 13 plugin-containers.exe
I know this computer is under powered but I only use it for mail and LinkedIn. Replacing or upgrading memory is not an option for me.

Use the trackpad to scroll, thats what it was designed for. The scroll bars automatically disappear when not being used and will appear if you scroll up or down using the trackpad.
This is a user-to-user forum and most people will post on here if they have problems. You very rarely get people posting to say there update went smooth. The fact is the vast majority of Mountain Lion users will not be experiencing any major problems with the OS, or maybe with apps which are not compatible, but thats hardly Apple's fault if developers don't update their apps.

Does it only shut down after twenty minutes when your Apple TV is streaming from the computer, or does it shut down after twenty minutes under any circumstances.
When you say shut down, do you mean the computer shuts down, goes to sleep or crashes.

Upgaded ios on 3gs to ios 6.0. Manual connect to wifi and works. Will not reconnect after the phone shuts off unless I do it manually. The old ios would. Suggestions??

Settings, Reset, Reset Network Settings. Then attempt to connect again. Passwords will be deleted when you do this, so it will ask for the password again. After that, see if it will connect.

I turned the phone off for 30+ minutes and also tried to reset it, but the problem continues. Any ideas on how to solve the problem?

Double click the home button and swipe up the messages app to stop it, then open the app again. This pretty much completely stops the process and freshly opens it again, resolving problems at times. I have had this happen before as well on my iPad, I get a banner, check messages, and nothing new is there.
If that doesn't work, close the app like suggested above, but then restart the phone by holding down the home and lock button for 10-15 seconds until the apple logo appears.

I recently changed my Apple ID username and password and now get a message each time I open my iPad to enter my Apple ID to continue to receive downloads. However the message shows the old username for my Apple ID.

I recently changed my Email address which required me to change my username for my Apple ID and my password. The changed has been successful, but each time that I open my iPad, I get a message that I need to enter my Apple ID to continue to receive downloads. The problem is that the username that comes up for entry of the password is the OLD Apple ID username. I have entered the old password and then then I am directed that it is not correct and given advice to change my password or username. I can't figure out how to resolve this issue.

If you updated your existing account then try logging out of it on the iPad by tapping on the id in Settings > iTunes & App Stores and then log back in and see if that 'refreshes' the account on the iPad.

Check the hosts file or TCP/IP filtering, which might cause communication issues between iTunes, ports, and servers.

I think you can solve your problems by removing your AppleID email address from BOTH the Messages setting on your iPhone and the iMessages settings on your Mac.
On iPhone:
Settings > Messages > iMessage > Dissabled
Settings > Messages > Send & Receive > touch the "(i)" < touch "Remove This Email"
On Mac:
Open "Messages" application
Click "Messages menu > Preferences
Click "Accounts"
Select your AppleID account
Under the "You can be reached for messages at" settings, uncheck your AppleID email address and your phone number
Then uncheck the "Enable this account" setting
And lastly, ask all of your friends with iPhones to delete all iMessage conversations (blue bubbles) in their entirety.
To test, send a friend a new text using their phone number (not their email address) and watch the color of the bubble. If it's green then you are using SMS.

Try booting in Safe Mode by holding your Shift key down when booting. Also, try holding the eject key down when booting to eject the DVD. If you plug a mouse in and hold the clicker down when booting, that should eject the DVD.

You get an update notice for an app that is not installed on your Mac. Is there a stranger's Apple ID also appearing on your Mac related with this update?
If so, you have a pirated app on your Mac. If not, it should be another issue.
