Will my elements 12 work with OS X Yosemite, it keeps hanging overtime I use eraser?

Is the problem going to be fixed so elements 12 can work properly with OS X Yosemite?

I think you will be out of luck. I doubt Adobe will patch software, that is not current, to work with an OS that didn't exist when the product was developed.

Neale

  • Will Photoshop Elements 10 work with Microsoft 8.1 operating system?

When selecting the option e-mail from the Elements Organizer to share a picture, the program stops with a note from Elements Organizer stating they could not finish creating the e-mail message. I never experienced this problem when it was operating in my older computer running on Windows XP.  Will Photoshop Elements 10 work with Windows 8.1?

Depends on what e-mail client you're using. I believe that for W8 you need to install the Windows 7 version of Windows Live Mail.

  • Hello, Will Photoshop Elements 6 work with Windows 7?

Will Photoshop Elements 6 work with Windows 7?
    Thankyou,

PSE6 would install and work on windows 7 fine. There might be some issues where application interacts with OS, so you can expect some issues in OS dialog boxes that are opened in application like import dialog box.

  • Will Photoshop Elements 12 work with Mac OS X v10.9.4? Need to make sure before opening package... Thanks!

Will Photoshop Elements 12 work with Mac OS X v10.9.4? I need to make sure before opening package... Thanks in advance!

Yes, PSE versions 6 through 12 work in 10.9, although PSE 11 is a bit buggy. All other versions are fine, including PSE 12.

  • Will Premiere Elements 4 work with Windows 7?

I am going to have to upgrade to Windows 7 from XP.  Will my Premiere Elements 4 work with Windows 7?

    Monoscope
Premiere Elements 4 works great in Windows 7 Professional SP1 64 bit computer. I have been there and am doing that along with other versions of the program on the same computer.
Do not go to the desktop icon for Premiere Elements 4 and set a compatibility setting in the Properties.
Just make sure that you are running the program from a User Account with Administrative Privileges and perhaps also with a Run As Administrator (right click desktop icon, select Run As Administrator). Latest version of QuickTime remains a must.
Does Premiere Elements 4 meet your video editing needs, feature-wise and otherwise? If so, stay with it. If not, explore the latest version 12 via a tryout from Adobe before any thoughts of purchase.
The above is my take on your inquiry. Please let us know if you need clarification on anything written.
    Thanks.

Add On...If you need a computer environment with greater resources for your Premiere Elements workflows, then you need to look at specifically Premiere Elements 10, 11, or 12 specifically on Windows 7, 8, or 8.1 64 bit.

  • Will Premiere Elements 12 work with the  NVIDIA GFORCE GT 820M GPU?

I am researching new computers, and we want to buy Premiere Elements 12. The computer we are looking at comes with an NVIDIA GFORCE GT 820M GPU. This GPU does not appear in the list of "certified" GPUs on the Adobe web site. I was just wondering if Premiere Elements will work with this type of GPU?
    Thanks!

What computer operating system is involved?
With the exception of Premiere Elements 10, Premiere Elements works with most NVIDIA and ATI video cards/graphics cards.
The CUDA cards for Premiere Pro do not apply to Premiere Elements which, since version 8.0/8.0.1, does not even have GPU effects or transitions.
NVIDIA lists the GT820M as a "CUDA Enabled GeForce Product"
    CUDA GPUs
GeForce 820M Dedicated Graphics | GeForce
My answer to your question is a "probably yes" but CUDA Enabled is not applicable to Premiere Elements.
Unless you get a definite answer from a Premiere Elements 12/12.1 user here who is using the card in his/her particular computer operating system with Premiere Elements 12/12.1, I would consider contacting NVIDIA for its input.
Are you thinking about staying with Premiere Elements or going to Premiere Pro in the near future?

  • Will Premier Elements 10 work with 3D camera SONY HDR-TD20VE?

I'm going to buy 3D camera, but doubtfull that I could edit its movies with Premier Elements 10. Any suggestions?

In the meantime, I would investigate some other NLE programs.
While I have both versions of Adobe Premiere, I also have a few others, for specific tasks, which they handle better. No shame in that.
I could be wrong, but do not think that PrE 11 will have much, in the way of 3D, based on the recent release of PrPro CS 6, with no change in 3D. I had anticipated that there might be some improvements, over CS 5 and CS 5.5, but nothing changed. That can be a bit of a harbinger, for PrE, which is on a 12 mos. schedule, while PrPro is on about an 18 mos. schedule. HIstorically, features rather trickle up/down a bit, between those two programs, though because of the marjor differences between them, those are usually smaller features. For instance, PrE got full-AVCHD and VOB Import, before PrPro did. The features are usually fairly subtle, but can be "game-changers" for some users. Still, with no change from the PrPro/CineForm 3D in CS 6, tells me that not much new will be introduced in PrE 11, regarding 3D, unless it now incorporates the ability to use one of the less expensive CineForm 3D plug-ins?
Do check out Neale's recommendation for Corel. I have never used that program, but have seen it recommended fairly often. IIRC, that was the old Ulead video program, which was bought by Corel of Canada.
    Good luck,

PS - I have three friends, who are in the "business," and they were just at CES (Consumer Electronics Show), where new technologies, and equipment, are often introduced - just like NAB. Each recounted that other than a few more 3D offerings, not much new on that front. They are all still waiting for the "next" generation, to see if there is more consumer support for 3D. So far, it has not taken off, since the initial release. It is sort of like BD, where the consumer is just not rushing to embrace the new technology. Now, Sony did a great deal, in the design/implementation/development of BD, that have hurt the format. They attempted to make it difficult, to impossible for consumers to work with the format. Their goal was to ONLY sell the commercially available discs, and many with their films on them. DVD got a real leg up, many years ago, when any consumer could easily create a DVD-Video. DVD sales are still going very strong, if one figures in the age of the format, and it appears that rather than BD, consumers will go to streaming media, in HD, rather than BD. I am seeing fairly new BD releases going for US $8.00, or about the same price as the DVD-Video version. BD players are now down where DVD-Video players were 5 years ago. I wonder if 3D will ever fully catch on? Right now, my friends, who make a living selling home theaters, and such, are still on the side-lines, waiting. They have few clients, even thinking 3D for some significant home theaters.
    Good luck, and happy research.

I have looked for PRE 11 online, incl. Amazon, but it's "not available" or
    "discontinued."
For informational (non promotional reasons) I would call your attention to the following which is currently displayed at Amazon.
Amazon say In Stock (Is that a misprint that becomes evident when you tried to place the order)?
    http://www.amazon.com/Adobe-Premiere-Elements-OLD-VERSION/dp/B0093FROFM/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8 &qid=1389139027&sr=8-2&keywords=Premiere+Elements+11
How do you want to integrate the program relates to getting the Elements Organizer Slideshow Editor slideshow into a Premiere Elements project in the .psess, non wmv, route using the Slideshow Editor's Output option "Edit With Premiere Elements Editor". When you go this route, the Premiere Elements option "Break Apart Elements Organizer Slideshow"  command is available and enables you to do significant additional edits to the slideshow. This type of integration is typically available with integrated sets, such as 12/12, 11/11, etc.
If you are using the Elements Organizer as a storage place for organized videos, you could import them into any version of Premiere Elements version (provided the formats are supported by the version) from their computer hard drive save location.
Both Photoshop Elements 11 and Premiere Elements 12 are standalone program programs that come with an Elements Organizer, one with Elements Organizer 11 and the other with Elements Organizer 12. If you have an dedicated bunch of organized videos in Elements Organizer 11, you can convert that catalog in Elements Organizer 12 that comes with Premiere Elements 12.
    With all those words...
Photoshop Elements 11/Premiere Elements 11, same catalog database....if you can find a copy of Premiere Elements 11
Photoshop Elements 11/Premiere Elements 12, and look into converting the Elements Organizer 11 catelog with the videos once you open Elements Organizer 12 in your purchased Premiere Elements 12.
Check out what is less expensive...
    a. Buy the bundled Photoshop Elements 12/Premiere Elements 12
    b. Buy Premiere Elements 12
    c. Buy Premiere Elements 11
Please review. If you need clarification on anything written, please do not hesitate to ask.

  • Will Photoshop Elements 7 work with Windows 7?

I am considering upgrading my laptop's operating system from Windows Vista to Windows 7 and just wanted to make sure that my photoshop (ver7) which i payed for when i bought the laptop, would still work even with the upgraded operating system.
    Thanks.

You should be alright, however you would have to save you actual catalog files, and also transfer the photos to another machine while you make the upgrade, then reconstruct the file structure exactly as it was in Vista. This supposes you will be doing a clean install of the new OS, which would include a reformat of the HDD. Even if you are planning an upgrade installation, you would be best advised to back everything up.
What I'm saying here is, if you want to install PSE-7 in Windows 7, yes, it will work, even in 64bit Win 7. But, if you expect to be able to transfer the collection intact to the new installation, you will have to do some prep work to make this happen.
Transfering catalogs to a new machine, operating system, or a different version of PSE is a common discussion here, and some research of these types of threads would likely be of great benefit to you before you make the move.
There is another consideration with respect to the laptop itself. You need to check if the proper drivers will be available from the manufacturer's website for Windows 7. If your machine never shipped with Win 7, you could have problems. Many Vista drivers will poissibly do the job under the new OS, but it isn't anything I would count on as a certainty.

You must install the TWAIN driver:

However, it may still not work, since some scanners are not compatible with the 64-bit PSE 12. Epsons have the most problems, unfortunately.

  • Will intros creative pen work with adobe sketch?

Will intros creative pen work with adobe sketch?

    Woah!
It will accelerate stuff in Premiere, but not After Effects.
The only thing the GPU really accelerates in After Effects is the (obsolete) ray-traced renderer. More details here: GPU (CUDA, OpenGL) features in After Effects
And (not that it matters because you have more powerful 3d options in the current version of AE,) the 900 series cards DO NOT work to accelerate the ray-traced renderer. The ray-traced renderer works using NVIDIA's Optix library. NVIDIA changed that library on their newest cards and the new cards will not work to accelerate the ray-traced renderer. Since the After Effects team isn't putting any more development into the ray-traced renderer, new cards aren't going to work with it.
This page has the list of approved cards for accelerating the ray-traced renderer if you really want to use it for some reason.
Now, some third-party effects DO make use of the GPU (Red Giant's Universe, Video Copilot's Element 3d, Mettle's ShapeShifter, etc.), but AE's requirements have no bearing on that and the GTX 970 will work nicely with them.
Also, Premiere makes much use of the GPU so, if you use Premiere, check their requirements.
