It does work, but only some of the time - it seems to need a kick in the *** though. Sometimes it links to the TV right away, some times it takes some switching between apps or videos in the camera roll, and now for some reason, it takes plugging my wife's phone in first and then swapping phones once her's is recognized and TV output connection made before mine will output signal to the TV.
And it seems to do video only with some apps and audio only with others, and then nothing with yet others. I guess I just expected it to work, given that we both have freshly updated iphones (4.3), good cables and 2 HD TV's to test with... -

You should read this Apple page: http://www.apple.com/osx/how-to-upgrade/?cid=wwa-us-kwg-mac-com While you can install Yosmite, many cool features will not work on pre-2012 models, including: Handoff and Instant Hotspot, AirDrop, AirPlay Mirroring, Peer-to-Peer AirPlay and Power Nap. Additionally, if you have not already upgraded your iPhoto library from iPhoto 8.1.2 (as I have not), I believe you will need to purchase the upgrade after you install Yosemite based on what I read here: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/6602872 . Hi just wondering if i need to upgrade my RAMM to be able to run Lion on my mid 2007 20inch iMac, i've got a 2011 Macbook pro which will easily run it i know, but was just wondering if my iMac will be all right.
It will not install unless it detects at least 2 GBs of RAM is present. Just upgrade your RAM. Your machine can accommodate up to 6 GBs using 2 - 200-pin PC2-5300 (667MHz) DDR2 SO-DIMMs.
Look for suitable RAM at DataMem or OWC. -
Will script written in 2012 SP1 be able to run in version 11.1?
I am writing a script in 2012, but I just found out that one of my end users is only on version 11.1.
Will they be able to successfully run the script or are there too many differences between versions?

There's a good chance it will run in 11.1, and if you're motivated you can always adapt it to run even if it doesn't at first. The issue is mainly that there are new commands that have released between 11.1 and 2012 that 11.1 can't use. Attached are documents that list the new features for those versions.

Will I be able to run these games??
I've been trying to research this but I'm getting mixed messages. I know the graphics card on the Macbook isn't great but I'm not a huge gamer. Would I be able to run games like Sims 2 and Age of Empires III? I plan to get all the memory/speed upgrades on the Macbook. Thanks!!

according to the specs of these games the MacBook is able to run them.
But you have to bear in mind, that you might have to turn down the graphics details to get a decent gameplay.
Especialy AOE III is quite a challenge for the MacBook.
The graphics chip in the MacBook (Intel GMA950) is not that capable for playing games.
If you have the opportunity to try at least the Demo versions on a MacBook, then do it before you buy.

Hi, will the asus q200e 11.6" touchscreen windows 8 laptop with a intel i3 processor run games like call of duty and battlefield, or should I look at the asus K series 15.6" laptop with a AMD 8 processor. I know the AMD is going to be better but I want a touch screen and my budget is $480. so basically I want to know if the q200e will run these game ok on the i3.

Most laptops have an onboard graphics card due to space limitations, which is fine for normal computer use, but will really struggle when it comes to gaming.
I understand wanting to have a computer that is portable and can cover multiple uses, but gaming is probably the top thing that drastically changes the computers you'll be looking it when it comes to uses for the computer.
My suggestions, if you still want to go with a laptop, would be something online that has dedicated graphics. I'll actually check Best Buy for you and see if there are some reasonably priced gaming laptops. I'll post back later. -
Graphic Card for HP Envy 15 x360
I bought HP Envy 15 x360 on recommendation of salesman for gaming in may 2015. Aside from Atila Total War it was running most of Games like Civilization V and Civilization IV in Windows 8. Yesterday I upgraded to Windows 10 and now all of my games are gtting stuck. Especially for Civ V and Civ IV. The graphics are not smooth and its running a lot of time to get to the next turn. Plus in the middle of games, key board button and mouse stop responding. So I a not sure, is it a graphics problem or the Hard Ware Problem. Plus I am not getting any graphic properties in windows 10 and i did not see any graphic drivers for Envy 15 x360. So now what should i do. 1) Wait for the HP: To make display drivers for Envy 15 x360 in Windows 10 incase it is a software glitch. 2)Install Video Graphics card: I will be pleased if someone shares me information regarding it. Can we install graphics card in Envy 15 x360. 3)Buy a new Lap Top: I just bought this 3 months ago so i would not be happy with this option. 4) Change this with new HP Lap top Model. Is it possible to change it with the new Lap Top from HP having better graphics Card. I will be happy to pay for the difference in the price plus additional for the 3 month use of the Lap Top.
Do you know what graphics chip you have? There are a few versions of the Pavilion 15 x360 and we need to know exactly what we are dealing with. I can tell you for sure that Options 2 and 4 are not going to happen. There is no physical means or method to install a video card inside your laptop. The video is just one of the chips soldered right to the motherboard. There is no HP trade-in/upgrade program as you describe.

I want to upgrade to Lightroom 5, but I'm concerned about compatibility with my 2008 intel Core 2 Duo iMac with only 4G of Ram. Will I be able to run Lightroom 5 okay if I upgrade from Snow Leopard to Lion? What will happen to the applications that aren't 64-bit compatible? Also the Eye-one Display 2 colorimeter to calibrate the monitor will not run on Lion, so that will be an expensive upgrade to an i1DisplayPro. Is the upgrade important enough to offset the expense? I have an Epson R2000 printer. Will there be problems with the drivers if I upgrade to Lion? It would be great to hear from other mac users who are also photographers and who print their own photos.

Looking at http://www.everymac.com/ even the earliest 2008 iMac was fully 64 bit, even though Boot Camp doesn't support 64 bit Windows on that machine. -

The phone will only show it's location if it is connected to cellular network or Wi-Fi. If those options are switched off, you can't locate the phone.

After searching around for any pointers to my problem, the above fixes I listed were the things that came closest to maybe addressing the issue, that I was able to locate. But since none worked, and as you pointed out, it is now clear they will only help towards viewing sent images rather than helping with inserting any images in the body of the email, which is the problem I suddenly started facing today.
Coming to your suggestion, on opening the Write window, the Insert choice on the menu bar is indeed available. And I had already tried using that, by clicking on the '''Insert ----> Image''' option listed. That opens
up the "Image Properties" box but using that has not resolved the matter either. It results in an image box getting inserted within the email but without the actual image itself.
Plus, normally I am able to use the '''Paste''' function in the Edit menu or through right-click, but today the (Cut/Copy/Paste) functions have gone inactive, thereby disallowing me to use that to place an image within the email. -
