Will my iphone 3gs transfer music when upgrade to iso5
I have a Power PC G5 running 10.4.11.
I want to upgrade my iphones 3gs from ios4 to iso5.
I have itunes 9 - which according to itunes is the latest one I can have.
Itunes says I can, my concern is that when I upgrade the phone I will no longer be able to transfer music over. I know it wont over wifi- which is no big deal. Will it work when its plugged in?

To use iOS 5, you need iTunes 10.5.x.
To run iTunes 10.5.x, you need OS X Leopard.
Don't update the 3Gs unless you first update iTunes.

I have just rceived an upgrade to an iPhone 3GS. Now, when I visit the Store all the prices are in US dollars, not a big problem but I cannot edit my card details or contact to a UK address. I cannot see how to change this.

I tried to restore the feed http://feeds.feedburner.com/imananddinasbroadcast but feedburner refused.
I know that I missed things up but I still have hope in working things out.

I m having problems with both my iphone 3gs and 4 when my cellular data is on and my battery is fully charge but out of suddenn it will shut off can i know how can i troubleshoot this issue thanks
simply try doing a back up and restore
when going thru the activation screen, select SET UP AS NEW and then test your device. if it is not shutting down then it could be 1 or more apps tht have been downloaded wch could be affecting the device
you will then need to follow the process of eleimnation, meaning add 2 apps and then monitor your phone, if nothing happes then add another couple of them and then check

I have an older iPhone (3gs) and need to upgrade to a newer phone (4S). I need to get my NOTES, CALENDAR, CONTACTS, PICTURES, etc backed up on iTunes so I can get that data loaded onto the new phone. But not sure how to do that. When I open iTunes it has a button that say "Back Up iPhone", but I'm not sure what that does. When I go into the sync options it say I have another user account and asks me if I want to merge of replace. I'm assuming it's trying to tell me I have an older iTunes Library, but don't know that. Geez, maybe people over 60 shouldn't have iPhones, iTunes just bafles me.

I tried upgrading to leopard, even bought the software and brought it home but it wouldn't let me. So i went back to apple, gave them the specifications of the machine and been told my machine is simply too old for leopard. This is incredible to me because it really isn't THAT old (i think just a little over 6 years maybe) and yet i'm left out on the curb when it comes to using newer apple products. I understand technology moves on but the mindset that i am supposed to dump a perfectly working machine after a couple of years or face not being able to use any other apple product is counter to what thought apple was about. -

I currently have version 10.6.3 for iTunes. After downloading the new IOS7 software, my phone will not let me transfer music to it without version 11.1 of iTunes. I have gone through and downloaded the missing versions of iTunes (10.6.8, 10.7) and when i try to upload them onto my computer, I receive and error message saying I need version 10.6. Why does my iphone 3gs shut down when battery shows 80%. a couple of months ago is shut down at 60% but has continually gotten worse. this was before 5.0. i took it to a repair man and he tried a used battery, a new battery, and the original battery. nothing helped. 5.01 didnt help either. What is my problem?
Fully discharge the battery (till it shuts down and won't turn on) and then fully recharge it (100%). This will recalibrate the battery meter. You may need to do this a few times.

I have an unlocked iphone 3gs how do i upgrade without losing my unlocked status without having to pay to unlock it again.
Updating and restoring does not lock, but if you have a jailbreak (not AppleSoftware) and you return to Apple Software then it will lock. After all Apple has to keep to the law. It is even possible, that the jailbreak software makes it impossible to install Apple Software again and your iPhone will be inoperable after you try the update.
So If you officially unlocked you are fine and if you had a jailbreak, there is nothing an Apple forum can do for you. -

Will an iPhone 3GS work in iCloud?
Will my iPhone 3GS work with iCloud? I realize I need OS5 on the phone to get the fancy stuff but will all the syncing still work with the calendar, addresses, notes and such?
icloud is part of iOS5 which runs on the 3GS ( not on the 3G ), so everything in iCloud will work.
To be able to sync between other devices, they must all run also iOS5 and for a Mac 10.7.2 Lion. PCs with XP wont work as Vista is needed.
So if you have Macs that can't run Lion, PCs that don't have Vista/Win7 with Outlook07 / 10 or iOS devices that can't run version5 these will no longer sync with the iOS5 3GS. -
