WIll my iphone 5c automatically connect to an available wi-fi from the cellular mode or do I have to set the phone manually to go to wi-fi ?
It will if your iPhone has successfully connected with an available wi-fi network when returning within range of such a network as long as wi-fi is on.

I just bought an unlocked Iphone 5 a few weeks ago. I'm using it perfectly except I don't have a nano sim inserted. I have AT&T. I had a Samsung before buying the Iphone 5 and I blocked the internet access through cellular service on the Samsung. I was wondering if I buy a nano sim (using my old number) and insert it in my Iphone 5, would it automatically register me to a data plan? Would it automatically connects to the internet through cellular service even though I've never signed up for it? Yes I only want to use the Wifi on my Iphone. I do not want to pay extra money for the data plan. Keep in mind that my Iphone is unlocked already. I heard my friends saying that if you use an ATT sim on an Iphone, it will force you to use internet through the cellular service. Is that true?
Thank you for reading my question.That is true, AT&T does not allow the use of smartphones without a data plan on their network. Unlocking has nothing to do with this and I'm wondering why someone would pay that much money for a phone they are not going to use.

I have programmed my Iphone to automatically connect to confcalls (dialing the nbr, pausing, dialing the PIN code).
Works fine from the Iphone as such.
When I connect my Iphone in Bluetooth to the voice-driven system in my car (Mercedes C), only the phone number appears to be transmitted. Entering a conference call number via the Iphone while driving is not a good idea.

i was hoping Apple would add that feature or the ability to connect to my computer via WiFi or Bluetooth and sync it wirelessly... It would be sweet to have the bluetooth and wireless opened up so you can do more than just connect to headphones or a headset...
I upgraded to the iPhone 4 this past december, i am on replacement # 2 or my 3rd iPhone 4... I was hoping for some upgrades in quality. Also being left handed, it seemed to drop many calls and give me very poor reception. i added a Griffin Elan Form Graphie case that covers all but the front, top button, bottom speakers and volume control buttons and the call and reception quality has improved. But I sure would have loved to see some improvements in the quality and function of the phone...

i plugged in my iphone to restore it but while restoring itunes shutdown itself . if my iphone is not connected to the mac itune works but when i connect my iphone to my mac itunes does not open at all.

Automatically connecting to BT device from Handset...not good
This is my first and most likely not my last inquiry.
I have a BB 8900 Curve on ATT running version 4.6.1.315
Very simple (to most) uncurable (to me)
Recently, the past 48 hours, my phone has taken control of itself. I am now being prompted to use the handset when making or receiving calls. I get no audio whatsoever from the handset when using the phone as a stand alone unit. If I make a call from the handset it still connects to BT audio as the primary source. I can activate the call by selecting the menu, then enable handset or enable handset speaker. This has never happened in the previous 5 months I've had the phone.
The only BT device I use is in my car and that syncs automatically. The BT in the BMW is only active with the key in the ignition and the car running, other than that I have never even seen the connection available with the car off.
Apps that I use all the time is drive safe.ly, and Pandora radio, both through the BT audio from my car. Let's rephrase that... 3rd party apps I use all the time.
I have gone through every setting and app that the phone has and cannot seem to cure this bug. It is annoying, if anyone has seen or cured this I would love to know what is going on here. I am trying, unsuccessfully, to restore my iPhone 4 from recovery mode. When I attempt to restore through iTunes I get a message telling me the process cannot be completed because of an error 3194. There is no documentation or information on what this error means - and how to restore the phone when this message appears. Can anyone help?
This usually means you previosly used an iPhone hacking utility such as tinyumbrella, altering the hosts file on your computer, and blocking access to the apple server, gs.apple.com.

Install the latest version of iTunes.

Connection Pool Name Missing from Drop Down when Creating a New Datasource

I'm running Weblogic Server 8.1. I've successfully created a connection pool for DB2 using the Non-XA JDBC driver from IBM (Version 7.1). When I attempt to create a datasource for this pool and un-check the "Honor Global Transactions" checkbox, the connection pool is missing from the dropdown on the next page of the wizard. If I check the checkbox, the connection pool appears in the list.
I experience this behavior on one instance of Weblogic Server, but not on another (I can see the pool whether or not the check box is checked).
Is there some setting on the connection pool that could cause this behavior?
Any help would be appreciated.

I would have you compare the JDBCConnectionPool entry
between the two instances. -
IPhone 5 automatically connects to wifi
My problem is the exact opposite of others'. Although I have it set to ask before signing on to new wifi connections, if I pass a place that uses the same cable service as I have in my home, it signs on. And, when the phone connects to an unknown wifi I can't get mail or web service, which is a good thing since I am not notified and don't automatically know I'm on wifi so there is the security issue. The error is that there is not a connection. I have to turn wifi off in order to do so. Totally annoying as I usually forget to turn wifi back on when I get home and use data unnecessarily. It started happening when I got the new phone (5) and I switched carriers from ATT to Verizon - two variables. Any ideas out there?
Try Settings > Wifi and set Ask to Join Networks to OFF. This will require you to manually select a network if no known networks are available.
Also use Settings > General > Reset > Reset network settings to remove all spurious known networks. -
