Will my lexmark 8350 work with my intel based iMac running leopard

I have a lexmark 8350 all-in-one printer. Will it work with my iMac?
Thanks
buck

Seems that Lexmark does not make a driver for OS X nor is one included with OS X.
Best to return it and find one that has drivers for OS X. If you want a Lexmark product, then here you will find the lists of compatible products.

I used migration assistant and my ethernet cable to move data and apps from my 5-yr old Intel-based iMac to my brand new Intel-based iMac running OS Lion. The old machine was running OS 10.5.8.  Not all my files transferred (or I can't find them).  I've seen recommendations to select the old computer in System Preferences, but that didn't work.  Help.  Thanks!

IMO, wrong choice. Start over, using a FireWire cable and following the steps in Pondini's Setup New Mac guide.

  • Graphite base station not working with my Intel Based Mac Mini and iPhone.

My Airport Express died after 2 years of use. I had to resort to plugging in my old but still functioning Graphite Airport base station. Since the set up assisant on my Mac mini does not work with the older base station, I used my G4 400 tower to set it up. I got it working and tested the connection. On to testing my iPhone. It sees the new network. Password is entered and the wifi icon shows full signal strength, but does not connect to the web. Next I try my Mac mini out on the new network and it too sees the network, but does not connect to the web. I double check the older G4 and the connection is still strong and fast. I shut the G4 down thinking that maybe the Graphite can only support one computer at a time, and the Mac mini and iPhone still can't connect to the web. I'm not sure what to do with this one. Is there a setting that I need to use? As far as security goes, the Graphite base station was set up with a WEP password. Any help would be great

I suggest using AirPort Admin Utility (version 4.2) to check the base station settings and change them, if necessary. (AirPort Admin Utility should be able to configure a Graphite base station from a computer running Mac OS X 10.4, even though AirPort Setup Assistant can't.)
In the Network pane of AirPort Admin Utility, please make sure that "Distribute IP addresses" and "Share a single IP address (using DHCP and NAT)" are checked, and that everything else is unchecked. I am assuming that the Graphite is the only router in your local network and that there are no computers connected via Ethernet.
The Access Control pane of AirPort Admin Utility should list either all of the relevant AirPort ID's or nothing. You can find the AirPort ID of an OS X computer by looking at System Preferences>Network>Show:AirPort>AirPort.
The Internet pane of AirPort Admin Utility should be set in accordance with your Internet provider's requirements. Most likely, it should be set to Connect Using:Ethernet and Configure:Using DHCP.
After verifying the settings, power down the computers, base station and cable or DSL modem for a few minutes, then start them up sequentially, leaving time for each to get fully up and running: first the modem, then the base station, and finally the computers.
The network preferences on the Mac Mini and the iPhone are also relevant. I assume that the preferences are unchanged from those that worked with the AirPort Express.
    I hope this helps.

  • Weak signal with my intel based imac

    well,
i am unable to connect to my wireless linksys router in the other room. i have a Dell laptop that connects with 100% signal strength, but my imac will connect with 1 bar if it connects at all. most of the time it just says error connecting to:
i was able to connect to it when my imac was on the same desk as the router.
could my wireless card be bad?
    thanks for any help.

    Hi lucifuge777!
Update the router's firmware. Get that from the router maker's website, in their support section. The AirPort card's connection could be loose, but you can't fix that on your own.
Try setting up a new configuration for an AirPort connection in your Network panel of System Preferences. Click the "Assist me..." button at the bottom, then the blue "Assistant..." button on the drop-down. Network Setup Assistant will open and walk you through it. Be sure to activate the radio button for "I use AirPort to connect to the Internet wirelessly." Your prior configurations will not be changed and will be saved. You can rename the new configuration later, if it works out.

  • Will a Saittek Eclipse usb keyboard work with an Intel Mac Mini?

The Saittek Eclipse is my favorite keyboard.
Anybody know if it will work with an Intel Mac Mini.
Box only says Windows, but I'm just wondering if everything except volume controls will work fine? (it is also illuminated, with a light level control, but I'm guessing this shouldn't matter with Windows vs OS X?)

I am a writer though  and a photographer (strictly point and shoot) for a couple of orgs.  I just don't want o run out of space.  And I hate!! slow response time.
Is the i5 adequate as well?
Glad to have found an Apple guru so quickly.  May very well buc you more in the future.

  • What earlier version of FCP will work with the intel-3processor?

what earlier version of FCP will work with the intel-3 processor?

The version of the CR designer that the reports were created in is really not that important. Though more on that below. What you need is Crystal Reports XI R2A (11.5.x). That is the last version of CR to ship the Report Designer Component  (RDC) that you are presumably using at this time. Note that this version is out of support thus no fixes, no phone support, though we welcome your queries on these forums. To obtain CR XI R2A you will have to contact sales; 866-681-3435. Do not get CR 2008 (12.x) as this version does not ship the RDC and only has the SDK for .NET and Java.
Re. version of the reports. While the version of the designer the reports were created in should not be that important, the older the designer, the more potential problems you may run into. Updating the reports to CR XI R2A is highly advised. You can do this manually by simply opening the reports in the designer and saving them - making sure they still run once that is done. Alternatively, you can do this in code by simply using the .SaveAs method, or exporting to rpt file format. This may not however update the database connectivity correctly (the database engine was completely rewritten in CR 9) and testing will be needed to make sure these reports still work. This is particularly true of your version 8 reports. Version 9 reports and later should be OK.

  • Will the Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ10 work with my Intel Core 2 MBP?

Will the Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ10 work with my Intel Core 2 MacBook Pro and/or will I have to upgrade OSX & iLife (£122GBP).  Have seen that AVCHDLite is not directly compatible with Mac, but the articles are mostly 2 yrs old the panasonic website proudly displays the iPhoto and iMovie compatible icons http://panasonic.net/avc/lumix/compact/zs7_tz10/.  Have chosen this as a quality compact camera with wide angle lens, powerful optical zoom & a marine housing.

AVCHD is not compatible with iPhoto but is with iMovie - not sure about AVCHDLite

  • Will Parallels work with XP SP1 on imac?

PC user switching over to Mac. I'm getting my new intel based imac and wanted to ask if my OEM disc of XP pro Sp1 will work with PARALLELS during installation, if not, what are my options...
Will my XP SP1 serial key work with somebody else's XP SP2 Disc ?

It depends. Retail versions will work fine, but many OEM disks contain modifications that lock them to a particular hardware configuration (for example, you wouldn't expect to be able to use the WinXP install disk that came with your HP desktop -- it won't work).
If you purchased an "OEM" disk with a white-box PC, there's a decent chance it will work fine.
The serial keys can also be locked to a particular vendor. So, the serial number on the OEM disk may not be usable with another OEM or retail disk.

  • Would PSE8 work with non-Intel G5 PPC Macs?

Just received the PSE8 package I ordered at school, and when ready to install on my Power PC (PPC) iMac G5 running under Mac OS 10.5.8, I decided to read the system requirements on the side of the box, and that's when I realized that only "Dual-Core Intel Mac" was listed.
I plan to buy a new iMac in the near future, but for the time being would like to know anything you may have to say about this compatibility problem I am facing. Do you know if PSE8 works with non-Intel Macs?
    Thanks.

Thanks for the answer to my question. I was afraid of that, but had to check to make sure. Will probably rush the purchase of a new iMac at an educational discount or something.
    Thanks again.

  • Does it work with 17inch Intel Macs

    Hey
I was just wondering if the new AirPort Extreme Base Station works with the 17 inch Intel Mac. I heard some people say that it wasnt compatible with these computer. Just wanted to know before i thought about buying one.
    Thanks

The new AirPort Extreme Base Station (AEBSn) will work with your 17-in iMac, but, not at 802.11n, since your iMac is not "n" ready. It will, however, work if the AEBSn radio mode is set for 802.11b/g compatibility. (ref: http://store.apple.com/1-800-MY-APPLE/WebObjects/AppleStore.woa/wa/RSLID?mco=5F3 1E0A1&nplm=D4141ZM%2FA)

  • Will the Linksys WRT160N work with windows vista at all?

Will the Linksys WRT160N work with windows vista at all?
Some one please clear this up for me, it could be answered in the simplestterms from the English Language of course.
I've recently purchased the Linksys WRT160N however after purchase "of course"I manage to find reviews stating that the router will not work with the WindowsVista Premium, or windows Vista for that matter.
E.g.(Comments like These 'which are not my own')----------
"When I tried it with a new computer running Vista 64, it would install but the Linksys System Advisor would not. After 1 chat and 4 phone calls with support the system will still not run."
"It is a good product with XP, but if you use Vista 64 good luck. After several hours of working to get it running my patience and options have run out."
"It has taken almost a week for us to figure out that the Linksys Router, WRT160N from Best Buy does not workwith Vista Premium. I looked on-line to Linksys Website and discovered that the router, WRT160N is notsupported for Vista users. .."
E.g. (CommentContradicting to what has been said above)------
"Bought this to replace my outdated Linksys (new Vista laptop) and was blown away. Thisthing practically set itself up. It replaced the wired router and wireless routers I was using, asthe signal strength is awesome. I'm still pulling over 5meg ... "
So I guess one could see why I am confused, based on the 2 sidedcontradictions pertaining to this router actually working with windows vista ornot.
So can someone respond (preferable a Vista User) and tell me the truth as of towhat this router can an cannot do in terms of Vista? Thanks

It should work with vista without any issues if you are running any software on the computers (64 bit) from linksys it may not work but if you will connect that computer with an ethernet to the router it should work fine.

You need to install the Windows version.  The serial number for the Mac version should work with the Windows version.

Yes,the WRE54G should work with WRT160N...You need to match all the wireless settings of the router to the range expander and it should work then.
