Will my m audio Project Mix work with logic x?

Hi, just wondering if my M-Audio Project Mix I/O will work with Logic X. I am currently running Mavericks.

If it works with any other CoreAudio based app on your Mac.. it should work fine with Logic Pro X as the key is .. if it is compatible with your OS X version. Its not about compatibility with Logic Pro X at all in reality... as LPX uses Core Audio which is part of OS X.
So do you have it up and running in 10.9.2 and does it work with any other audio app? If so which one(s)?
If you haven't tried yet, you may be out of luck as the last driver update for your device was way back.. for 10.7.4.... and some people had issues getting to work under Mountain Lion, let alone Mavericks...

  • Has anyone figured out how to make the Yamaha 01V96i mixer work with Logic 9.1.8

Has anyone figured out how to make the Yamaha 01V96i mixer work with Logic 9.1.8 as a control surface ?

    In YAMAHA01v96i:
Go to DIO/SETUP select Generic DAW. Go to MIDI settings page and set the desired port (personally I use Number 1), Select the same audio frequency you use in your DAW (I use 44.1KhZ)...at this point You should save a scene in you 01V96i to avoid to repeat all the procedure again.
Open studio manager, go to patch and set the input port from 17 to 32 respectively to USB1-USB16 (this will give you the return from you DAW to the 01v96i
Save again the scene overwriting the old one.
    in LOGIC
Click on preferences, select Audio then select 01v96i, then click on control surface and select Mackie design Baby HUI and in the midi session set the same port that you've been setting on the Yamaha 01V96i (Port 1 if you follow this example).
    That's more or less it.
    It worked for me...so far

  • Will the m-audio project mix i/o work with Logic X?

    Hi,
    I have a m-audio project mix i/o interface/control surface.
Will this work with Logic X?
    Thanks,
    Mike

If it works now on 10.8.4, then yes. This depends on OS X and drivers (if needed), not on Logic. Logic can only 'see' hardware that the OS can see.

  • HT5812 Will East West Quantum Leap SILVER work with Logic Pro X ?

I wonder if EWQLSO SILVER edition will work with Logic Pro X. I can't think of any reason that it should NOT but if anyone tested please let me know. The software is quite old..
    Thanks

it's worthwhile considering the VSL Special Edition, but check whether anyone else is running it on macbook, my iMac (also 4GB) is very happy with it, and some of the sounds are wonderful.

  • Mobilepre audio interface not working with logic express 8

I have been using an M-AUDIO usb interface for garageband for the last year,i recently installed logic express 8 and i just can't get any sound whilst trying to record, logic displays a signal in the channel strip but no sound comes from my monitors, only when i plug the ear phones into the interface can i hear what i'm recording.I've tried every trouble shooting option in my apple pro training book like monitoring and audio preferences.I've contacted M-AUDIO but they just put me on hold as if there really busy!!!
in the end M-audio emailed me and blamed logic, they told me to contact apple,W@**ERS!!
I'm new to this apple discussions business and hope someone can help!!

Welcome to the wonderful world of M-Audio!!! Now, what you are doing is perfectly NORMAL. You need to hook up speakers to your audio interface. Where the little diagram says so:
    http://www.m-audio.com/layout/imgview.php?i=/images/en/connectivity/big/mobilepr eusbcd779px.gif
See? The reason this is so, is because when you are using this interface, you are BOTH using the inputs AND outputs. Logic always works like this, it is a requirement to use "a full-duplex sound card" which means a sound card that has inputs and outputs.

M-audio blaming everyone else is not new, however, your "issue" is a user issue, not a gear issue.

  • Will my Euphonix (AVID) MC Mix work with Final Cut X?

I can't get it to work.
Who has to build support? Apple, AVID or both? I doubt AVID is in any rush to support the competition.

I received this reply from AVID today:
    >> As of this moment, no - Apple has not integrated EuCon support into FCPX. They have the option to do so, but would need to do the work on their end to support EuCon. Whether or not that will happen is unknown - given the nature of FCPX, my guess is that it's intentionally been left out. <<

    Hi,
I don't know anything about how your setup is plugged into each other,so I'll gracefully and carefully go out on a limb:
1.The Migraine Audio device,it has sound outputs...yes??? Are these outputs hooked up to any sound-generating devices, like speakers, yes??? If not, that would be one reason why you don't hear anything from the migraine device.
2.The Core Audio Drivers in Logic, they are configuerd correctly, yes???? They are selecting the Migraine device as the I/O,yes??? If it is not, then you might be recording with the built-in mic, oohh la la,not a good thing.
3.If you do have spekaers hooked up to the migraine-induceing device, they should be on,and the monitor knob turned to about 10am,so your migraine does not get too loud.
Did the limb I go out on break,or am i still up on the tree?

  • LOGIC STUDIO AND M-AUDIO PROJECT MIX

    Hi guys,
I purchased a new imac yesterday, 2.4ghz intel core duo with 4gb of ram and 320gb hard drive.
I also have a m-audio project mix which I bought around 4 months ago. I used to use this on my PC with cubase, however I cant get the project mix working at all now. I have of course ensured switched to logic mode lol.
I'm also using mac os x 10.5.2 and downloaded the update for logic pro 8 as well, I believe its 8.0.1
I installed the beta version drivers from m-audio website, which appears to work. I switch on the project mix, double click the m-audio firewire from my apps folder and thats ok. If I switch off the project mix theres a pop up which then says project mix not found so i'm guessing my mac is recognising the hardware. Also when I switch the MIX on and check the audio midi setup from utilities it is showing in there also.
On logic i have set the preferences/audio correctly i think. The core audio check box is ticked, the device states project mix multichannel, I/O buffer 256 and 24 bit recording is enabled.
When I go to preferences/control surfaces/setup and try scanning though nothing is found! When logic is opened none of the sliders on the project mix flick to start as they would with cubase and none of the transport buttons etc work! im getting really frustrated lol
any help would be really much appreciated
    thanks for your time
    phil

Based on the fact that I don't see it listed under Preferences>Control Surfaces>Setup>New>Install and the MAudio website says that, in the case of Logic, "DAW software must support Logic Control, Mackie Control, or HUI protocols" here http://www.m-audio.com/products/en_us/ProjectMixIO-main.html , I suspect that you will have manually add a Mackie Control/Logic Control in order use the Project Mix with Logic. Just set the input and output ports to the control i/o on the Project Mix. Or teach the Project Mix everything you want it to do manually under Preferences>Control Surfaces>Learn.

  • 10.4.8 update - M-Audio Project Mix firewire connection lost

    Wow!
I was working with 10.4.7 for months, no problem
I'm an pro user and this is my livelihood 24/7.
Now my M-Audio Project Mix I/O audio unit (firewire) can not be seen by their latest drivers (came out in Sept 2006 with support for macpro) so they aren't old drivers.
Now I have to work with the Mac audio outs....
not good for my pro setup. I generally have projects in 32 bit mode and higher than 41K audio..
    When this get fixed?
    el profesor

have the same problem with my iMac and the Audiophile.
worked just fine for over a month, then suddenly and without any changes from one day to the other went into flashing mode and when starting the app it says it doesn't find any m-audio card connected. - uninstalled with uninstaller and reinstalled freshly downloaded driver (which dates from may 2006 and not oct as another person suggested in this forum). Doesn't work.
    any suggestions would be great!
    thanks in advance-

  • External audio controllers that work with FCP

Is FCP cabable of working with external audio control interfaces such as the kind that work with Logic?
If so, any recommendations on which ones work well?
    Cheers,
    Jesse.

take a look at the Mackie MCU (control surface only) or the Tascam FW1082 (control surface/mixer hybrid)
... or any product that support the Mackie Control protocol or Logic Control should work.
smaller, interesting interfaces at the moment include
    the FireOne http://www.tascam.com/details;8,14,104.html
    and the AlphaTrack http://www.frontierdesign.com/Products/AlphaTrack
larger more extensible setups would include
    the Tascam FW1884 http://www.tascam.com/catalogue;47,14.html
with additional FE-8 units for up to 128 tracks http://www.tascam.com/products/fe-8.html

  • Will all of the CS4 programs work with Terminal Services?

I think the title sums up my question...
Will all of the CS4 programs work with Terminal Services?

You should be able to solve that problem.
MiFis have a default power setting on them that turns off the device after XX minutes of no use (As determined by the MiFi).  You can find and modify this setting in the MiFi Admin webpage.  It should be under the advanced area and can be configured to leave the MiFi on all the time.
That being said, no MiFi model will behave very well as an always on home internet replacement device.  Dedicated home cable routers and modems will always perform better, they are designed for that scenario.  By comparison MiFis are designed to be light weight travel devices, they simply do not have the hardware necessary to be left online all day long with acceptable results.  MiFis are more appropriate as a backup, mobile or temporary internet solution.
If you are looking for a home internet always on internet connection device you would be safer going with stronger hardware like a USB Modem+CradlePoint router, the VZW 4G LTE router or VZW HomeFusion.  Any of those devices are going to provide you with a better experience for your home than the MiFis without additional equiptment like boosters and antennas.  Some CradlePoint routers can be expensive but perform very well, the 4G LTE router has mixed review and the nice thing about HomeFusion is the special data plan and high powered equiptment.

  • Questions about Pre-amp of the Tascam FW1884 or M-Audio Project Mix...

    Hello everybody,
I'd like to purchase a semi-pro (I hope) audio interface.
The Tascam FW1884 or the M-Audio Project Mix with their "all in one" feature seem to fit for what I want to do.
But I don't know if the Pre-amp or the digital converters are quite good or just awfull.
Are they better or not than the FireStudio from Presonus ?
Since I need at least 8 XLR inputs, the FireStudio seems to be a good choice (but without a remote control, I know...)
Is there someone who have an answer ?
    Thanks
    Vincent
PS : pardon my English, I'm desperatly French

I have a ProjectMix and I like it. There are others that I know that like it, and there are others that don't. I've actually gotten some really nice results at times with it along with my Tube Condenser and Ribbon mics when I need it. I also plug my electric guitar into it, and I like what I get from it. It's not my main interface, but when I do use it for recording, I haven't been disappointed with it.

  • I have East/West Symphony.  Will it work with Logic express and do I have to have that little red usb drive in the computer to authorize it?

    I have East/West Symphony.
Will it work with Logic express and do I have to have that little red usb drive in the computer to authorize it?
Also, would it work with Garageband??

Thanks-that's the same driver I'm using now.
The M-audio techs were unable to tell me if Quattro would work with LE8, so I've been wasting my time and money trying to make it work.
They also gave me conflicting opinions as to whether or not "tip" polarity was an issue when using an after-market adapter. One said definitely yes, one or two others said definitely no.
Their phone tech line has a 20 to 40 minute wait when I call. The online support system is confusing, which even they admit. I don't think my next interface will be from M-audio.
Thanks very much for the response, it helps me get beyond this phase.
Is the Quattro of any use for anybody else (i.e., can I sell it or give it away)?

  • 01v96i Yamaha...will it work with logic pro X

I bought the new Yamaha 01v96i Mixer but I can't make it works with Logic pro, in the list of available DAW I only find the 01v96 which is not the same and in-fact it does not work with the 01v96i.
Does anyone have an idea on how to set Logic for it or at least does anyone know if the new Logic Pro X has the new 01v96i in the list?

    Lyford,
Again, in regards to hardware... it is not about LPX compatibility.. It is about compatibility with the OS X version and it's CoreAudio... Once you 'get' that point then everything else makes sense...
Tascam are notorious about leaving owners of "End of Line" products 'high and dry' when OS X is updated... and as you have found... the 1884 is not compatible with Mountain Lion 10.8.4 and likely will never be so... because Tascam will not be releasing Mountain Lion drivers for it.. so, it is not something you can use with LPX, which requires Mountain Lion 10.8.4 as a minimum requirement.
As an aside, Apple have acknowledged they make an error in simply using the LP9 Hardware compatibility chart for LPX (as LP9 could be used with earlier OS X versions for which there were drivers for the 1884 for example) and have said they will be issuing an updated version "in the near future"......

  • Will the Tascam FW-1884 work with Logic Pro X?

    Hello,
I notice that the new Logic is 64 bit only and yet the Tascam FW-1884 is specifically listed as a supported control surface.
Tascam has not released 64 bit drivers for this device!  Can anyone shed any light on this?  Will it work only as a control surface and not an audio interface?  Is the documentation in error?  Anyone have this working with Logic Pro X?
    Thanks,
    Lyford Rome
