Will my pictures be deleted? iOS 7 update didn't work. Now it's telling me to do a factory reset.

I went to update my iPhone to the iOS7, and right after the backup part at the beginning, something happened and it said "An unknown error ocurred. Could not complete update" so my phone just stopped working and when I went to connect it to iTunes again, it tells me that I need to restore it and do a factory reset. Is this going to delete all of my pictures?

Something went wrong with the update, this can and does happen with every version of iOS.
There is nothing wrong with the update.
Simply restore the device via iTunes on the computer.
If iTunes is stating it will take hours to update, that indicates an extremely slow Internet connection and is likely the reason the OTA update failed.

If you backup to iCloud, your apps will be downloaded again from backup if you need to restore the device. If you backup with iCloud - your app data will be in there as well.
I have never lost anything when updating my iPad. I am updating wirelesssy right now even as I type this response. I'm typing on my computer - but the iPad is in the process of updating right now.

If you copied photos to your iPod using the full resolution option, enable disk use, open your iPod in "my computer" in Windows or Finder on a Mac, open the photos folder then open the "full resolution" folder and drag the photos out of that folder to your desktop. For enabling disk use look here.

Photos as thumbnails won't be of the original quality when copied back to your computer.

iCloud gives you 5 GB of storage for free for backup. You can purchase more storage here (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4874) or back up to your computer.
http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5262 explains which is the best option for back up for your needs.
Do not reset your iPad for this issue.

It won't give me the option to sign out of the old account, it's that light grey color that you can't click on. And since it has the old email address that it's telling me to go into to verify the account, I can't actually change it... I'm stuck

I am updating a row in a table and I want to know if the update didn't work because the record doesn't exist. Is there any way of knowing this? I want to avoid doing a select first if at all possible. I am using sqlj with Oracle 9i on Linux and JDK 1.3.1.

You can delete the actual iOS 8.0.2 update, itself, but you won't be able to remove the red ball notification and Apple's update notification in the Software Update section in the General Settings area.
Go into iOS Settings app, look for the General Tab in the left hand column, in the right hand column, look for Usage.
Tap on the Usage. If your iPad is charged more than 60%, a Usage list wiil be generated (this will take a little time to generate).
Look for the iOS 8 icon.
Tap the arrow at the far right of this icon.
A new screen will slide over and there should be a long button that should appear and say Delete in red.
Tap that button and the iOS update should begin deleting, itself (this will take a few minutes, too)

Found the answer through an old string on the 5.1 update. It's under system-->general-->cellular scroll shown and turn the hotspot back on and it reappears under the first screen in system settings.

IOS 7 update crashed, fixed it, now apps gone

Yesterday I updated my iPhone 4S (64Gb) to iOS 7. During installation it crashed, which forced me to do a factory reset to get the iPhone to work again. After that I did a restore from the backup that I had made just prior to the update. This took 13 hrs (!!) and restored all my contacts, photos, notes and mail. Unfortunately ALL my apps are gone. iTunes says that there are no apps to be synced. When I look in purchased apps they're all there. But I want my old apps back, i.e. Whatsapp with all the convo's, and MyPhoto with hundreds of photos in it. I know they're in the backup, why isn't iTunes restoring them?? My backup is stored locally, I don't use iCloud. Can anyone please help?

Goto itunes -> Right click on your iphone device-> You can choose the backup which ever you think is having your data. and restore the data.
Check if you have data in the folder
C:\Users\%yourname%\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup

LMS3.2: Device Update didn't works

I have CiscoWorks LMS3.2 with RME4.3.1 and CS 3.3.0.
When I will update the devices and I go to
Common Services - Software Center Device Update
and I mark Resource Manager Essential then I receive this window:
Now I choose the Rtr2900 package (same problem for all six packages) and when I will download it, then after define the destination path for the file I see this window:
Then I have tried to download it manually with the following command:
PSUCli.bat -p rme -d -dst c:\psu_download -all
this is the result:
Number of packages to be downloaded = 55
Downloading packages...
Finished downloading [49] packages to c:\psu_download\rme
The six packages that are showed in the picture above were not downloaded.
I assume that there is an error on Cisco side because the size of the six packages is NA.
Am I right or have someone another idea why it didn't works?
Or is there another possibility to download the package for the Rtr2900?

Your Dos prompt should be CD's to where this patch (CSCto46927-0.pl) is present. Which means when you do dir on DOS prompt, you should be able to see the listing of CSCto46927-0.pl.
Also you can run it from anywhere is you give path.
Example, if your patch (CSCto46927-0.pl) is in c:/patch/CSCto46927-0 directory, you can run it like following from C:\ in command prompt:
c:\>NMSROOT\bin\perl C:\patch\CSCto46927-0\CSCto46927-0.pl
