Will my plan work?

Hello Apple community. My name is Kevin, and I just recently became a Mac user, after 12 years of Windows I finally decide to buy a MacBook Pro...and I LOVE it!!!
Anyway, I have an idea on how I want to build / upgrade my Macbook, and was wondering if it would work. So here it is.
I was told that any 2.5" SATA hard drive could be used in a Macbook, so my plan is to get a 1 TB internal hard drive, backup all my data onto an external hard drive using Time Machine, install the new 1 TB drive, reload all my Mac stuff.
Then, run boot camp, create 2 partitions of 500 GB each, and load Windows 7 on the other partition.
Will this work? Is it going to be a pain in the butt to accomplish?
A guy at the Apple store was the person who suggested I boot camp and add Windows 7, his words were "Having Mac and Windows both running on a single laptop would be like....the ultimate computer"

I just started a job at a small company as an entry level software support tech, and the company is 100% windows.
So the idea of using one laptop for both personal (mac) and professional (windows) activities really interested me.

Will data plan work?

Hi, my phone is unlocked. It is a Rogers phone, but I am using Fido (owned by Rogers). I am wondering if I get the $25 500mb data plan if it will work with my phone. When I asked Fido, they said they cannot guarantee it. When I used to own a Rogers Blackberry and tried the Fido data plan, it did not work. Does anyone know from experience or have a knowledge of if this may work? Thanks,

Backing up iTunes library stored manually on TC - will my plan work?

I'm out of space on my MacBook Pro, mostly due to lots of music. I have a Time Capsule doing Time Machine backups. I want to make sure everything is on at least two drives, but without having multiple copies of my iTunes library taking up space on any single drive. Here's my idea to solve the problem. Will this work?
1) Use Time Machine to backup my MBP (but exclude the iTunes library)
2) Store my iTunes library manually on the TC (which can stream it back to me wirelessly as needed, I think)
3) Add a 2nd external drive to the TC.
4) Use Carbon Copy Cloner (or similar) to backup iTunes folder from TC to 2nd drive.
5) Delete my iTunes library from my MBP gulp
Does anyone see any problems doing this? The only one I see is that I won't be able to access my music when I'm not home. Since I am (in theory) working when I'm not home, this doesn't seem to be a big loss for me.

I would reverse the roles of the external drive and the Time Capsule drive with respect to your music. Put your music library on that external drive. Create a "disk image" file on the Time Capsule disk big enough to hold your music for some time in the future. (The disk image file will reserve storage so that Time Machine backups don't monopolize all the space on the Time Capsule disk.) When you want to back up your music, mount that disk image and do the backup.
If you have a MobileMe account, you may be able to access your music when you're away from home.

If I buy a used iPhone 4 without a data plan will the GPS work?

I live in Canada and am a complete newbie when it comes to cell phones and data plans. I am not interested in having or paying for cellular telephone capability.
I've been using the 64 Gb iPod Touch 4 but detest its 0.7 Mb still camera and bemoan its lack of GPS.
Now that the iPhone 4S has been released, there are many folks selling their older iPhone 4s. I'd love to use one of these older iPhone units with their better camera and GPS capability, but don't want to pay for a data plan, nor am I willing to pay $850 for an unlocked iPhone 4S. I'm happy to continue using wireless internet and don't need a cell phone.
Being a newbie when it comes to data plans and cell phones, if I purchase a used iPhone 4 from someone:
1. Does it need a SIM card (activated or not) to use the GPS on it? If yes, must a deactivated SIM card be provided by the seller or where can I obtain one?
2. Does the iPhone 4 need to be on a cellular plan to use the GPS?
3. I can use a deactivated iPhone 4 on WiFi only as I've been doing with the iPod Touch 4, correct?
4. If I can use a deactivated, non-contract iPhone 4 on WiFi only, will the GPS work and allow me to use GPS-enabled apps? If yes, does it somehow still "tie"into available local cell networks to achieve a position without me paying for (or being registered for) cellular access?
5. Can future iOS upgrades (say to iOS5) still be performed on a deactivated iPhone 4 without a cell plan?
6. Do I need to purchase the iPhone 4 from a Canadian seller given my above questions? What other questions do I need to ask of the seller when looking for a used iPhone 4?

Thanks for that, Paulfromwallasey. I live in a rural area without many cell towers and with WiFi only in my home. I do use offline maps (topographical and street maps) on my iPod Touch 4 outdoors (not needing a signal, WiFi or cellular). I also have a hand-held Garmin GPS receiver but would rather use the GPS in the iPhone (its positional accuracy, while likely being lower than that obtained from my Garmin, is likely sufficient for my needs).
I guess that one of the questions that I was asking is if I were to purchase a used iPhone 4 from someone, and the SIM card have been removed, would the device's GPS still work with GPS-enabled apps (albiet without the cellular-assist)?
Can any pay-as-you-go SIM card be purchased for and used in a deactivated iPhone4? Would this even be necessary for the GPS?

its not like i must...but i do prefer apple for build quality and the way the os uses the hardware..
Priority of the laptop will be:
1- Going live with it, using softwares like ableton like or garageband to trigger samples and ambient patches with MIDI keyboard.
2- Designing on photoshop
3 - Occasional video rendering mostly non hd but good quality like youtube 720p
4 - Gaming when i am bored - I am not at all into gaming but i would surely love to play some
But i want something that will be durable/storngly built and its hardware/processor good enough to run for 3-4 years.
Now if a laptop then which one?

We have the following scenario: The system does not default the Actual Duration when the Start Date, Time and Finish Date, Time are entered on the time confirmation, it should calculate the time and insert the value in the Actual Duration field.
Is it possilbe.

Task planned work update using BAPI

I am using xRPM 4.0. In this, I require to standardize the planned work for Task (In additional data tab page).
For this, I am using standard BAPI for the first time.
I want to do it using modifications to standard BAPI : BAPI_BUS2175_CHANGE.
For this I am using transaction SE37.
1. *In this, I am not able to enter the TASK_GUID.*
2. Where do I can get the list of GUIDs for all the project elements of a cProjects Project?
3. Please let me know where I can get the tables associated with the cProjects Project data storage?
4. One more help will be required is for the sequense of operations to be performed to modify the standard BAPI. (Like the one I am using)

Time pair on Planned working hours 0

I want to generate time pair for days where planned working hours is 0. how can i do that do i have to write a rule to generate time pairs on day with hours 8 (fixed if it is a off day) because if anybody takes PL on off day and CL on off day then i have to generate 8 hours of attendance during time evaluation. By default system is not generating any time pairs and hence i am not able to generate 8 hours. Plz guide.

I can generate time types but the problem is that time type will be a generic time type and will be applicable to all absence classes with operation VARST or OUTTP. Until I have a time pair on a non working day and if that time pair is generated then it can be read using RTIPA OR PTIPA variables.
Otherise for every absence type it will generate 8 hours but I want 8 hours to be generated wtih PL and CL only. If i give LOP or LWP then also system is generating 8 hours time type which is wrong. So until I generate a time type for the off day i cannot read 2001 or TIME PAIR TABLE.
Kindly guide.

Actual work less than planned work

Projects 2010
If actual work is less than planned work the column remaining work is filled with difference between planning and actual. The actual work do complete the job (=100%). If % is put to 100 after actual work is filled and remaining work is
set to 0 the planned work is changed to actual work. I like to maintain the originally scheduled work. How I achieve that.
example: planned work   5.0 hrs
               actual work    3.5 hrs
               complete       100 %
              remaining work 0.0 hrs
This will enable to improve the planning

This is not possible. The work (planned work) will be equal to the acutal work.
What you can do is to use bsaeline: just baseline your project plan in order to keep the original scheduled work.
You'll have something like:
Baseline work: 5hrs
Work: 3.5hrs
Actual work: 3.5hrs
Remaining work: 0 hrs
% complete: 100%

Because when I bought iPhone 4S in Bangladesh, I tried to communicate with SIRI but whenever I Say anything to it or command to call a specific contact,
it says "Sorry I cant answer your question right now please try again later" and many other comments regarding the failure...
And many of my Friends have the same problem...
So my question again. Will Siri ever work in Bangladesh??????
