Technically not feasible and even current Lumia range don't have hardware to run Windows Phone 8!

i can access icloud on my desktop without a problem... make any sense? do i have to restore my phone now or is there a solution? i've wasted the last 2 days trying to figure this out. i can't send or receive emails on my iphone bc of this. which really ***** for work.

IPod Touch will not show up in Windows XP after iTunes 10.2.1 update

After updating iTunes to 10.2.1 my 4G Touch will not show up in Windows XP to charge or to sync. I have been reading this forum and following the multiple Apple help and troubleshooting steps with no luck. I can get Windows to recognize and charge the Touch as a camera but it will not update the driver for Apple Mobile Device. I have come to the conclusion it is an Apple software problem. Does anyone know where I can get the previous Apple Mobile Device driver for Windows XP? I would like to give that a try. It's really disappointing....

Upon uninstalling and re-installing all of the Apple software nothing has changed. I can see Apple Mobile Device Support in add/remove programs but when clicking on "repair" it cannot finish and says it encountered a fatal error and no changes have been made.
The error I get trying to install the driver in Device Manager says "I/O operation has been aborted because of either a thread exit or an application request".
Does anyone have any suggestions?

Update to windows 7, reintalling Ps. Will Adobe Bridge save the tags added to a photo automatically?

I'm updating to windows 7 (xp before.) So I have to reinstall all programs. Will the tags (added with Adobe Bridge) be saved automatically with the photo's? Or do I have to export them somehow? Anyone?

If you added tags in Bridge it added them to the image so they will transfer with image. If they show in Bridge as in italatics it means they are not persistant. Right click on keywork and choose make persistant.

Error 1600, 1601, 1602: Try the following steps to resolve this error:
Ensure proper USB isolation troubleshooting has been performed, and test with a known-good cable.
Follow the steps listed for Error 1604.
This error may be resolved by disabling, deactivating, or uninstalling third-party security, antivirus, and firewall software. See steps in this article for details on troubleshooting security software.
Error 1604: This error is often related to USB timing. Try changing USB ports, uninstalling and reinstalling USB ports, and other available USB troubleshooting steps (troubleshooting USB connections, device not recognized properly, computer won't recognize a FireWire or USB device). If you are using a dock, bypass it and connect directly to the white Apple USB dock connector cable. If the issue persists on a known-good computer, the device may need service.
If the issue is not resolved by USB isolation troubleshooting, and another computer is not available, try these steps to resolve the issue:
Connect the device to iTunes, confirm that the device is in Recovery Mode. If it's not in Recovery Mode,put it into Recovery Mode.
Restore and wait for error 1604.
When prompted, click OK.
Close and reopen iTunes while iPhone remains connected.
iPhone should now be recognized in Recovery Mode again.
Try to restore again.
If the steps above do not resolve the issue, try restoring using a known-good USB cable, computer, and network connection.

Microsoft will no longer update Windows XP as os April 8, 2014 . They recommended to upgrade to Widows 8. If I install Mozila firefox, do I need o upgrade to Win 8. Thanks

You certainly will not be prevented from using XP by Firefox after April 2014.
Planning for the longer term you may wish to explore the other possible options.
The Linux route does have an obvious advantage, nearly everything is free as in costs nothing. So you do not fork out for a licence to use Windows or MS Office. Users sometimes forget the cost of the software because typically a computer is bought with Windows pre installed, but if you keep it for any length of time you may then need to consider the costs of upgrades for Windows (IF the machine is even compatible with the new Windows).
Dual booting (May be more difficult with Windows 8) is choosing at startup; or boot time; what Operating System to run. You could for instance retain and use Windows XP and have Linux available if required. The details of dual booting may seem rather complex at first, but if your machine has a USB port it may even be able to run linux off a USB stick.
Whilst it may not be something a complete newbie should try it should not be ruled out as an option I like the introduction in this article

Background: I found it easier to identify duplicated songs in windows explorer as the songs will be renamed .... 1.mp3, thus enabling me to remove the duplicated songs; unlike in iTunes where I know the trick of showing duplicate songs, but you don't know which one is the one with 1 at the end of the file name.

One way is to use iTunes Folder Watch with its option to check for dead tracks on start up.
Another option is with a set of Lost & Found playlists.
Lost & Found
Create a playlist called Found, select everything in Music and drag it into the Found playlist. Create a smart playlist called Lost matching All the rules Playlist is Music and Playlist is not Found. Your lost tracks will be in this playlist. You can delete them all with a Ctrl-A to select them and Shift-Delete to remove them.
You can then delete the Lost & Found playlists.

If I update to Windows 10 on my Encore 2 will all the drivers be updated if i upgrade to windows 10. the most important drivers i care about are my audio and display drivers.

I have 8" encore 2 running windows 10 and all runs well except for audio. Everything else eicluding display works fine. i have tried everything i've seen online and still get message that no audio device is installed.

Okay. Rather than using Apple Software Update, let's try updating your iTunes using an installer downloaded from the following location:
Latest iTunes Installer
Does the install using the iTunesSetup.exe from there go through any better? If not, what error message do you get from that?
