I am comtemplating buying iPad2 but holding off until I know if the new iOS5 support Java.

  • Will new Intel macs support OSX Tiger?

I work in a testing environment and I need to setup another Tiger computer. We have a few intel macs that have tiger. I need to get another machine and set it up with Tiger. If I purchased a new iMac or mac mini, is there a release of Tiger that will run on these PCs? Also, I have been trying to look for a retail release of Tiger that supports Intel processors. Was a product like this ever shipped?
    Thanks.

    kelly, welcome to Apple Discussions.
Macs can only run an OS version that they shipped with or a higher version. So if you are looking at a new Mac that has Leopard installed, it can't run Tiger. You'll have to buy an older Mac.
You can look at this list of G4 & G5 Mac's specs to find which newest-older model will run on Tiger. http://www.everymac.com/systems/apple/index.html

  • When will NetWeaver (or Portal) support Java 1.5?

And since NetWeaver is based on Eclipse 2 and you need Eclipse 3 for this, anyone know when an upgrade to NetWeaver for the eclipse 3 framework is coming?
    cheers

We don't have a public timeline for such support yet. I understand that's probably a bit frustrating for customers and even for Sun employees who are active in this forum. But we just can't make forward looking statements about product features until schedules are absolutely locked down.

  • Will ios 6 support iphone 3gs?

will the new ios 6 support the iphone 3gs this autumn?

    Thanks a lot!
Also just found this at the bottom of the IOS 6 page:
"Siri is available in Beta only on iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPad (3rd generation), and iPod touch (5th generation) and requires Internet access. Siri may not be available in all languages or in all areas, and features may vary by area. Cellular data charges may apply."
If only Apple would find a way to make it possible to make phone calls from the iPad!
(I would´nt need the phone then!).
But anyway, the way things are going, who knows what the future will bring?!

  • Will The New iPad Support Java?

Will the new iPad support Java?

The support would come from the new Operating System rather than the hardware itself, so the question really is does iOS 4.3 support it ... and the answer is no, I'm afraid. None of the add-ins (Java, Flash, Silverlight) can be added.

    Dear Apple Support,
    Good day to you.
This is to report the problem i encountered when i updated my Ipad mini to the new IOS 8.1..
After the update my Ipad restart and after that it appears a picture that need to connect to itunes and need  to restore. So i connect it to itunes and wait to restore my ipad mini because it is not opening.
After restoring it my ipad is now opening and it is like new that i need to set up again.
I set up again until i reach the apple id and password.
I put my below apple ID and password to unlock my ipad but it didn't work. The message i receive is "the apple ID cannot be used to unlock this Ipad.
What will I do? Please help.
    Thank you

Subject: Your Apple ID was used to sign in to iCloud and iMessage on an iPad mini
    Dear Leslie J.,
Your Apple ID was used to sign in to iCloud and iMessage on an iPad mini named “Leslie Joye's iPad”.
If you have not recently set up an iPad with your Apple ID, then you should change your Apple ID password. Learn more.

    1. It is never a good idea to include personal info like your email address or Apple ID in a post on an open forum.
    2. The email you received DOES NOT say your Apple ID cannot be used to unlock this iPad. The email informs you that your Apple ID was used to unlock an iPad. Fortunately the iPad is yours. The message confirms that. If your Apple ID was used to unlock an iPad that was not yours your would then know to change your password. Since the iPad is yours you do not need to change your password.
    Is your iPad working?

  • Will I lose my saved voice mail when I update to the new iOS update?

Will I lose my saved voice mail when I update to the new iOS update

Your iOS version is probably too old to support software update.  You must update using iTunes on your computer.
Make sure your iTunes on the computer is current.  Plug your iPhone into iTunes.  Let it sync.  Then choose "Check for Updates..." from the iPhone's summary tab in iTunes.  That should od it for you.

  • Remote Application Command-Line Support Is Broken In New iOS Client!!!

Folks here went around and around with Microsoft trying to get them to implement support for the "remoteapplicationcmdline:s:" RDP file setting in all of the Microsoft Remote Desktop clients. Finally, sometime around version 8.0.5 Microsoft
successfully implemented the setting (in the Mac, iOS, and Android clients). It worked flawlessly in version 8.0.6, 8.0.7, and 8.0.8, but now Microsoft has once again broken support for the setting with their latest iOS Remote Desktop client (starting with
version 8.1.0 and going forward all the way up to the current version 8.1.4 release). It's always one step forward, and two steps backwards with Microsoft. Oy!
Hey Microsoft can you please re-implement support for the "remoteapplicationcmdline:s:" setting in the new iOS client??? PRETTY PLEASE!!!

    Hi,
Thanks for your feedback, i will forward your concern to the product group.
    Regards.

No need for alarm. There are several folks a day posting like threads. Most folks know these phishing attempts for what they are and merely delete with prejudice.
To the bottom line... if you wish - and I am sure Apple will take notice - you should FORWARD the email to [email protected] and delete.

  • I'm just wondering when IOS7 will come out for Ipod 4th gen. because half the free apps need the new IOS!!

I'm just wondering when IOS7 will come out for Ipod 4th gen. because half the free apps need the new IOS!!

Some apps have older versions available.
Try this if you want an App that says you need iOS 7 or later:
Go to iTunes on a computer or on a device running iOS 7 and find the app you want and download it using your Apple ID and password.
Now go back to your iPod Touch Gen 4 and go to the App Store and tap updates at the bottom right, then tap Purchased at the top.  Find the app on the list that you just downloaded on the computer (or other device) and tap the cloud to download it.  If it has an alternate version available that is compatible with your iOS, it will prompt you and allow you to download that.

  • HT5568 Will the new update uninstall any Java applications I am currently running?

Will the new update uninstall any Java applications I am currently running?

Safari?  Removing your existing Java applications?  No.  That won't happen.
What will happen is the Java run-time and the Java plug-ins that were part of Safari.  You will be using the Oracle web site, and you'll be downloading and configuring and operating and managing the Java environment and the Java plug-ins for Safari and other browsers more directly, and usually with downloads from Oracle.
Apple deprecated Java a while back, and they're now finishing the work and the transition of support over to the folks at Oracle, and of securing OS X from attacks against stale versions of Java.

  • Will iOS 5 support more than 11 home screen pages ?? Because folders made my phone slower

Will iOS 5 support more than 11 home screen pages ??
Hope to see that in the new iOS

As we're all users like you, we have no more way of knowing the features than you.  All we know is what's been released thus far on Apple's website.

  • Will iOS 7 support iPod Touch 4G?

Will iOS 7 support iPod Touch 4G?

    Welcome to Apple Support Communities
iOS 7 supports iPhone 4 or newer, iPad 2 or newer and the 5th generation iPod touch. The 4th generation iPod touch has got 256 MB of RAM, which make it unable to run iOS 7.

If you have all your music on the cmputer then i would connect up my phone uncheck the Sync Music option and apply.
This should take all the music off your phone .Then you can resync the music back on to it.
If this doesn't work maybe a restore to factory settings and start from scratch is the way to go
