Will newest intel drivers work on my Z77A-G45 Mobo

Hi so i seen over at the win 8 forums i go to they have a new intel chipset driver that just came out found over here https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&ProdId=816&DwnldID=20775&ProductFamily=Software+Products&ProductLine=Chipset+Software&ProductProduct=Intel%C2%AE+Chipset+Software+Installation+Utility&lang=eng  was wondering if these newest drivers will work on my MSI Z77A-G45 motherboard figured i would update them to the more curent ones if they would work??.

OK thought so and yeah you are right my system is using that rapid storage driver i went in there and it gives me status of drives and also what drivers version its using so i won't touch it , so should i just remove this intel smart stuff  its the latest one it looks like it auto updates itself lol.

  • Upgrading Wifi-card in T420s ... will an Intel 6300 work? Other recommendations? Modded BIOS?

    Hi all,
My trusty T420s (4172-CTO) has been rock solid for years but recently has started having issues with wifi disconnects. I've tried multiple wifi drivers, flashing my router firmware, even a new router. Nothing has helped. I am left with the conclusion that my card (Intel 6250) has got to go.
I am familiar with the whitelisting issue, but was wondering if there was a card I could use instead that would work without a bios mod. I checked the HMM and saw that the Intel Centrino Ultimate-N 6300, FRU 60Y3233, is listed for my application. I can get one on ebay fairly cheap. But, I see the 6300 has three antennas, not two like my 6250. Does this mean it won't work in my T420s? Would I just leave one of them disconnected? Which one?
Is there another card, already whitelisted, that would work?
Failing this option, I will go with another card (Intel 7260 unless somone has a better idea) and a modded BIOS. I have found a couple of forums and threads that walk through the process (and provide the BIOSes) but if someone has a recommendation for a site/service to use, I'd appreciate a heads up via PM as I can see such discussion isn't likely weclcome publicly.
    Thanks, all.

Thanks for the reply. What do you mean "2.4 GHz WiFi reliability is a hit or miss"?
Warranty is over so no problem there.
I see a lot of 7260 cards, is there one in specific I need? Example:
    http://goo.gl/PKcRIU
    http://goo.gl/ooaUEw
N would actually be fine, don't really need AC, recently upgraded my router and don't feel compelled to change...the price difference is small, and I'm all for future-proofing, but, I just need the thing to WORK.
    Thanks again.

  • Will the Intel SSD work with my particular computer

I am considering installing an Intel® - OEM X25-M Mainstream 80GB Internal Serial ATA II Solid State Hard Drive in my MacBook Pro 2.2 ghz Intel Duo Core computer (late 2007 model) and I am wondering if it will be compatible and if anyone has had any experience with installing an SSD in an earlier MacBook Pro. Current hard drive is a Hitachi 160GB 5400 rpm drive with less than 1/4 of capacity used. I tried Google and I have gotten conflicting info. I am wondering if there is any issues with the above mentioned drive with older MacBook pros.

I believe it should work fine.

  • Will our existing drivers work with LabVIEW 8.x?

We have drivers for some of our DAQ products that were developed in LabVIEW 6 or 7.
Is there any reason these drivers would not work with the latest versions of LabVIEW?
We ask because there seem to be some customers in Europe who believe our drivers do not work with LabVIEW 8.5, but we know there are users with LabVIEW 8.0 and 8.1 using the drivers without problems.
Any thoughts or suggestions, or are there any known issues with older drivers in LabVIEW 8.5?
    Regards,
    Roger Hammerquist

    Hi Roger,
In general, the latest versions of LabVIEW will work with older
versions of the DAQ drivers.   However, it is certainly possible that some of
the older drivers could have some conflicts.
How “old” are the driver versions that your customers are
using?  Specifically, what version of the
driver does your customer report seeing the errors with?  Is  the
customer using the same operating system that the original program was written
for?  Is the customer seeing problems
upgrading the VIs from LabVIEW 6 or 7 to LabVIEW 8.5?
The suggestion to work with someone to try it out is excellent.
      Posting the specific driver versions
seeing the conflict, might also shed some light on the issue.

  • Will T7700 intel CPU work in a T61?

Will CPU work without any major upgrades? Also, what is the max mem RAM
alllowed in T61? Seller is telling me only 3gb but web says upto 6(?)
    Thanks all!
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    Welcome to the Forum!
yes, T7700 (2.4GHZ) CPU is a Merom processor and compatible with any T61 or T61p. If you encounter a blank screen upon installing the T7700 CPU, then you may need to update your BIOS. However, I would not recommend updating BIOS unless absolutely necessary as a failed BIOS update can brick your computer.
As for maximum memory, T61 can definitely take 2x 4GB= 8GB total DDR2 RAM despite the outdated documentation, (see here for example), which may lead some to believe it is limited to 6GB or 4GB. If you install a 32-bit operating system you will be limited to a little over 3GB. You will need a 64-bit operating system to access the full 8GB.
Have a great day. (I do not work for Lenovo)

  • [WORKAROUND] flashplugin 10 and newest intel drivers.

    Hi, i own a netbook with a gma945 chipset.
I updated my system after some months and installed new intel driver, xf86-video-intel-2.20 and linux 3.6.9.
I'm still using flashplayer 10 because flash 11 doesn't support overridegpuvalidation anymore, and in the past i was able to watch youtube in fullscreen with hardware scaling enabled, but after the update all i get in fullscreen is a black video.
disabling hw acceleration by removing the override line in mms.cfg or by using the flash window by right clicking on the video works, but the gpu is not used at all, and the playback is choppy.
    Did anyone noticed the same?

Does youtube in fullscreen uses hardware scaling for you? (rightclick on the playing video -> show video info)
I ask because flashplugin 10 was the last able to do it by using overridegpuvalidation in mms.cfg

  • Overclocking Intel i7-3770k on MSI z77a-g45

    Hello!
I am interested in overclocking my intel i7-3770k to a bare minimum at which my FPS can be increased in a game callled StarCraft II.
I understand I have to do a various amount of changes, including something called XMG,vcore, cpu volt and cpu ratio, and I also understand my core should be tested in something called prime 95 while slowly adjusting these settings to a point where the CPU should probably hit 65-70 degress celcius.
Now, I have read a couple of guides and seen some screenshots of other bios systems, but since my cooler and power supply, (750 mw power supply and CoolerMaster 212 hyper evo cooler) I have gotten unsure whether I am able to take these steps without putting my own CPU at risk.
I am making this thread and i am able to follow some screenshots of my BIOS very rapidly if necessary.
Luckily the bios UI looks fairly easy to navigate through and I believe myself to not be an idiot and easily guided.
I believe it is necessary for you to know theese things:
    1. I do drop down to about 20 FPS in a standard StarCraft II 400 food fight in a very late game situation, but more than 95% of the time I will be above 80 fps. I have GTX 560 TI, 8 gb ram, so I believe only my CPU is causing issues with fps.
    2. My CPU temperatures goes around 30 degress celcius in bios, and 40-47 (mostly around 42) at windows with background programs running.
    3. My current CPU runs at 4.2 GHz, the standard, obviously.
    4. I intend only to increase my CPU performance to an amount where I bottom to 40-50 fps at max.
    Any help is much appreciated.
    Thank you!

I mostly use it for gaming, but I'm full screen so can't see how high it gets. I do plan on getting the Cooler Master Evo. I went back to the stock settings so that means Intel EIST and Turbo Boost are on, but Enhanced Turbo is not. Right now it idles around 32c-35c but can and does instantly shoot up to about 50-60c if I do ANYTHING that maxes out a core. Multithreaded video encoding can easily get up to 80c. OCCT easily 90c. I shaved some heat by dropping the PLL voltage to 1.65v.
I understand that having the CPU increase the voltage when the multiplier changes is smart, but I would rather lock the multipler at a lower voltage. For example, if I lock at 34x, it really runs 1.1v. I'd like to be able to control that voltage and see if I can run 34x at 1.0v, or even 0.9v.
Honestly I guess it is fine since I have been running it like this since I built the machine in February. I was just curious why the board ignores the setting. I would expect it to with EIST and Turbo on, but when locking the multiplier at a set rate, I would expect it to respect the user voltage setting. Then again, I haven't tweaked settings like this since the Q6600 days so I guess these chipsets act differently.
On the subject of voltages, I been experimenting with my RAM. I have G.Skill SNiper 1866. Most people say they can get theirs to 2133 but mine only goes to 2000 (ways of manufacturing I suppose). But the curious part is I have to set the RAM voltage to about ~0.02v under what I really want it to be. For example, 1.48 = 1.505v, 1.58 = v1.602v. I manually set this because Auto jacks my RAM voltage up to 1.65v when I overclock it to 2000mhz, but it is not needed (v1.60 is running fine and passed a complete memtest cycle). Anyway, is the voltage drift normal?

  • Secure boot not working with MSI Z77a-G45 And system reserve not showing

Ok so i re did my windows after i did a zero fill on my hard drive as it was showing a corrupted sector on my disk that seemed to fix it for now, until it comes back if it does crossing my fingers it gone for good. But now i can't seem to get Secure boot to work i mean i did not have it before as i just slapped the motherboard in with a existing windows, that was to be expected but this is a clean install of windows 8.1 and i even have secure boot on but its not working and reports as off in windows.  Is it because i have my bios set to legacy+UEFI??? would that make secure boot not work??. i even went as far as turning it off and back on again the secure boot setting nothing made a difference.  I mean its not a big deal bit would be nice to know why its not working, also another wired thing and i will post pictures of it, as i cant see my system reserved partition in disk management but diskpart says it there, i will post those pictures any ideas??.

fixed it is my legacy+uefi another forum got back to me.

  • MSI Z77A-G45 RAID Issue

    Greetings...
Just got a new MSI MoBo and wanted to RAID1 my two WD Caviar Black HDDs. However, everytime I enable RAID and reboot it goes to a black screen with two "Z"s randomly placed in the middle. Once I get to the "black screen", it will only boot to that screen afterwards and needs a CMOS reset to fix. I have tried everything I can think of, but always get the same results. I have successfully installed Windows 7 on one of the drives with AHCI mode enabled, and have also had IDE mode work fine... but as soon as I enable RAID - black screen.
Everything else on the board seems to be fine. Anyone have any ideas?
    SYSTEM:
    MSI Z77A-G45 mobo
    Intel i5-3570 CPU
    Coolermaster Hyper 212+ EVO
    8GB Crucial DDR3-1600
EVGA 560Ti 448 Core Classified (Primary)
    XFX 260GTX XXX Ed. (Physx)
    2 x WD Caviar Black Dual-Proc HDDs
    LG DVD Super-Multi Burner
    Silverstone Decathalon 850W PSU
    Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit

FIXED -  Ended up reflashing the BIOS, which restored the RAID utility. BTW, my G15 keyboard would not register the CTRL-I to get into the utility... I had to use a PS/2 keyboard, which required a CMOS reset in order to recognize. Just posting this in case anyone else runs into this.

    11. How is the Apple Mini DisplayPort to Dual-Link DVI adapter different from the Apple Mini DisplayPort to DVI adapter?
The Apple Mini DisplayPort to Dual-Link DVI adapter works best with displays that operate at dual-link resolutions, which are resolutions above 1920 x 1200. For displays that do not support dual-link DVI resolutions (displays that operate at resolutions of 1920 x 1200 or lower) you should use the Apple Mini DisplayPort to DVI adapter instead.
    12. Which monitors work with the Apple Mini DisplayPort to Dual-Link DVI adapter?
Use the Mini DisplayPort to Dual-Link DVI Adapter to connect your computer to a 30-inch display that includes a dual-link DVI connector, such as the Apple Cinema HD Display. Note: For such displays, be sure to connect the USB connection on the adapter to the USB port on your Mac; also connect the USB connection from the display to the USB port on the adapter.
