Startup your Mac in Safe Mode
A Safe Mode boot takes longer than a normal boot so be patient.
Once you are in Safe Mode, click Restart from the Apple () menu.

After updating my iPhone 4S to iOS 7, the lock screen will not accept my password and I am locked out of my phone. Anyone else seeing this? What can I do to fix this?

    Hello kennyred,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
For more information on this, take a look at:
iOS: Forgotten passcode or device disabled after entering wrong passcode
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1212
Connect the device to the computer with which you normally sync and open iTunes.
Note: If iTunes asks you to enter the passcode, try another computer that you have synced with. Otherwise, go to "If you have never synced your device with iTunes, or you do not have access to a computer" section below.
If the device is still disabled, or if iTunes does not automatically sync your device, sync the device with iTunes.
If you have chosen to encrypt your backup, it will contain the passcode. Disable backup encryption before restoring from backup. Learn more about iOS backups in iTunes.
When the backup and sync is complete, select Restore from Backup and choose the most recent backup of your device.
    Best of luck,
    Mario

Apple ID has my old email address. It will not allow me to change the address and will not accept my password or ID questions.   I recently upgraded to OSX Yosemite 10.10.1.  I also have an Apple ID that works with iTunes and would like to keep it as my primary.

To change the iCloud ID on your devices you have to go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, provide the password for the old ID when prompted (if using iOS 7), then sign back in with your current ID.
If you don't know the password for your old ID, or if it isn't accepted, you will have to temporarily recreate it in order to delete the existing account.  To do this, go to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID.  Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change.  Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address.  You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iPhone on your device, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then save any photo stream photos that you wish to keep to your camera roll.  When finished go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud).  Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was.  Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.

How can I download Adobe Reader if it will not accept my password?

I have spent more than 3 hours (over 2 on your ask the expert where I waited forever and got about 5 minutes of Santos' time!)  He transferred me to this area where there is no one to help me.  I can't adjust my thermostat until I update my adobe reader and can't do that because your website will not take my password.  However, adobe.com will take it.  So what the hell do I do?????

  • After downloading 5.0 , it will not accept my password

After downloading update 5.0 The i-pod will not accept my password. Is there a standard password?

No.  There is no standard/defaults passcode.  I assume you are talking abut the lock-screen passcode. If so, just restore the iPod from backup. If iTunes asks for a passcode and you can't enter the passcode, place the iPod in recovery mode and then restore. For recovery mode:
iPhone and iPod touch: Unable to update or restore

  • I know longer have a flash player because the update will not accept my password.  I even changed my password.

I no longer have a flash player because the update process will not accept my password even after I changed my password.

We are all alive here, but not working for Adobe. Installing Flash Player isn't asking for your Adobe password.
When you install or update most software you will be asked for your own computer's administrator password. This is the one you chose when you first switched on your machine, and nobody can tell you what it is.

I had a similar problem, tried for days to find a fix no real help from TB.After going through a mass of comments finally found the problem solved.
At the request of Microsoft I had set up 2stage Verification of my Hotmail Account, this verification stopped my password from being accepted. If you go to Google 2-step verification they will issue with a 16 digit password that you only use once.
    Good luck,Barry

  • HT201240 Macbook goes into "Safe Boot" mode when I start it but it will not accept my password to complete the boot.

When I start my Macbook it tries to start in Safe Boot mode and it will not accept my password.  I have tried to reset the password by inserting the "Mac OS X Install" disk and restarting while pressing C but that process has no effect.  The same Safe Boot screen appears and again it will not accept my password.
I am not sure what version of MacOS X I have as the disk is now in the machine and it will not eject.
    Any suggestions?

You can eject the disc by depressing the track pad/mouse at startup.
Are you depressing the Shift key at startup to make the Mac boot in Safe Mode?
Here's the instructions if you have the discs.
