i have emptied itunes and reset ...tried with my library empty
tried loading from library based on the machine and also off on a hard drive all with new virgin copies of itunes
this is so frustrating as i am begining to use my macbook pro less and less

You could also partition your drive, or use an external. Clone your current startup to the external or other partition and then install Mavericks on that (or the othe way arround if you want).
You'll have to reboot to get to those programs, though.

I have this problem also. I was able to download Mountain Lion to my daughter's Mac Mini without any trouble. However, I can't download this to my MacBook Pro. I have read other sites that suggest VirusBarrier is the problem and recommend turning it off in VirusBarrier>Preferences>Advanced. I have tried this and it still doesn't work, although some report that it has worked for them.

  • Shop purchased photoshop elements 13 will not download to my iMac using the redemption codes.

    Hi
I purchased this at a store called Harvey Norman here in Western Australia and after going through all the redemption code and serial number panels when I hit the down load button nothing happens.
Although the panel with the download button tells me I have been successfully the system it will not download to my iMac. Any ideas anyone? Incidently all Adobe help panels and contacts do not respond
    or are completely opaque.

  • After downloading the lastest update, IOS 6, my iphone will not download apps.

after downloading the lastest update, IOS 6, my iphone will not download apps. help

I'm having the same problems. Can't even find out if Apple is working on it. Tried to downgrade but is not supported by apple so error 3194 comes up which is verifying with the apple web site. Which then stops everything. I understand you can modify the "hosts" file to by pass the issue, but hate doing that as it gets involved. May try it if I can't get any satisfaction from apple.

MY iphone 4 for the past week will not download apps It starts to but then sends a meessage that it can't

What is the message you see?..Have you been able to download app's before? When did the issue start? What app are you trying to download? Is this a new device? From your iPhone, go into store then make sure App'a and Data are selected.

  • TS1368 My iPad will not download app updates or new apps, however all other Internet connections do work, I can connect and browse apps just not download

I can browse the iTunes store, get on the Internet ,etc, but it will not download apps or updates for my apps. I get a message that it cannot connect to the store

Try logging out of your account on the iPad by tapping on your Apple ID in Settings > Store and then log back in and see if it works.
If that doesn't solve the problem, go to Settings > General > Date & Time and change the date to a few months in the future and then re-try.

  • IPad will not download apps.

My iPad will not download apps. It asks for my password, I enter it, then the app appears on screen with "waiting." Then nothing more happens. I am able to download email and get on webpages without trouble. We have an airport wireless router hard wired to our cable modem. Have looked at all the suggestions on apple support page...any ideas?

Do you have any podcasts that could be stuck? Things downloading in the background that might have gotten paused?

    Can anyone help me?

We cannot know. Even calling your post would be an exaggeration/ understatement, depending on how you want to see it. We need hard technical facts - operating system, computer specs, what is the exact error/ problem and so on.

  • TS3274 I pad will not download apps

My ipad will not download apps, it shows it is downloading, but when
I click on the icon there isn't anything there.

That seems really odd. Try rebooting the iPad and see if the apps will launch correctly.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.

  • My ipad 2 will not download apps how do i fix this?

My ipad 2 will not download apps when i try to download them they just say waiting and it does this every time I try.

I had ipad2 almost for eight months and recenytly had problem with appstore but now it is working like before. I exactly did these things:
Remove those recent app that couldn't insall completely (check your itune and remove your old updates list) and
go to setting store and sign out of apple ID and sign in again plus turn off all of the automatic updating
check your available storage (anyway I'm sure you did)
I also remove all of the app that i heard they have problem somehow like google and angry bird...

  • HT204053 My new HK iPhone will not download apps purchased in U.S. and says I need an HK Apple ID.  This creates a second Apple ID and I am concerned that I will have to pay twice for the same app.

My new HK iPhone will not download apps purchased in U.S. and says I need an HK Apple ID.  This creates a second Apple ID and I am concerned that I will have to pay twice for the same app.

Apps previously purchased will continue to operate wherever you are.    However; you'll not be able to update them other than by using the original purchase details.   What this means is that you can only 'purchase' from a country's store if you have a valid credit card and residence of and in that country.

  • HT2589 My new ipad air will not download apps or ask for my itunes account info when I do try to download or purchase an app.

Just added the new ipad air to my itunes account. When I go to purchase or download apps it will not ask for my itunes account info, a grey box appears on my main screen with "waiting" under it and in the "app store" it will show the app that i chose with a constant spinning circle. Any ideas?

The iCloud account has nothing to do with downloading apps over wireless, but if you do not have an iCloud account you can delete that account information if you want to do so.  Do you have other use of WiFi with the iPad?  It is connecting and working correctly for email and such?
You could try going to Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings and then re-select the WiFi network and enter the password again...then do a reboot by holding both the power and home buttons until the apple logo appears, ignore the red slider if that appears.
All of that may clear problems of a minor nature.

  • IPhone 4 will not download apps.

iPhone 4 will not down load apps, just freezes. I can still use phone, but get "waiting" logo on app downloads.

So I think I've found the problem AND have a solution...
Well... at least it's fixed my issue!
Having used my phone on another Wifi network I discovered that all worked well... so therefore the issue had to be either with my Wireless Router or my ISP. A quick call to my ISP ruled them out.
So to the Router... I was preparing myself to have to go and buy a new one - but thought I'd try a couple of tests
Firstly I tried to enable port forwarding for port 443 (as app store requires a secure connection/port) - but the router was already configured to enable this.
Secondly, I thought I'd update the router firmware - but it was already up to date.
Finally I restored the router to it's default settings... and strangely the iPhone started working and downloading apps via wifi!
So now the question is - why did it all of a sudden start working? After a bit of looking through the settings, I came across the option "Connection Type" - prior to resetting the router, I was using a PPPoA setting. After the reset, the setting was defaulted to PPPoE.
So with PPPoE all works well. With PPPoA downloading Apps/using secure connections fails!
A quick test to set the router back to PPPoA confirmed this.
So I'm running the router with Connection Type PPPoE and am now very happy!
For reference, I've got a Belkin N1 ADSL Modem Router.
    I hope this helps others!?

  • Sprint iPhone 4s will not download apps.

For two weeks I have not been able to download apps <20mb on my Sprint iPhone 4s.  I'm not the only one, as several people in the store at the time were having the same issue.  They didn't know what to tell me because "Apple and Sprint know about the issue, but neither one wants to take the blame."
My Sprint Android devices download apps just fine.
However, my iPhone 4s downloads apps on WiFi just fine.
Wat do Big Fruit?  Help me out here please.  Downloading apps is a rudimentary feature of the smartphone at this stage in the game.
    Thank You

Here is what I have tried:
    Restart
    Reset All Settings
    Restore from iTunes
    Restore Manually
Faux iTunes account to counter check my primary account and see if it's my primary account specifically
Signing in and out of iTunes
    Checking my Updates
    Checking my Queue
Deleting and redownloading all of my apps in iTunes
Deleting the commonly corrupted download.28.sqlitedb file
Deleting and re-entering all of my Account info (including billing, in iTunes)
Checked the ownership of the launch daemons to ensure they are mobile and not root
Restored older firmware, updated via iTunes
Restored on a Mac, Restored on Windows 7, Restored on Windows 8 - on 3 different machines
    more I can't remember...
Also, this problem is well documented by now.  Go into the App Store, install an app, it appears on the Springboard, displays as "waiting' after a minute (metaphorically speaking) it says "Loading" but the progress bar is already half way full.  At this point, it goes back to "Waiting...".  This cycle propagates itself a few times and then the message "Application cannot be downloaded at this time [Done] - [Retry]."  If I choose retry, the cycle continues, vicsious and relenting.  If I click done, the "half downloaded app" just sits there on the Springboard "half downloaded."
Of note too is that I stopped in at a Sprint store today where the techs with iPhones were also having the problem and said they are hearing about it more and more.  They also said that both Apple and Sprint are aware of the problem but neither company want's to take responsibility because of the fact that all of Sprints other phones, such as Android handsets are able to download apps.  Apple doesn't want to take the blame because it's only Sprint's network that is having the issue.
So, who is the whipping boy in this situation?
